It was so lovely listening to you talking about your day with your Mum. I'm 68 yrs & my Mum's no longer here, but in the past I had some wonderful days out with my Mum to various shows & listening to your enthusiam with you Mum bought back so many lovely memories for me. Your content was lovely too.
This was so touching to read, I'm glad this brought back some wonderful memories for you. I absolutely cherish the time I have with my Mum, she's my best friend 🥰❤️
Looks like you have lots of things to sew. About the bra plan on sewing it soon as it is so rewarding. The best part is once you start they sew up really fast as in a day. Look for a good pattern on line as there are so many really good patterns. Some can be expensive but once you get it all measured it will be the same size for all the bars you need. It is also fun if you can take a class as they are fun and rewarding. I live in Canada and sewing is the same over the world. Have lots of fun sewing.
I love the stitch festival too, I went on the Saturday and it was crazy busy! I definitely need two days next year. I was on the catwalk too which I really enjoyed. You bought some lovely things. I love Roy’s fabrics, I’m lucky enough to live in Leicester so can go whenever 😊 xx
I went on Thursday and clocked 9km of walking (according to my phone pedometer!) around the Design Centre. Had the best time. I nearly bought the lovely fabric you have picked up from Rainbow fabrics but I’m a redhead so not sure that it would work for me (such a beautiful print!). Spend my entire ‘craft fund’ at the show!!! Thanks for the round up video - really enjoyed it. Anna
I was thinking about going but my husband shared the flu with me and was so glad that I hadn’t booked expensive flights and accommodation! I enjoyed your walk through and my only plus is I haven’t spent any money and still felt the love and fun through your vlog ❤
Gina that was the best video. Your filming was professional. I loved it - I live in Scotland so I couldn’t make it. Thank you and your mum. I feel I was there xxxx
I love the sound of the white sequin fabric. What about an 1920es inspired Flapper dress in it? Thank you for this georgious walk. I’m planing to come to London in Octobre and looking so much forward to it!
I went to the stitch festival and it was fab..I always get great fabrics and love to see what's in and up and coming. Great haul. Thanks for sharing. :)
Of the numerous blogs about the Stitch Festival, this is by far the best; it really felt like a guided tour. If you haven't already chosen your bra pattern, may I suggest the Harriet bra? From the start mine have always turned out brilliantly. And, Liz Sews offers a wonderful sew along, which shows how to hide the seams when lining it.
Great vlog as always love your fabrics so pleased you did a vlog about the stitch festival was very interested to see the cable l it’s on Higgs and Higgs stall I love your blue jumper you made. The white sequin fabric is great ❤❤
Hi Gina. I’ve just come across your channel as I recognised your face. Me and my sister were there on Friday too and were at Roy’s stall at the same time. I also bought some of that beautiful embroidered floral fabric. So hard to choose. Your mum suggested I buy a slip from M and S to wear underneath. It’s a fabulous show and me and my sister go every year too. Thanks for sharing your beautiful haul. Sarah 😊
I went for the first time this year, booked my flights and went for Thursday and Friday. I was a little disappointed, but probably didn’t go with the right expectations. It was pitched as a multi stitch craft event, and that is somewhat true, but as a yarn crafter there wasn’t much to keep me. I did pick up a cross stitch kit as a present and some beautiful buttons from Ethel and Joan for my current cardigan project. I will have to take up sewing before I go back. Thankfully there was a lovely yarn store nearby, Loop on Camden passage.
Ah sorry to hear that, it's definitely more sewing focused at this show! The knitting and stitching show is a lot more mixed, they had a huge variety of stalls when I went a couple of years ago so that could be worth a try 🥰
Yes agree that the Knitting and Stitching festival at Alexandra Palace, might be better..bigger, more variety and some wonderful textile art. Get theirs early and take your own lunch
Thanks for showing us the various suppliers Ann fabrics you liked….yes gets very busy, especially the Stitch Fabrics stall…always popular, I’m fortunate they do a fabric sale in a church hall near me every three months!
I love that you went with your mum, so sweet! Some gorgeous fabrics too, I was drooling!!!! I loved your tour of the show. Next year I will be back in the UK and I am definitely going to the Stitch Festival.
Great buys! I was also there Friday (& Saturday) and took some classes. Actually learned to crochet in a 2 hour class, which surprised me as I’d never even tried it before (good class). I bought 3 metres of a 98%wool/2%elastane thin wool fabric in a small check (cornflower blue)❤. And I bought a Juki overlocker 😜. I’d been looking and found the perfect one there to try out, etc., and they had a show discount. Great time! But I missed the bra making kits! Those look amazing!
How fun! I would love to do some classes one year. We need to be much more organised in booking onto stuff next year. How amazing to learn how to crochet that fast, I always think it's mega intimidating and it puts me off. Definitely on my to try list now! What a treat to get an overlocker, not to be dramatic but it'll change your life 😆❤️
I've never been to UK but would make the trip just for this festival. I loved the open weave totes you showed. I wonder if they could be ordered to the States. Our local Joann Fabric is closing stores & the younger generation doesn't seem to embrace fabric & sewing. Thanks for a lovely glimpse into your sewing adventure & a sincere video for viewers to share your experience.
Gina have you ever shopped in Asia for fabrics? You would be in heaven. I’ve bought lots in India and when I lived in Hong Kong I would pop over the border to China and go mad in an entire huge floor of fabrics in every perceivable material. All at a fraction of the price in UK. I also shop in west london’s Indian fabric shops. although cut in pieces for an Indian 3 piece dress (shalwar kameez) it’s possible to play around with them.
Oh how i miss ordering my Fabrics from the UK, especially Indian blockprint fabrics. It’s Nearly impossible to get them here and also for a reasonable Price. But since brexit i had to pay taxes on Top and it didnt Made any sense anymore.
Thank you for a lovely, fun video. Please can you give me the name of the store you mentioned at 7.34 minutes? I couldn’t quite catch it. Thank you 🙏 😊
Wow! That looks so awesome! We just don’t have things like that in the US. There are so few fabric stores, and the ones that we do have are pretty much only for quilting cottons. And a show like this one … just doesn’t happen here. Oh how I wish I could hop on a plane, go shopping and bring it all back with me.
Oh no that's such a shame! I have heard Saturday is always crazy busy which is why we tend to do Friday. What time did you go? It's always so rammed earlier on x
Awww thank you for filming some of my stand! ❤❤❤

