You can actually add more ram so it gets 32 gigs but you need to learn how to solder or take it to a laptop shop with 8 more gigs where they can soldier it themselves and add onto it.
There are a lot of lags on my normal Z1 extreme device... No matter what ram and what settings, there are always lags... The settings are the same... Do you have this problem too... There is always lag in certain places...
It's too early for me to say, I'd recommend checking out some of the reviews that compare between the both. The Ally X has great battery life for the power it puts out at 17W! ❤
Just a bit better - 4-5fps more in native res means like 10-12fps in FSR modes. Also 1% lows are way higher and there are less spikes. In some games like Cyberpunk2077 there can be even 20% performance uplift, in Avatar even 60% - from 25-30fps to 40+fps.

Ayyyy check out the new kid in the block with the Rog ally X :D
Runs much smoother than on the OG ally
Yeah would say the more and faster vram gives it a much bigger advantage.
True but I just played on the Z1 and everything maxed out gotnme steady 30fps . For a game like this I was more then happy haha
Why texture quality on low? Isn’t part of the point of the X is that it has 8GB of vram?
Hey! Thanks for your comment! Stay tuned, I'll have another video out over the next few days and try out higher texture quality ❤😊
@@DeckWizard Thank you!
Ya I knew more and faster ram would give it the extra push it needed. It was just barely playable on the regular ally but now it’s more than capable.
How barely ? It's steady 30fps with all settings maxed out .
@@horineesgaming7354I mean smooth 60fps I can’t stand 30fps I find it unplayable at that framerate.

what's your pick between the X and SD Oled in terms of battery life?
The X has better battery life due to the bigger battery mostly.
It's too early for me to say, I'd recommend checking out some of the reviews that compare between the both.
The Ally X has great battery life for the power it puts out at 17W! ❤
Ally got way more battery life - like 1.5h more in Cyberpunk2077 or3hrs more in Hades2.
Rog Ally X technically.. because thats a huge chonky 80wh battery inside it haha
Runs about the same as the regular z1 extreme ally so no surprises here, it's a great machine

Can you use gyro scope on rog ally ?
Yes. It's not are good as the Steam deck's gyro though. Fair warning.
Hey ! Thank you for the test ! :)
Can you try Alan Wake 2 and Baldur's gate III pls ?! :D
Done! ❤
@@DeckWizard THANK YOU ! :)
