- Happy New Year comrades! I'm back from celebrations) I usually start talking about a certain series with a "5 facts"-like video and for some reason, MHA escaped that fate, so here it is. There are plenty of things that people don't understand about this show, like how Bakugo is actually one of the best student in the entire school and how Lemillion was totally right to let Overhaul go! Hope you find these 5 Things that you didn't understand in My Hero Academia will be fun and informative.

Can I just just mention the fact that the behavioural changes both Midoriya and Shigaraki have are also quite similar. Midoriya stars out as a crybaby and becomes a badass. Shigaraki starts out as a man-child and becomes a competent leader. Whereas one starts out positively impacting those around him and ends up negatively impacting those around him, the other goes through the opposite process.

Shinso not being able to control multiple people at the same time was probably him saying that, people were targeting him in the a vs b battles as the other students talked about due to being able to practically take some out completely out with just a couple of words, so he wouldn’t be able to control multiple people without getting caught lacking due to it taking to much concentration and not being able to concentrate on his surroundings, to put it shortly, he said, I can’t focus on brainwashing multiple people without losing concentration on my surroundings to not get caught
Hmmm. This is a bit of a stretch because Cavalry Battle wasn't easy either.
@@mahistv yes, but for that they were mainly focused on the big 3 teams from class 1-a mainly deku so he didn’t have to worry so much about people going to targeting him, plus he didn’t have to mind control the people underneath him
I also want to add on during the sports festival the people he brainwashed were in proximity to each other in both examples. They were in a cramped hallway in the beginning of the race and the calvary team were literally touching distance.
Plus they all did the same tasks more or less and were geared towards the same goal anyway so giving orders wouldn't be too over complicated
Tbh, still a writing oversight cause of what shinso outright stated was "never tried" but it's one way justify the logic behind shinso's quirk
it think it was mainly that but also during the calvary battle he might've just brainwashed someone from a team and said "go after todoroki" or somthing to get them off his ass. also, during the race in the ua sports festival he was able to get so many to listen was because it was one simple command, not commanding a coordinated attack.
4:19 I actually can answer that, when I first saw it I was also confused on the reasoning behind that claim however it wasn't a lie just poorly explained. What they mean is if Shinso was to announce a question to a room full of people and everyone was to answer it he can't mind control a single person in the room, however Shinso can approach each person individually and ask the same question and mind control them, from there he just needs to repeat the process until everyone in the room is mind controlled.
Hmmm, that's an interesting take on this. But it's just the wording that he used that is throwing me off

One character who's english voice i loved was Shoto, I felt his voice REALLY fit him, especially compared to the jap imo. Also Hawks and All might have exptional voice actors!!!! Honestly theres very few voice actors in the dub i disslike! The only one i can think of is young Touya but only bc theres a scene comming up which i think the voice is a bit to high pitched for and since Dabi is my fave character I was a lil dissapointed.
@@rebekahtink4996 Dabi's voice is more raspy from smoke inhalation (I mean- he did burn alive) and deeper because of growing up. It seems logical that he sounds higher and less rough in the flashbacks
The point Shinso is trying to make is that he can’t simultaneously brainwash more than one person. He can brainwash one person, and then another one person, and then another one person, making three people brainwashed. But he doesn’t think he can’t brainwash three at once
I can accept that if it was better explained
I love mha, u can tell every character has their own history and beliefs, even though it's not shown, not just the student and famous heros, but also the less known hero and villain also have their own unique background and goals. Something I wish disney would learn because a lot of their movies/shows characters have felt like generic copies of each other that have check boxes, instead of being their own unique character with their own history and beliefs.

