More specifically, he has been trying to to save the white dove at the beginning of the video, which represents Jungkook. For example, when Jin realizes the dove is alive (when it moves inside the cage), he looks outside; it then immediately shows that Jungkook has escaped and is alive, running. It wasn't that Jin magically revived the bird's life, but rather, he has been going back in time over and over again and failing, as evidenced by all of the empty cages around him from all his previous attempts. It even shows Jungkook dead on the ground behind J-Hope! Theoretically, if the dove (and therefore Jungkook) lives, so does everyone else, because all of the dead people on the battlefield at the beginning are alive around BTS at the end of the video. Jin is trying to save the future from becoming disaster. (( Apparently this is the same as the Save Me Webtoon, where Jin is also a time traveler trying to save Jungkook's life. So their roles are matched! )) Maybe it's because Jungkook blows the conch horn to start the "rebirth" of the new world, by summoning the whole volcano annihilation event (during the dance break). We see that the trees are burned, but quickly regrow, meaning that the wasteland has become a rich new world for them to live in beyond their walls. This wouldn't happen if Jungkook wasn't saved by Jin, I think. And because Jin finally succeeded in creating the best timeline, the "NO MORE DREAM" becomes just "DREAM". They won, their story in this MV is over. The one dove at the beginning is joined by 6 other doves at the end (the members of BTS). Idk! There's a lot of ideas floating around twitter. It's quite complex!
This mv is subject to different interpretation. My take on this it all about BTS opening the gates (of USA/Western) not just for them but also to other artist from Korea and Asia. They went through a lot like nobody believes or accept them because thet came from a almost bankrupt and small company. They faced a lot of hardships before they got accepted by the Western world now. And they could have not achieved this without the ARMY and all of the seven guys no more no less. You could see Jungkook running after them with a smile. At the end it says No More Dream and then Dream it means they have achieved their dream to break the weat and start living their dreams. A side note on the child actress with V. She is Rina Jonhson. On her Instagram she mentioned tha she auditioned without knowing that it is a BTS video. She came to know when she passed the audition only. On the first day of the shoot she said that V was very gentle with her and V told her that she is going to play the part of his lost sister. And V was always asking her about herself in Japanese as she is half Japanese and she said V was more better than her in Japanese. On the second day of the shoot she get to meet the rest of the guys. She said the boys were always having fun on the set like dancing all the time. She became an ARMY after meeting them. Now am sure you are all wondering that why she was supposed to be the lost sister of V when there is no indication in the mv. I think since V loves children she told Rina Jonhson just to make her comfortable during the shoot. It just shows how really humble V is. He did not act like a spoiled rock star on the set. She was concern about the people he is working with. And i believe it goes with the reat of the members. Cheers proud ro be an ARMY.
I know many have their theories....first time in seven years they finally surprised me 👀 with so much symbolism and the moment I saw Jin battle field w/dead bird & empty cage, Jimin w/things of the past, blindfolded girl w/Tae & neck tattoo (represents infection & broken wings), namjoon w/ animals & ship, binded jungkook running & escaping, Hobi field of twisted trees, Suga in underworld, the wall and large rock it literally reminded of Noah’s ark with maze runner combination of the Lion King with the different time period outfits & scenes, apocalyptic fake love dance break, dove of hope, horn call of freedom and trying to understand story behind jungkook then he does the young forever run up the rock smiling and i’m like 😱🤯 After watching the second time OMG OMG I think finally got the meaning toward the end Jin released the dove (represents JK), the horn call of freedom, walking through the wall, the firestorm and up the rock is them beginning of a new chapter with new songs, genres, and concepts. Regarding the wall I believe this is BTS’s way of showing that they’re ready to move onto the next chapter of hope & freedom and also showing how far theyve come, which is why they put their debut track “NO MORE DREAM” changing to “DREAM” (PAST MEETS PRESENT) *THERES SO MANY APOCALYPTIC FUTURE REFERENCES* They finally put together their HYYH storyline in this MV which means they have completed that story of their lives and ready to move to the next chapter with new concepts, genres and songs! As many know, even though no one wants to think about it but its moving closer & closer to JIN’s time to enlist 😭 probably Suga too or maybe all of them but nothing as been confirmed so until then all seven will continue making music as a group plus JIN and the maknae line haven’t started their solo debuts on the side yet (we are still waiting for that) also it’s essential to show support for their younger brothers (juniors) TXT [Tomorrow by TogetherZ] because #TXT1anniversary is coming up and Suga’s 27th birthday is next month!
