CGC does *not* do a 9.9 prescreen. At least, not yet.
True! We meant that it’s coming and people are clearly gunning for the grade now. Seemingly they are creating a process that’s more in depth to allow the 9.9 to be graded with such a massive increase so suddenly. Or that’s not happening at all and it’s all a coincidence 🤷♂️
They are handing 9.9’s like candy. 9.8 , 9.9 side by side , could you tell the difference.
@@CleftCore Most can't tell a 9.0 thru a 9.9. It's up to the grader and why so many books get re-graded.

I have a Artgerm Vampirella 9.9 variant and it’s gorgeous and when compared it looks more flashier. It’s the charcoal variant
0:59 hate to tell you gem mint, but Tec 359 is not the 1st appearance of "Batgirl, period". A little book called Batman 139 came out 6 years earlier in 1961. That's the true first appearance of a recognized "batgirl", good old Betty Kane. Barbara may be more popular, but she ain't the first.

Betting on comics is a pump and dump scam . You grade to preserve and gain credentials or provenance. Time heals all paper wounds.
I have the first appearance of ghost rider and the first issue he is my favorite superhero and yes i have been reading the new ghost rider comics and can’t wait for the new series that’s coming out with vengeance!
Nice! I've been collecting for a while and have the full runs of Western Ghost Rider, All his appearances in Marvel Spotlight, his first regular series from the 70's and the 90's series.
If your interested in Iron Fist 14, just wait. A few months after the movie is over, it will go back to it's pre comic boom pricing for sure.

The person who bought the .5 iron fist might have a copy that needs a better cover.... Marry them and then grade.
It's funny spec on Barbara Gordon as Batgirl for possibility in Brave & the Bold when Gunn basically teased both Nightwing and another Batgirl, Cassandra Cain a year ago when Bleeding Cool posted an article on lists of DC characters who'd make a great addition to the new movieverse. Eight characters suggested but Gunn said only four were showing up in the first phase. Nightwing and Static were the guarantees on the list. Now though? Vixen and Cass were the others.
However, it's still wise to spec on Babs showing up. Just my gut tells me not as Batgirl, but as Oracle. I just keep looking at that Waller series and it would be PRETTY sweet to introduce Oracle to the new DCU via that and Babs be the first one to introduce Bat character-wise. The poetry would be GOOD too given Oracle first appeared in the Ostrander Suicide Squad series. SOOOOOO it would make sense for Babs showing up there first.
I'm reading Ghost Rider mini. It's fantastic but I fear they will spoil the outcome with an issue zero, llike they spoiled the Moon Knight Zero .

Rule of thumb…if it’s on a UA-camrs list it’s too late… you are buying the bag… buy what you like sell what makes sense… many of these sales are artificially done. Like any pump and dump not everyone will get ATH sale prices I learned not to FOMO from rug pulls in Crypto and NFTs now I can spot any pump and dump from a mile away
They are just listing the top 10 comic books of the week and giving some sales figures. It's not the same thing as a pump and dump.

At the same time one can act like they should wait for the price to go down while everyone else is scrambling to get a copy...then no one sells...then whenever they appear for sale there is a bidding war and the value keeps going up.
I am sure many specs fall flat, but why worry about spending a couple extra bucks and then missing out on a book...spending an extra 10 bucks on a book you like is not amazing, but it is WAY better than not spending 20 on a book that was "valued" at 10 that now you can't find and is creeping into the 100's (which usually keeps going)...
Except for maybe the person that bought it, how many people looked at images of that “9.9” GS X-Men #1 and thought that they had seen nicer copies graded 9.8, or even 9.6?
This whole 9.9 CGC grade is stupid. Just seems like a money grab and a scam from CGC. It’s a stain on the grading community.

I feel most people dont find Reynolds humour that clever anymore(especially comic book related), as its been the same jokes since the movie "Waiting". The Giant Size X-Men #1 9.9 is a joke. One of the top pressers and cleaners did a side by side of the 9.9 next to a book he worked on that got a 9.6. The comparison wasn't even close. The 9.6 was the far superior book. That 9.9 looked like a 9.4 on a very good day. CGC is ruining the hobby worse than they already have.
Pretty misleading comment on the Acolyte. Critics are hammering it? It has an 80 on rotten tomatoes. Or if you prefer metacritic, it has a 67 with no negative reviews from critics.
You may as well just ignore audience score from almost any major release these days, especially ones that feature a female or non-straight main character. People will review bomb things before they are even released. Or you can get the opposite, where people will spam 5 Star scores fo artificially inflate a score.
Movie spec is the tail wagging the dog. Comics should go up on the strengths of the stories and writing, not the possibility of a movie. Not sustainable for value.