Shinso knew his next match would be against Class 1-A so he was probably giving his teammates false information in hopes that his opponents would go to his teammates in between rounds asking for more details on his quirk. Astonishingly devious prep if real.
I doubt he will do that. Because that will also hinder him in this particular match

if I remember correctly when shinso said he couldn't control multiple people. I think he said that he couldnt control them by saying 1 line then all are brainwashed but he has to brainwash them 1 at a time
That would be a good way to look at it
perhaps shinso is able to control the multiple people during the sports festival since they were moving as a unit. all of them doing a similar motion allowing him to more easily focus and not fragment his mind. he still technically lied but it's my head cannon.
That would makes sense, because he will have top issue identical commands
Maybe Shinso meant that he can't put multiple people under his control instantly. Like, If he spoke to multiple people at once, and each of them responded, his concentration wouldn't be enough for his quirk to work on all of them. But if he takes on them one by one, he can gather an army of brainwashed people.
That's about the only thing that will explain it)

Here me out. What if Shinzo was able to mind control many people as they were pretty much all doing the same task (running) and very close together. Whereas when they were fighting, it would be too complicated to try to mind control more than one person as well at those people’s quirks. Say those two people are separate from each other while he mind controlling and they both get attacked (by two people with different quirk.) then he wont be able to focus on them. Anyways i dont know if that makes sense as sometimes i just rambled but that’s my thought.
Hmmm, if he gives identical commands, maybe it's possible.

If the whole attendance thing is real it could cause a lot of problems with illness spreading in schools. It would also be pretty ableist, because if someone had a health problem or other reason that caused them to miss to many days and still get punished for it it wouldn’t be right.
It is true, though I'm sure there has to be exceptions for medical and other issues, otherwise it's shit
ig there are exceptions if its a medical problem, u just need a justification, for example, after the stain attack iida, todoroki, and izuku were injured so they stayed in the hospital for a few days, i think at that time the classes started already, and they had to miss yk

Tbh, I'm surprised there's not too much about the Todoroki family here. It's definitely the arc with the most misconceptions and "questionable" takes I've seen online.

Personally, I think Hitoshi is purposely lying about his quirk, because his quirk is only effective if people don't know how it works. If people know they can be brainwashed while another person is held by Shinsou's quirk, then information gathering would be near impossible for him. However, if they think he can only control one person, then he can capture as many villains as he wants under his quirk. Why would he lie to his classmates? HAVE YOU EVER *MET* A HIGH SCHOOLER!? THOSE WANNA BE BRATS GOSSIP LIKE THE SCHOOL GIRLS THEY ARE!? He's quirk would be known by the whole school and the internet in weeks!?
This is the only reasonable explanation I can see

Tbh, there's only like, one thing that I've actively grown to dislike, which is super rare for me. I absolutely love the vast majority of My Hero, and it sucks how much unnecessary hate it gets.

shinso is able to control multiple people at once by talking to them one by one. what he was meaning during the fight was that he doesn't know if he control 3 people by all of them responding to the same word. for example he says hi to Izuku and Izuku responds he is controlled but then says hi to Katsuki and he responds he now has both under control, but he doesn't know if he can control both Izuku and Bakugo by them both responding to the same Hi
That would be the only explanation and I'd loved if they clarified it, because he made it sound like he can't control several people simultaneously.
I think with Shinso, It's hard to brainwash multiple people back to back and potentially give them commands at different times, whereas with the cavalry battle, he ideally had them all doing the same general actions at the same time

Something I would like to add regarding the parallels between shigaraki and Deku is that both fought opponents that mirror the other.
Deku with the help of a large complex organization Fought an underground struggling villain group with a leader with the power to destroy anything with the touch of his hand. (Overhaul)
Shigaraki with a small struggling villain group fought a large complex organization (that is deeply imbedded into society) with a leader that has a stockpiling power that is defined by percentages of power. (Redestro)

For Shinso, I think the calvary battle was different because he's controlling everyone in the same way (ex. moving everyone to the left at once. IE: Giving the same order to everyone). I think what he meant was that he couldn't focus on giving different orders to different people at once (ex: getting Bakugo to do something specific while also telling Midoria to do something entirely different). It would be like trying to say 2 different things at once with one voice, it just doesn't work.
I wish they were more clear, because this makes more sense

'Cause I'm starting to see something that I think makes a whole lot sense, I think that Shigaraki, isn't actually forcing him into the league of villains because, he knew how hard it was to achieve something, he didn't even look like he was trying to, at all, but it's just my theory, don't take it to heart, please. 😫🙏🙏💓

I'm guessing what Shinso meant was he wouldn't be able to give them all different orders. He can brainwash multiple people to do the same/extremely similar tasks but wouldn't be able to brainwash two people to complete two different tasks.
That would explain the Sports Festival, because all those people were doing the same thing
Now Bakugo is back from the dead and tearing All for One to pieces. He’s the symbol of victory and very likely the descendant of OfA user #2. He’s on tv all over the world saving the world with Deku.

