I'm still looking for a video that explains how these work at the MOST BASIC level. How do they fit together? A tour of all the features and types etc. How else are people who've never used them before supposed to know. With all shops closed, we can't just walk in and look at them. The pictures on Amazon and ebay don't show any proper detail.
Is the front handle removable? Being able to stack several and lock them together is huge if you want to roll all your tools around on your CT or even a hand truck. If they can’t lock together what is the point of the T-lock in the first place? Use a simple latch system...
Sorry but the Milwaukee packout system is much better in both quality/durability and function in the field. Also they are more customizable from a diy mod standpoint and there are independent companies with modification products specific to the packout system.
Pros and cons to both systems imo. I’ve got a bit of both packout and systainer. When I’m framing I bring the packout when I’m finishing I bring the systainers. Milwaukee organizers are way better, we’ll see if these new Festool ones are any good
Packout is way too heavy and bulky , honestly 2totally different applications, pack out is for a job site and to throw in the back of the truck, My systainers dont leave the shop. 🤷♂️
Thanks for the great overview of the 3rd gen system. As someone hoping to expand my Festool collection, this has been excited for the 3rd gen.

I do not like that the handle has to be moved to use the T lock. Bad design choice imo
ABSOLUTELY AGREE!!!
Indeed. I hope they keep the T-lock systainers much prefer them
Not to lention that stupid top handle switched position, locking handle is useless, front handle too. The only good thing is the locking knob
Great video..!!! Thank you. (Measurements are on the bottom just flip it... )

I really hate that the top handle locks is :(. I loved the 2nd generation.
What are the little thingamajigs in the front rail of your MFT?
Dogs? And?
Sortimo is another brilliant storage solution!
I think the Festool Systainer is more professional looking than black and red.
I disagree.
I agree
137 and 187 can be locked without taking out the handle. only the small one has this issue
the lock is good to keep children out of the box
If you want to be able to track your Systainer in case of theft you can add an AirTag like this in the handle: ua-cam.com/video/k0bMEizXfOQ/v-deo.html

The handle on 237 is buklshit, doesn’t work! Specially invested in these sustainers but their bullshit handles, what for?
