I would love to see how they do this with modern jet fighter canopies. They are multi laminated yet must be optocally perfect while being opeque to radio and radar waves. They are also deceptively thick and heavy though they don't look it. An F-16 canopy fully assembled is quite heavy.
last time I was watching something like this, it was a making of of a Messerschmitt cabin scooter 'glass top'. Some ppl call it a sky stop, how ever they call it, its a cool thing to watch. Nearly every geometry is possible.
I wonder how they avoid creating air bubbles inside the polycarbonate since it's hydroscopic unlike acrylic plastic which is not hydroscopic? Apparently it's very difficult to remove water molecules from inside polycarbonate unless you have a commercial plastics dryer heater.
Hey, did you ever find someone to make a canopy for ya? I need one basically replicated for a race boat, original was off of an unknown aircraft and I'm having a hell of a time trying to figure out how to get some dimensions or anything useful from any aircraft places. Everyone needs a part number which I can't begin to come up with

Now a days they wear goggles, when they look around they can see everywhere, as if the plane isn't even there.
Literally looked out my window and see this exact product on the roof next door!
TOO COOL!