Whoever said Shinso did the calvary battle at the same time...? The battle is what... 10 minutes? Shinso takes control of 1... does his thing for a single second (which in such instances is all it takes...) then when he is done, picks another target... Easily time to control multiple people in a single span... "But Both have no memory of doing anything for an extended period...?"
No... That's not a conscious action... That's a side effect... His power is he basically mindwipes a single person for 1 or however many commands he needs from them... Then he moves onto a new target... His "Victims" are then running on auto pilot for a general period of time as their minds restart... Hence memory loss...
Once again... The team battle is 10 minutes total... And let's say his cool down time for his quirk is 10 minutes... I.E. Memory Loss time... He takes control of 2 different people at 2 different times for ANY length of time during that 10 minute slot... If he doesn't take control of the first person until halfway through the team battle... That is STILL at LEAST 15 minutes after the battle until BOTH victims are fully conscious again...
Hence it looks like he can take control of multiple people at the same time when he really can't... It's the time frame side effect that's throwing you off...
People return to normal the second Shinso drops control, so they wouldn't continue with the order as they no longer remember it.

I merely suggest a few specific things, not the entirety of the show
I think the call made for Eri was wrong morally but sound in a strategic sense. They either take her (possibly making things worse in some unexpected way when they know things are delicate) or leave her (possibly gambling away the life of a child to complete the case). Failure, one way or another, was the only option. They made the cold, logical choice, it turned out to be a mistake, and they probably would have died without that mistake.

there are couple of things i wanted to ask u about MHA so i hope u can help me with the answers :
1-shigaraki quirk: I've wondered for a long time why shigaraki cant erase air if his quirk works as they said it does then he should've erased the air once or twice when he was learning how to use his quirk or that wht i think should've happened

2-Mr. Compress: as we saw in the last season and how he used his quirk to cut parts of his flesh to escape the long pants dude and my question here is how tf does this man quirk even works? like can he choose wht to capture or not? if yes then why didn't he just captured his clothing ?and if he can't control it then why he didn't turn into a ball like the other things he touches ? and the same thing about the air why he don't just capture the air around him or around ppl wouldn't that be a powerful attack?
In both cases, air just might be too thin to interact with their quirks. Gasses have their molecules very far apart, so maybe you need a certain density for quirks to work.
As for Mr Compress, I think it is as you've said. Whatever he touches can be compressed and he can regulate the size of a compressed object. HOWEVER! There has to be a size limitation. I doubt he can use his quirk on an entire truck, and from what we've seen, his max seems to be around human sized objects
@@mahistv i get wht u mean for compress and his quirk but for the air thing is still ain't good of a reason to me honestly bcs they've never mentioned molecules in that regard and air is connected so if we took all that air and compressed it would they be able to interact with it then?or not....my guess is not...and the real answer would be"what the plot needs"
@@Qudi19 Air isn't one object. he doesn't decay air because he can never touch just one air particle with 5 fingers.

One thing many people do not understand and thrwoing harsh critique on is the concept of the show. The Idea we got represented in the first episode allready is that Heros are there to save people with a smile on their face and giving them a sense of security. Many people are critizising, that we see no real struggle and breakdowns on Deku and os the stakes throuout the anime dont feel high, that it feels safe all the time, even though there are harsh topics, crushing backstories and death. But actually i believe, that we only get this sense of security in the show, because of the premise, that heros shall make us feel safe, taht we see no breakdown on deku, because he shall make us feel safe.
I agree, we also have to understand that the MC is going to be safe, maybe until the very end (I think Deku will die). But same cannot be said for people inside the show.
I wonder if he has super tough skin, and dense bone and muscles in his arms. We haven't seen any glaring weaknesses in his abilities like most other emitter quirks. Could repeated damage from his own explosions be his trade off? Also, exactly how cumbustable is his 'sweat'? Like, could a static shock on a door knob set it off? If we take into consideration that he can fill grenades that can be used by anyone, his ignition source must be a separate mechanism. Which makes me think he could accidentally set it off. Also, does his hero suit have a cooling mechanism built in? Sweat is a human's way of not overheating, so regularly vaporizing sounds like a quick way to dehydrate.
I think he controls which sweat explored and which doesn't, cause the rest of his body is sweating and doesn't explode. As for muscle/bone density, there are exercised in some martial arts school that create micro fractures in bones, so they can heal and get tougher. This may as we be true for Ka-chan too.
Hitoshi Shinso may have left a series of long-term control command in each person.

