Yeah, in the original I like him but he was a bit of a nothing character, a couple appearances and then he's written off, the remake was very kind to him !
I do agree to i like u see him lot more in this one scenes are funny to but i didnt think he would die like that but saw it coming
Plus the fact you spend time with him and can see the bonding between the 2 of them give that particular scene even more of impact too

It's justice for his character, justice we were supposed to partially get years ago with the railshooter "Umbrella Chronicles" had they not scrapped the campaign of Luis' perspective of RE4

19:38 So it looks like you jumped onto the regular gigante right as the armored gigante grabbed you. So even though you were fine and could move the game still thought the armored one was holding onto you so a few seconds later the armored one kills you despite you being nowhere close to him.

Leon & Krauser's final mission together is explored in more detail in Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, which includes the events of Operation Javier.
This part of Leon and Luis was very exciting, better than the original, and Luis says goodbye like a true hero.
Luis didn't deserve this, he was trying to become a better person, you can see that he regretted working at Umbrella lot, at least he redeemed himself and saved Leon 🥺

I'm not sure if you know this by now or not, but if you press Square in the screen where you inlay gemstones in treasure, you will see a Gemstones Bonuses chart. This shows you how to best arrange gemstones to get the maximum amount of money from the treasure.
The most tragic of all is the fact that Luis was used for umbrella and los iluminados. He didnt knew that he was working on the development of bio weapons until it was to late

The double GigaNte fight: what killed you was that you didn’t help Luis and he died. 😂
The bug was pretty funnny, you dodged that giant just barely but the game registered that you were caught by it. and so because you didn't escape it (you werent actually in his grasp), it thought you died. Also pretty great jumpscare when he popped his head through the vent. xD
I think that glitch happened because the Giant grabbed you right as you knifed the unarmoured one so he was killing you but it didn't look like it lol.
DOnt listen to people. Every weapon is viable for the entire game. Some are a little weaker than others yes... but every weapon is still good. The blacktail has one of the higher power rates of all of the pistols. The red 9 has the best. and Leons first pistol is lower but has good critical shots . So they all equal out somehow. Play with whatever you choose! Some people just geek out over the red 9 like its the end all be all. It is good. But every weapon is still fun to use.
All but the hand cannon, that gun is ass and I won't hear otherwise, point blanked a woman and it still missed 0_0
Sell those 3 keys that pop up when selling stuff, you don't need them anymore. Don't get assault rifle, burns through rifle ammo, you don't need it. Don't get Red 9, the Blacktail is good enough handgun for the rest of the game. That death with the 2 giants was a game bug, I was confused as well, looks/sounds like he was eating Luis, but you walked past Luis when getting to lever.
44:50 different weapons have different upgrades and it depends on what kinda upgrade you want. for example, blacktail's exclusive gives it a ×1.5 extra fire power, making it to go up to 3.6 ( which is the 2nd strongest pistol after red9 with the 4.5 FP after maxing out ) on other example combat knife instead of power will get a ×1.5 attack speed increase which is really cool. some exclusives don't even add anything extra on what you already have, and instead, it adds a special ability to your weapon, for example your pistol from beginning of the game ( SG_09 R ) after getting the exclusive the chance of getting critical headshots will increase by 5 time which makes it my personal favorite handgun in the game. or you can just wait until merchant add even more weapons into his shop then decide what to do. the point is just like i said at the beginning, it depends on what you want from your weapons. i know this was a quiet long comment, but i hope it helps
Your accuracy with the Red9 in the minecart was fantastic. I missed so many damn shots on those carts
The upgrade ticket is great. You get the exclusive without having to fully upgrade the weapon or pay the exclusive cost. It is perfect for the pistol, knife, or shotgun.
If u remember during the intro cinematic flashback; there’s a man w a red beret, that’s major Krauser. Leon trained under him after REmake2 but before the events of RE4R
Resident Evil has a smart drop system. If you carry too many different types of guns, the number of drops will be spread out, so it's important to only carry three or four guns that you use frequently (magnums are recommended for boss stages). Instead of using guns, you can parry enemy attacks or use the bolt thrower to retrieve bolts. The bolts are hard to use, but they do stagger enemies on a hit, making them a great way to use physical attacks. You don't have a bolt thrower, so I'd recommend taking up the challenge in a later playthrough. I see you are holding a mine, and mines use bolt throwers. If you're not going to use the bolt thrower, it's in your interest to sell it. Upgrade tickets are very useful. They double the damage of blacktails and shotguns when used. It's a good idea to use tickets on your favorite guns. By the way, if you see keys appear in a merchant's for sale list, it means there's no use for them anymore.

