I’ve been with Doug and Eevee since before his circular saw mooed 🐄.😂❤.
haha, too many people got annoyed at that so we had to put an end to it. It's fun to have fun when your channel is small, because the bigger it gets, the less you can get away with :D
@ I miss it. I love you guys. Great video!
@diyfferent I don't care how big your channel gets. I think you should still get away with stuff.. You should get away with anything you want to do!
I loved that too! ❤
@ JESUS IS GOD! Let the whole world praise HIM; The Almighty KING! May the Father of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless and keep you!❤️
I’m learning a lot from watching you renovate your home and the investment property. Hopefully within the next three years I shall have my own mobile home.
Dream big :) We hope you get there!
@ Thank you so much. Yes the sky isn’t the limit 🙌🏽
Good for you. To dream is to conquer.
@ Yes it is 🙌🏽
Brilliant use for that old paint!
We could not get the animal urine smell out of the living room of a fixer upper. Scrubbed and painted the walls, ripped out the carpet, scrubbed the subfloor in baking soda, vinegar, pine sol, odoban.... We tried everything, but the huge living room still stunk. Staff person at Lowe's told me to paint the subfloor with oilbased paint. Bought a "mis-tint" off the clearance shelf... One coat and the smell was GONE! No one knows the weird color of the floor under the new carpet .
When I was very little my mom and dad got a brand new house. They got carpet and they knew we all had allergies. They told my mom to polyurethane the whole floor before putting carpet down to seal it. I’ve painted or poly any floors I’ve had since becoming an adult. It works! We had to wait till better weather for one house and noticed a huge difference after doing it.
Good job, guys! Eevee, I wish at 63 i was agile as you 2. I'd need a pulley system to get back up😊
Same! Any flooring install is difficult, but those 2 make it look so easy! Great job, Eevee.
haha. Thank you
Boy these guys .. have a lot of work .. work work work...for years..I don't see how they do it.. honestly . it's incredible..
I like the variety your channel offers. Many different skills and a ton of projects. Keeps it interesting!
The more I watch, the more I want to watch. Always something new going on. Love it❤
Doug and Evie,,
i really enjoy the videos.
I really don't mind the going from one project in one residence, to another project at the other residence.
When I was doing home improvements I did the same thing. You go as far as you can,
You have materials for other projects, you move on to those. Circle back as funds and materials arrive, and just keep moving on.
Thanks for all your tips and tricks, I have learned a great deal ...
Good luck..
The green walls in the bedroom looks really nice and cheery😊
I've been with your channel for quite a while and I'm not only enjoy watching the content that you guys provide everyday because it's such a variety of things that you do you keep it keep it fresh but I have also come to enjoy your channel as like part of a TV series ..... I find myself looking forward to your channel coming up on my UA-cam and I set back relax and enjoy all your personalities and all your projects
Your attention to "what is best/right" is, as always, admirable. Especially in these times.
My wife and I love how through you guys are with plenty of common sense measures
I love the bedroom color. It looks very similar to a sunporch I painted many many years ago. Cheery and welcoming.
And above everything else and everyone else... y'all do you...we love you just the way you are!! I've painted many a floor for it only to be covered later. Poo poo on the naysayers!
What a great idea to use the mobile home as a base camp while you do some major work on the house! And what a blessing to have it to be able to do that! Makes the renovation on it even more fun and exciting to see!! 💖👌👏
Stand-In Jeff! Love your overalls dude!
I read these comments and laugh about something my Uncle said "Everybody spends Your money better than you do".
Everything you are doing has an end goal that none of us knows.
I am here to cheer you on and wish you well...

I really like your portable table saw, I used to load up my old 50s os 60s Craftsman Table Saw and set up un the job site. Those days are over. I enjoy watching you work. Amazing how fast time passes. Thank you for sharing your projects with us.
You guys, your energy is so inspiring! I don’t care what you are doing, or how boring and mundane you may think it is to film, I’m in! I always learn something - from every video - whether it is building, renovating or a life lesson. Thank you for sharing with us!❤
Hi Eevee and Doug, nice fresh start by painting the floor. It’s nice to have the option to move into the mobile home, while you are working on the main house.
We were nicely surprised to see you already had a video up. Thank you!🌻🐾🌴🐩
I love how the bedroom is looking !
We’ve painted a floor, it covered up the dog smell that was in it. A fresh start will be nice to work with😊
Let's get you guys to 200K!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Before we installed our laminate flooring, we painted the subfloor with Killz. There wasn’t any rot, but there were stains of a suspicious origin. I mopped the entire subfloor with bleach water after some light sanding and a good vacuuming. Peace of mind is a piece of mind😊
Nice catching up with you guys today. Thanks for filling us in on the upcoming plans
Love the long goodbyes… Makes me feel like I’m really visiting family.