MHA has one of the best overall storyline and plot in shonnen anime
Everything ties into each other perfectly and over a long period of time
The only thing holding mha back from being in top 10 of all time is
1) deku needed to ACTUALLY have a dark saga where he actually snaps and starts too hurt the villains (after lady Nagant fight that could push him over the edge) or even bakagou when he apologises
2) we need slightly longer fights but we will get that in season 7
And
3) horikoshi is too hesitant on killing anyone actually important off when it would benefit the story
Grand Torino being an example here I would also like it if he killed off a 1-A student during either the USJ or the training camp and then have some others drop out of the hero course because they are too scared to continue.
Just to mention Bakugo caused a lot of Deku's trama back before UA. Which caused and reinforced most of Deku's issues.
True, but he helped Deku a lot during UA and came full circle in S6, leading the charge to save his friend.
I did not know attendance is so important in highschol. It makes sense. In the Japanese workplace, being at work rather than work done.

It's still unclear. What he says in S5 implies that it's just 1, or they need to be controlled 1 by 1
For Shinzo it’s not strange they said they don’t remember “most” of the Calvary round meaning they remember some of it so Shinzo must have been controlling them in turns, they were probably just confused why they did certain actions
I may agree with that, expect we clearly see all of their eyes brainwashed simultaneously.

No... Wait this will actually make more sense... Shinso first takes control of 1 person and hands them a ball... He says "Take this ball to this corner at this time and hand it off to the person there..." and the person does it... BUT Shinso is NO LONGER in control... His control is ONLY adding the command line to the brain and then hitting "Run"...
Now... There is no one at the corner to get the ball the person is taking it to... So he takes control of ANOTHER person... "Go to this corner at this time and a person will give you a ball... Bring it back to me..." and then boom... He hits run...
Now... 2 people are doing what Shinso commands of them... BUT they are NOT under his control... He is NOT using his quirk... His quirk is ONLY adding the commands to his target's brains... He then hits "Run" and the targets are now RUNNING the code and he can do something else...
And THATS how this works... He can only do one person at one time... But he can TIME his commands to make his system "Run" with MULTIPLE people...
He's literally just a computer programmer but with people...

unrelated but at 0:12 these guys were learning calculus at 15? and this is advanced i dont even know how to take an integral of a logarithm or with a square root. like wtf they even got fractions with e^x subtracting itself with a negative exponent all raised to another exponent

I'm pretty sure this is not what I said. I was talking about him being so determined to go forward that there is nothing that holds him back. No Todoroki stuff, no Yaomomo confidence issues, no Deku's "need to grow into this quir" and so on.

Their education system is just like advanced level classes in the US, missing a day is like missing a week, and the students are competitive, only some teachers are actually as helpful as UA teachers
That teacher thing, I never understood why they are NOT helpful. If a student is asking for actual help, not some bullshit excuse or anything like that, they should give them a hand.

true the school doesn't like bakugo. the majority of his own class didn't even want to save him. almost like he's a horrible person and treats everyone around him like garbage.
What makes bakugou disappointing is he fought more of his fellow heroes while deku fought more villains.
I'm willing to ignore bakugou jerkass behavior if he fought a lot of villains but alas it never happens.

Bakugou is the best Hero and student in the UA he give his best and accomplish what he wants, he grows with every obstacle in his way, he became a leader, he learned more about how to use his quirk than any other in his class, he arrived in UA as just one more student and he got better than any of the Star students.

@@mahistv Do you remember the crap he did to Midoriya for about 10 years before they joined UA? He beat him down, insulted him, destroyed his stuff, basically tried to get the kid to OFF himself because he DARED to have the same dream as he did.
After joining UA he was not nearly AS bad, but the dude (at least through season 2, not interested in dark anime so I dropped it after that) was an anti hero at best.