The EX Ticket is well worth buying. Normally you have to fully upgrade a weapon and then spend another 100k to get that weapons EX Upgrade. The Blacktail’s EX Upgrade gives the handgun 1.5x power (so a 50% power boost). The Riot Gun EX Upgrade is either 1.5x or 2x power. The Stingray is just double the fire rate which I don’t think is worth it and I believe the Broken Butterfly is also a 1.5x power upgrade.
So for sure, 30 Spinels for the ability to unlock an EX upgrade without having to spend all that money to not only max out every category of a weapon, but also an additional 100k to unlock the EX Upgrade itself, is very much worth it.
Also, any key that shows up on the merchants sell list means it has no use anymore. You won’t run into anything that needs it, so you may as well sell them. When inlaying gems, hit the square button to open a guide that shows you how to get the highest multipliers. Finally, the Blacktail is great. I ditched the Sentinel 9 for it and haven’t regretted it. I miss the laser sight a little, but you get used to it. On my second playthrough I’ll use the Red 9 and it’s brace.

Leon and Krauser have a history together.
You see, Operation Javier is a military operation that took place in 2002, and it was a joint effort between the United States and the South American country of Javier. The goal of the operation was to investigate and stop the activities of a drug cartel that was suspected of having connections to a bioterrorist organization.
The leader of this cartel and the main antagonist of this game is Javier Hidalgo.
During the course of the operation, two operatives were sent to infiltrate the drug cartel and gather information. One of these operatives was Leon S. Kennedy, who was a government agent and a veteran of the Raccoon City incident. The other operative was Jack Krauser, who was a former member of the US Army Special Forces.
Leon and Krauser got along pretty well at the start. Krauser respected Leon for his skills and thought highly of himself as well. He believes that he can't function is normal society and that his service to the US and the thrill of fighting is his life's true meaning.
However, after learning that Leon is under the direct orders of the president himself, Krauser also felt that Leon was given preferential treatment and that he was overshadowed by Leon's accomplishments. Krauser believed that he was just as skilled as Leon, if not more so, and felt that he was not given the recognition he deserved.
It becomes clear that Krauser is struggling with his own identity and place in the world. He is haunted the thought of him being brushed aside by the U.S Government, but because of his desires of completing the mission, he agrees to help Leon further and they continue on exploring the rainforest, wiping out every one of Javier Hidalgo's Bioweapons in sight, while also rescuing his daughter Manuela.
Over the course of the game, Krauser experiences a gradual mental breakdown as he becomes increasingly obsessed with proving himself to be the superior agent and earning the recognition he feels he deserves. His jealousy grows stronger and stronger, to the point where he even finds himself agreeing to the ideology of Javier Hidalgo. "Becoming stronger to survive"
"Just as nature intends. The predators who prey on others, only grow stronger to survive", those were his words.
Suddenly, during a tough fight against another B.O.W (Bio Organic Weapon), which reveals itself to be none other but Manuela's mother, Krauser sustains a serious injury to his left arm...
In the final battle against a now transformed version of Javier Hidalgo, Krauser becomes more and more convinced that the power of the Virus that is creating all the B.O.W's is beneficial and that destroying it, could be a mistake. He became fully convinced that he needs to become stronger and deems Leon as a coward for destroying said Virus. (The Veronica Virus)
After all of this, Leon became the official spacial Agent of the U.S president.
However Krauser's arm never fully healed, so he was taken out of active commision from the U.S military. Which is most obviously the worst thing that could ever happen to him.
The Remake seems to have changed this story up though! You'll be finding some more stuff out later on in the game!
(For example, Krauser is now described as Leon's former Mentor and it is even said that Leon wasn't apart of Operation Javier at all)
This was a pretty brief rundown of what happened though, I recommend checking out the channel "Red Herb", he made an entire video called "The Tragic Story of Jack Krauser: How Jealousy Led to His Downfall Resident Evil 4 Remake."
I think It's safe to say that Luis grew on all of us. For someone who didn't play the original, I also didn't trust nor like him for a long time.