I've been watching you long enough to know that you aren't done with a project until you say you are done so I assume nothing until then. Your work ethic and your ability to work multiple projects at one time keep things very interesting. The bedroom is coming along nicely, can't wait to see the flooring you have chosen.
The art deco vibe is very popular in Florida. You won't have any trouble selling. You'll have multiple offers. It's almost like you know exactly what you are doing! 😊
This is looking totally awesome… love the music you’ve picked, so entertaining. It is so cool to see you all so happy!!!!!❤❤❤❤
Painting that floor does make it feel cleaner!!😊😊
I think painting the floor makes a lot of sense!
I'm really liking how the mobile home is coming together ❤️ it is going to be beautiful! Much love to everyone 🤗❤️😘
Have no clue what it looked like in person, but I like that muted green paint against the walls. It has the effect of green water next to bright plants - at least on my brain it has that impact.😎
Peace of mind is everything. Nothing wrong with a little extra protection. 😊😊
“Don’t get into that debate” is great advice. I had to laugh though because it reminded me of the debate a few years ago and u had to actually do a tutorial on installing outlets and why u did it the way u did. Outlet hardware has changed with every redo so far. Enjoying all the projects and glad ur bringing us along. Thanks for the hard work.
I was pleased to see the colour of your house again. It really is a great colour, beautiful. You are both good with colour.I notice the once mocked and despised beige is back everywhere with a vengeance. So very dispiriting and lifeless in my opinion, while your colours are lively and uplifting to the spirit.❤
We've had to do some "back up, redo and carry on" to achieve our goals as well. Sometimes it just works out that way. As always, progress feels wonderful and y'all do great work!! Ha e an awesomely blessed weekend!!
Lots of work to be done! But it just occurred to me today that that is your job!! And in the meantime you are teaching a lot of people many ways of doing different things. I really do know why I am so interested in your videos, but I can hardly wait from time to time for them to come on. I’ve got an addiction!! At 76 years old I know I can’t do 99.99% of them but it is so interesting for this old lady!! I guess I’ve got an addiction. Until next time. ❤❤❤❤
My electrians loved my leviton outlets, and they put them in just like yours!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Regarding putting in the outlet...you said, "because it's residential work, we put them in this way."
It brought a smile to my face as I remember the fun debate you had years ago with the guy and his 100+ year old home. Remember?
I love the color you chose for the walls in that bedroom where you were sanding.
Thanks
I’m always impressed with your work. I rarely comment but I have watched you for years. I still remember that AWESOME bedroom with the two-tone wood floors and the built in headboard and floating side tables! Absolutely stunning work! I’d hire you if you lived near me for a makeover for my bedroom! ❤❤❤
Evee I am impressed the whole time you were painting the floor my legs were feeling the pain😂😂. The paint color on the walls is so pretty great choice. I’m like you Doug I,would want to have a clean surface to work with. It was great to see Stan back in the job.
This is an unexpected treat. I can’t wait. Every step is a great milestone closer to the finish line. Hey Stan first appearance in the new year!!
Every video is an adventure!
Don’t let these folks rush you all!! You do the pace that works for your family!!
You guys are amazing. I can’t believe how much you accomplished in January. Now you’re already this far along. Nice paint
Love, love, love your idea of staying at the mobile home while your home is in chaos. So very glad you're able to do it "diyfferently" this time! 😉
Sealing that floor was a great idea. Eevee did a great job too. I wish I could be as nimble, not just in my older age, I couldn't ever do that squatting with my bad body even when I was a teenager. You go, girl!
If your plans are selling the mobile who ever buys it is sure to have a great investment . What great work and energy went into this project along with good quality materials. You are amazing so intelligent with the ability to do all the major electrical and plumbing.
I love watching you all. Thats a wonderful ideal the kids will love that.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the process of your projects. Also regarding the outlets… I need to change mine out and it was nice to take notes on which ones to properly use and how. Thank you as always enjoying your content God bless you and your family always in all always till next time. Take care.💕🙋♀️
Doug the room is looking good and it's exciting to see things come together ❤️🇨🇦
You always have projects going. That makes it interesting and you so superior work!
I love your channel. I've learned more skills and gained confidence to take on renovations and save a lot of money. I have to replace the sub floor in my sunroom, and I have to build new support footers under the room. After watching you, I know how to do it! Thanks!!!
Great plan. It will all come together and be great to watch the progress.
When I cleared out the bedroom in my place, it had been the room for an elderly man who wasn't very tidy. I painted the floor with concrete paint because I had a can of it. Put padding and carpet over it and it is great. I will be replacing all of my outlets and I'm a bit frightened even after watching you do it many times. My neighbor will help me get the hang of it.
I get so many great ideas from you, Doug and Eevee. Another fan from Ohio!
Whenever I see your house paint color, I love it even more. As always, blessings from Oregon.
Thank you for sharing. Take care
Everything is looking so good!