I was researching about the world wide exhibition of crafting and sewing, this could be my bucket list for sure😊thank you for posting!

I'm in Australia so to me, this looks like Heaven! I'm happy to see you both had a wonderful day.
They need to take it international! Thank you so much for watching 🥰
Sensory overload but I’d be in heaven ❣️
Holy cow. I would love to have gone there. So many beautiful fabrics.
I just added Stitch Festival to my bucket list!! How fun!!!!
Thanks for taking us along! I love the strawberry print ❤
Great video focusing on the show itself, the stalls and what’s on offer. I’ll definitely be coming to London for the next one X
Wonderful!🪷
OMG!, such choices. Fabrics are my heaven as well! Thanks for sharing.
Loved your flog. I’m in Australia and it was good to see the fabrics at the show. It’s the best vlog of the show I have seen. Thank you.

I'm so jelly! all of those clothing fabrics.
It was absolute heaven!!
Got to say this is the best vlog by far showing the festival. A great insight to what is there 😊
You did a fantastic job with this vlog! Sadly, we lack these beautiful options in the US. Made my day just to see them. 😊
I love that pink and red Rainbow Fabrics one. And the bra kits look amazing ❤️

What a show!,, wish we had something like that in USA
Great coverage of the show
Thank you for watching 🥰
Thanks so much for posting, I am in the USA and never heard of this. It seems like a wonderful place to go sometime.
Thank you, great video showing various stall & the lots offabrics. Love the items you picked up & will go & look at the bra making kits.😊
You filmed and presented the stitch festival so well. I could actually feel just as overwhelmed as I would be in person! 😂
