    I test drove a supercharged 5.0 Range Rover today. It was a 2013 model with 93k miles. It was immaculate. Fast as hell! And the service history was spectacular. They had every paper from dealership servicing. Only non maintenance item was replacing an interior light that went out. Range rovers seem to be extremely reliable for owners or a nightmare. There really isnt an in between. People either love or hate their ownership of them! I hope to own one sometime in the near future!

    I have a 2016 range rover hse with the added comfort package, and I will say it's my favourite car on the market. By far the king of the road.

      +Chris Sorreda its how they feel better about themselves. They diss people with money for not being better than the poor man THINKS they should be with money...

    • @Lincolnator721
      @Lincolnator721 8 років тому

      +Chris Sorreda honestly I don't mind that I drive a car that values at $2k, but some day i will own something this nice when i'm financially set. most likely a newer lincoln would be my choice as it's slightly cheaper than cadillac and probably more reliable. or newer volvo for safety's sake

    • @Ndasuunye
      @Ndasuunye 8 років тому

      ***** There ya go. Lincoln all dayz sonz. It's cheaper than a Cadillac and still more reliable. Actually everything is more reliable than a Cadillac so that's an unfair comparison lol

    • @Lincolnator721
      @Lincolnator721 8 років тому +1

      Ndasuunye I mean I don't know much about Cadillac's reliability, but for generations my family has had a grudge against anything GM and they were all farmers so I'm taking their word for it. The nice Ford Super-Duty trucks with 4x4 they've driven on the farms, they must have a reason for their grudge. Personally, I know that working on a GM product is alike to working a Japanese car; as a result your cost of repairs are going to be much higher on a GM compared to a Ford. My personal preference says that I like the looks of an Escalade, but the rear-end throws it off. Looks way too much like a hearse, and I don't want to be reminded of a hearse everyday I get up. I would be thinking that I'm a funeral parlor! Also, for a mostly "Mexican-made" Cadillac SRX - it's too overpriced for $55k. Cadillac is actually having issues with selling their cars because they're... again; overpriced. but apparently they can't keep Escalades in stock, so those are doing very well... I don't see how but ok. They cost 13% of a million dollars (after taxes).

    regarding the cargo space cover, you have to push it back, not lift it up. You can see there are 2 small "triangles" on the side walls, thats where the cover will slide.

      even when they weren't reliable (post 06). full on break downs weren't really an issue. more like air suspension, check lights, hence when the second owners say eff it, and you'll still see them on the road with 120k+

    Most people don’t know that at one point Ford Corporation owned Jaguar Land Rover PLC, Aston Martin, and a couple other brands. They ended up having to sell them off due to budget issues around 2008, but kept most of the design right. Which explains why they have some similarities.

    Only people I see complaining about reliability can’t afford one of these premium vehicles.... and if they can it’s used with 80k or more miles. My family has multiple cars and a Range Rover sport it one of them. We went with a sport model bcuz it offered a v6 supercharged engine which had the better gas mileage so we don’t have visit the gas station weekly. We’ve had no issues besides basic maintenance. Forgot to mention ours is a 2017 Range Rover sport HSE

    Idk if I'd rather have a G-class or a Range Rover. I like the roughness of the G-class, but idk if I'd like a luxury vehicle better.

    • @esteban75lover23
      @esteban75lover23 8 років тому +3

      RangeRover will be better for the long run. The G-Class is AMAZING! But, sadly for me the interior is dated. The G-Class has leather everywhere, beautiful seats, and is an intimate status symbol. But, the RangeRover is ALSO amazing. The RangeRover has much more space on the interior, and service at the Land Rover dealerships are amazing. JLR is at the top of the top for customer service, and at my dealership, we get an RangeRover Evoque or Jaguar XF each time. We also have a Mercedes S-Class, and our customer service is trash compared to JLR's dealerships. It is really a tough decision. Keep in mind, you can save some money when buying the RangeRover new, and in the used market the RangeRover and the G-Class are about the same price. Now, the newer RangeRover's are more reliable than the G-Class. One think I noticed, the G-Class drives terrible some times and its handling is appealing. We have had a G-Class before and we are looking at RangeRovers and they are better. I hope I helped!

    I lol'd on the press footage at the beginning. No Range Rover owner is going to take their car out on the dunes.

      That's the older joke in the game, every car has its problems and recalls.

      +Jonathan Washington Every car has problems, but Range Rover especially. They are some of the most unreliable vehicles on the planet, they will always leave you stranded and force you to end up paying more than the original sticker price for the repairs alone.

    One of my biggest gripes is when someone pronounces espresso as "expresso" coffee. When you do it describing the colour of a car interior it's even worse!

    Don't like the knob style gear shift. Really fustrating especially if you are in a hurry. What with wet hands or loose grip. With an actual stick even with a loose grip you can still move the stick back and forth. The knob you can just slip and not move it at all. Especially if you don't look you may drive the wrong way with that.

    I love that no one brings up the fact that at .47 min the front bumper is squished and bends into the sand LOL. Why such an aggressive approach to showing off this SUV? Half the time Range Rover's are driven around grocery stores by middle aged women. Never truly seeing the off-road terrain that they're marketed for...

    2016 Land Rover Range Rover HSE says: It is not often I am impressed with drivers who get in my seat and know how to handle me. Trying his luck out this week is Sofyan, who has the distinctive honour of driving me. Let's see how bad he does.
