I'm a 5 (with both 4 & 6 wing characteristics, depending on the day!) -- and I was answering the questions before Michele could, pretty much word-for-word with what she said! I've got a bunch of custom goal-setting planner/tracker inserts I created for my 2023 planner. I know I'll have fun filling them out. But, as Michele said, when it comes to actually following through on the goals, that's the biggest challenge! So I've created inserts or areas on my spreads to make sure I'm breaking those ginormous annual goals down into weekly bite-sized pieces with due dates. And I think that I can overcome the problem of getting bored and dropping the goals, as @laura79 mentioned, by making sure I have enough varying tasks planned each week for each different goal that I can move from one to another pretty seamlessly before I get too bored. Fingers crossed it works this year!
I am a type 5w4 and i put a lot of energy in researching and planning out my goals and i love this process. It almost feels like i am already working on these goals by planning them out - but that exactly is my problem - when it comes to taking action on these goals i get quickly bored and want to change to new goals (with all the exciting new planning process). I rather feel like a creator than an executor which is frustrating because i therefore rarely reach my goals (especially the ones where i want to change my lifestyle habits (exercise, diet, organizing etc). I feel like i love the excitement of researching and finding the best way to do something but i fall short in doing the mundane and repetitive actions it requires to reach these goals. It would be great if anyone could give me some advice.
Same! What tends to help is breaking things down to very tiny, easy daily or weekly steps so I don't get overwhelmed and procrastinate, and I also get the satisfaction of checking something off. It's also easier to pivot if I figure out that my goal isn't quite the right one.

This is me too. It’s frustrating.

Very relatable, just realizing this I feel it may help.
I am a type 5! :)
