- A days flyfishing on a Westcountry stream.
I also talk a little about the flies that I use and leader set-up.
The rivers are all running pretty low, but there are a few fly about and the fish are looking up.
Mid-May is a lovely time to be on the river.

Perfectly delightful-stream and fishing. :-)
Very helpful video Luke ...thank you very much...loved hearing the bird song too
Glad you enjoyed it, hopefully I'll be out on the river again soon.
Love your videos, Luke. Hope to own one of your rods some day.
Thanks Karl.
Nice video i love also to fish in those little streams.
Thank You, they are fascinating places, and always nice places to be.
Inspiring Luke, thank you. I’m fishing the Wylye for the first time next week and your 10ft 4wt will be first to hand.
Thanks Warren, the Wylye is a lovely river hope you have a good trip, it's stunning this time of year.
Wonderfully atmospheric video, Luke, thank you. Appreciated the info on your rig as well.
Thanks Karl, glad you found it useful. Hope your season is going well.
Great video , always good to get a rundown of the flies and setup.👍
Thank you Robert. I'll start giving a bit more info in the videos as I do get asked.
Another good video and the information about set up is very useful, envy you the west country streams.
Thank you. A few people have asked for more info about set up etc, so I'll probably do a bit more talking... we've got some lovely water down here, a bit of rain wouldn't go amiss though.
I enjoyed that as usual Luke, thank you.
so different from where I fished yesterday morning. The little stream below St Veron, a torrent ! The highest village in Europe apparently. Fished the duo, they ignored the dry but got a brace on the dropper, a copper John, happy days. I'm looking forward to getting back to blighty and back on the small streams in Wales.
All the best Luke.
Thank You. Sounds like an interesting stream, and certinaly in stunning surroundings, glad you picked up a few fish.
Wow Luke. Stunning video as always. I've really missed your output lately. Please keep them coming! Best wishes..Neil.
Thanks Neil, hopefully I'll get out on the water a bit more now, heading up to Wales soon so should be another one up before too long.
Great video. Thanks.
Glad that you enjoyed it, hopefully I'll be out on the river a bit more now.
Heading up to Wales soon, which should be interesting.
Always a pleasure to see you out on the river again Luke. Thanks for taking the time and effort to keep us entertained. I liked the sparkle dun but what material did you use for the body if you don't mind me asking?
Thank you Peter, I enjoy doing the videos, helps (makes) me slow down a bit when I'm fishing, which seem to help with the catch rate..the body dubbing is some stuff called Arizona Simi seal, its from the states. It's nice stuff.
Nice Video
Thank You.
