Simple Minds have been musical pioneers for 40 glittering years. Catching the mood of the post-punk era, when the angry sounds of 1977 were splintering into a thousand different shapes, they emerged with a style rooted in the art-rock of David Bowie and the electronic dance of Donna Summer. They went on to become one of the great bands of their generation, deploying rousing choruses and booming atmospherics to provide a soundtrack that has endured. The Call toured with them during the Once Upon A Time tour. I saw them in Mesa, AZ. The Call opened for them during their tour to promote the Reconciled Album ("I Still Believe") Michael Been came out to sing on the same number he did backing vocals for from Once Upon A Time. It was a great double bill.
Really wish this performance would be brought out on DVD. I keep playing it and never get bored.

Jim's Voice is still Great! He's still Moving around the Stage Great! Charlie is one of the Greatest Guitarists in the World Ever! Mel Gaynor hasn't gotten the Credit he deserves, because he's one of the Greatest Drummers in the World Ever, in my opinion. Simple Minds is one of the Greatest Bands of All Time in my Opinion.
