We couldn't find any good brake stop tests comparing the Powerbrakes X-Line to the stock brakes on a 3rd Gen Toyota Tacoma so we filmed it ourselves! We did a test on the stock brakes from 60 to 0 and measured it then we installed the Powerbrakes and repeated the process. In fact, we torture tested our Powerbrakes by repeatedly test them over and over again.

What about a D line comparison?

Possibly. We've got the X-Line kit installed on two of our trucks already. If we do another install, we'll aim for the D-Line kit.

How much does your rig weigh? What powerbrake kit did you install and what were the components?

We're at 6300 lbs with a fully built truck and camper. We installed the Powerbrake X-Line kit. It comes with calipers, rotors and the brake pads.

I am the only one that was expecting way better results from this test? I’m sure hot braking performance is much better with powerbrake, but you would think they would gain more than 1 truck length…. 🤔

15' is big savings and keep in mind the hotter these brakes get, the more responsive they become. Consider descending down a mountain for 3-4 miles and then having to slam on your brakes at the end, that's when things really matter.
