Belgium now get france, I will have no Belgium for the rd of 16
People without a WC are stuffed after the QF round when 2 of those 4 mega teams get wiped off the map. Was going to WC in the QFs but now I'll be WCing in the semis to repair after 2 of France/Germany/Portugal/Spain go home.
Not really, you just limit yourself to 2, max 3 players per nation and by the odds you'll be fully recovered with the transfers
@@ethanhardcastle2265yeah that’s a massive disadvantage though because if one of the other ones like England, Belgium etc get upset then you are indeed stuffed
@@ethanhardcastle2265 You may be underestimating both the guarantee that big teams are knocked out by the QFs + the inevitable early upset or 2 for teams like Belgium, England, or Italy. There are definitely teams you can build in the ro16 that will be great, but I think it'll be rocky waters ahead for those without a WC.

At this stage , this is where you need a lot of luck and a good element of planning , tbh . For me Ed , though I have not taken time to pick individuals , I think I am leaning towards picking 2 Spain , 2 Germans , 2 Portuguese , 1 French - Going 3 Italy , 1 Dutch , 1 English , 2 Austrians and 1 Belgian but depending on tonight’s games , this could easily change . Investing more on the so called easier side of the draw . Best of luck Ed 👍

I've still got my WC left so only bothered about picking a team for the round of 16 games so 4 from Spain, 3 from England, 3 from Portugal and the rest of the team coming from Germany and the Netherlands. Can't believe you've used both chips in the group stages when you'd initially been saying you might go QF and SF with them. My draft so far is
GK Simon, Costa
DEF Mittelstadt, Guehi, Cancelo, Ake, Carvajal
MID Ruiz, Bellingham, Silva, Musiala, Gundogan
FWD Kane, Morata, Gakpo
Most likely changes would be Fernandes for Silva and Havertz for Kakpo but I'm pretty settled on the rest.
I would have went for Pickford over Costa but England and Spain play the same day so had to leave him out.