Goodnight, Doug, Eevee, and kids! Slumber peacefully. Love the idea of painting the floor! So clean! See you in your next video. Love and blessings!
I bought a trailer once that had a deep doggy smell and did exactly the same thing.. Well, almost. I Kilzed it then laid carpet. Worked like a charm. Kudos!!
Looking good. If people don’t like your work pace, they could always volunteer to send you money to buy materials and hire help.🤣
Good idea to paint the floor BEFORE laying the flooring! At first, I thought it was “extra” but when you mentioned the moisture and humidity there, it made perfect sense! I shouldn’t have thought that because I know how you think pretty much. Great job ad usual!💕
This is one self reliant channel! As in diy everything! You do every thing yourself and to perfection. So very inspiring to others!
You are SO organized-always three steps ahead in your planning. I like it!
You two are such hard workers. Enjoy your videos ❤
Hi Doug EeVee Belle & Maverick, that is a great idea to paint the floor.Your reason to paint it is spot on Doug & EeVee!❤️
Awesome plan! ...Its wonderful to see the " destroyed" storage trailer back " up and running!" 😆. Be encouraged!🙏🌟👍
Living in the singlewide while finishing up the house is a great idea! Living in a construction zone is okay to an extent, but with what you are planning, I'm sure you all will be much more comfortable out of the mess.
Thanks!
Yes learning alot, Thank you for explaining things for us.
The floor looks wonderful. Great job guys.
I think painting the floor is an excellent idea!❤
Oh gosh Doug you are such a great worker, and that mobile home is looking so much better. Your home is also looking so great, that beautiful color you painted it on the outside is so pretty, I love the look of that color. Your home is looking better and better with all of your great work, thanks for sharing another great video, have a great rest of your week, sending blessings and love and hugs, bye! 🥰😍😍🙏🙏👍💜💜💜💜💜
I would never have thought to paint the floor to make a clean area. That was a good idea. Thanks.
The insulation is so impressive - A/C and heat will be awesome as well as noise control.
Thank you guys on the video! EV you did an excellent job with the paint job! Thanks Doug on identifying the hawk making that noise! It sounded like the background noise from an old black and white Tarzan movie!
Doug and Eevee I love watching and seeing all the different projects you do. I painted our floors before we put the flooring down also. We do it because I have very bad allergies and I want to prevent as much dust that we can. Look always forward to seeing what you do next.
When I was young I would visit friends homes ,and the homes would have painted sub floors in them . Likeable !
Good job Evve. !
Great job painting the floor, Eevee. It looks so much cleaner and will really help with the vapour barrier. I love the paint colour in this room. It’s so pretty. Green always looks great.
Painting your subfloor with a sealer also protects your subfloor from pet stains too. We used it to seal in bad odors. Works great. I walked into homes that reeked from pet urine but after we sealed the floors you couldn’t smell it.
Great idea using the paint you already have as a sealer.
I guess you could call that "diyfferent" from the norm 😊
Another step toward the end goal.
As always I enjoy watching
I love the idea of painting the floor,it will help seal it even more, great idea! I think that mobile home is going to be so nice! ❤😃
I like the texture created by the wall product. The paint looks so good.
The storage trailer looks great!
I loved this video! I enjoy when you do multiple things and have us tag along
hope the neighbourhood is safe enough so that the items inside the house
are safe when the windows are removed and youre not there , might look intoo making temparary covers (panels with beams on the inside with cariage bolts through and through that you tighten from the inside ) so those window holes are closed . should protect the interior a little better in case it rains at night , best option might be to remove the old siding partly , remove the first window in the row one window put up the siding open the window hole remount the window and continue on , does mean a lot of switching between demo and instalation jobs but should keep the house mostly enclosed and weatherproof
My dad always painted his floors before laying flooring.
Gosh you guys are so busy. Like carpenter bees🐝
Whatever you do I enjoy! You and Eevie do a great job!
You have a good plan and I’m excited to follow along. ❤
Hi guys!
Doug, your painting analogy was a good one. When I paint, I don't let anyone see it until it's almost finished. Because they wouldn't understand why, during the beginning stages, it looks like a 3 year old is painting it. At least the mobile home doesn't look like a child is doing it. Yeah, it's not done yet. But it still looks really nice. It's even interesting how much better it looks with just the paint on the floor. Anyway, the point is, anyone who has seen enough of your videos knows that the finished product will be beautiful. Good job Eevee! 👍
You guys take care! Enjoy your day! I'll see you next time.
Bye Doug! Bye Eevee! 👋
Hi kids! 👋 Bye kids! 👋 Have fun!🎉❤😊
Hi, Thanks!
Great video Doug ,keep doing what you’re doing ❤
Constantly making progress !! ❤❤
I can tell you that painting the floor to keep humidity out works to an extent. I've been living in my house for over 2 years now with this technique. Can't wait to fix my floor this year! 😂
Painting the floor will also help keep orders from the past from coming through it seems to me.
