Forget both of those! They were permanent by 93 for me and in 97 I developed HYPERACUSIS and it was game over. My guitarist and bassist and other band members went on to tour the world 30x over and tour with Kevin Shields and others, produce and record Flaming Lips and become contemporaries with all the people we grew up loving in the early 90’s. I didn’t even know EXTREME sound sensitivity was possible. Like you could be playing drums 30 to 40 hours a week for almost a decade and then one day you could barely tolerate people talking and over 25 years later I’m still trying to pick up the pieces and wanting to play live music. Sound quality live over BS SUPER loud volume. MBV are amazing but the last 5 minutes of total noise at over 126 to 140DB at their concerts IS GAY and irresponsible. I am positive their are people that have left a MBV concert and have never been able to go back to live music again even if its only 1 to 5%.
Best cover of this song I've ever seen! I was going to write a comment asking what effects you were using, but you did a great job covering all of that in the description. I will try to recreate this with my GTX50. What model of jaguar/jazzmaster is that?
Hey buddy can you tell me what your general amp EQ settings look like, and which pickup you’re using? I have the same guitar as you and I’m having trouble getting that jangle to sound right
Thanks for watching! This was from awhile ago, but I'm pretty sure I used the middle pickup. I used the "80s British" setting on my GTX100, which is a Marshall JCM800 sim. I don't remember the exact EQ settings unfortunately, sorry. I think most of the tone is the middle pickup and Marshall sim.
0/10 not enough permanent ear damage + tinnitus. jk lol dude you totally nailed the tone🔥
Haha thanks for watching!