Luis was such a awesome character but cant help but blame him for a lot thats happened. He was responsible for the creation of Nemesis in RE3, he was part of the team that made him.

Yea you forgot to go back through the library where Ashley had her adventure. There was a lot of good loot in thar section. You can still go through there and I recommend you do so.
The exclusive ticket for 30 is worth it, but recommend using it on the knife or the og gun
20:00 I believe Luis had gotten eaten because you went straight for the hatch, instead of helping him. Also when you go to your inventory, at the bottom you will see a (auto-sort) button. If you didn’t know.

The Exlusive ticket is extremly good, yes. Especially for the Shotgun or rifle.
i feel like it’s more prevalent here than in the original where you “needed” to know of darkside chronicles to know krauser. with expanded characters and story, a lot of new fans of RE now would be more confused about krauser than first timers back in 2005. it’s actually really interesting to see the confusion as someone who knows these characters already

Bug was really funny :D i was watching a lot of RE4R content like speedruns wtf moments etc, but never seen this before :)
Also about ticket for spinels - it's way to go, check what your weapons exclusive upgrades does and pick one of them. You upgrade whatever you want, there is no bad weapons in this game (except bowgun, just kidding :D ).
It had to be some kind of bug when you inexplicably died against the two Gigantes. I experienced a bug and got permanently stuck against a wall, unable to free myself. All I could do was exit out of the game and load a previous save.

If you get the upgrade ticket, use it on the hand cannon. You can unlock that gun in mercenaries mode by getting an s rank on the 3 maps. The hand cannon gives you infinite ammo as an exclusive upgrade

BTW Blacktail is AMAZING in this game. I ran it all first playthrough and had a blast with it's fire-rate. People are just use to it's poor performance in OG but it is an amazing sidearm choice in THIS game. So you do you! 😉

I always hesitate offering advice because you could be done with the game by now, or it wouldn't be of much use in the upcoming chapters, lol.
If you are using the standard controls (A-1 setting), you can do a quick turn by pressing R1 + down on the left analog.
Also, for another cool animation, you can shoot the enemies in the legs and suplex them if you're behind them!

Krauser is one of my favorite characters in all of resident evil and the original qte knife fight was so bad ass but this was pretty great too. The only thing I wasn’t digging is Leon’s knife change and Krauser’s new voice actor. The original sounded more menacing and like he’d been through a great ordeal. Still Krauser is a badass character.

Blacktail all the way, same gun I used. And yes, spend spinel on the upgrade ticket. Use it on handgun, knife, or riot gun (a weapon u use a lot). I did handgun (+50% damage for Blacktail), but up to u.
Also, dat accuracy in the mine cart section…. Pro af for having an injured arm. 👍❤️👍❤️

Its amazing how they gave Luis much more presence and action in this Remake, in the OG RE4 he just gets killed earlier in the castle section without that much of screen time..Its just amazing how they changed the order of different scripted parts of the game maintaining the proper order of the Main maps and journey, they did a good job cutting off some weird Illogic sections from the original to put some new little sections that worked better, tho in the OG you have to fight both giants ALONE, so there is that LOL. Capcom really Nailed it with all of this New Remakes (except RE3, which is an absolute waste of a remake)

Hate on the blacktail?? Man that pistol is way better than the Red9 in this game. More DPS(Not damage)/smaller/higher capacity Deals 3.60 damage with the exclusive

Blacktail is 100% the best pistol. Don't worry about red9. Red9 is only better in terms of power.
This is your first playthrough so don’t worry if you’re not using the right gun and such
Just completed this part and honestly- this is the best part of the game yet with Luis- it shows more time here than in the original and it was quite surprising that Krauser killed him here- in the original Saddler killed him. But this game is highly annoying

Yeah you missed on getting the assault rifle for free. It was back in the Ashley section when you could of gone back as Leon
If you play all the main games in order, nobody knows who krauser is lol. Introduced in RE4 as if leon already knew him. It's kinda out of place and weird in my opinion but it's nostalgia for many now so it's stuck this way :P
They show him training Leon with a knife in the opening cinematic in the Remake.
After finishing the Remake I hope you play the original Re4 I'm sure you will enjoy it too, and you will also be able to see the differences to the Remake
Hi Sky ! i really like this vid , Luis and Leon were my favorite characters in childhood , i think you should play the spider man ps4 or ps5 games . There are 2 games so far but the new one will come out this year , the story is really good and i think you should check it out .
