    Edwards seem like a good elder brother in Christ to me, even though I'm not even American and don't know much about him.

    Those of you that preach religion, automatically think you know the mind of the supposed god. If that was not true, you would be terrified of “misquoting” the one you are certain “is” a god.
    If you think that an evil atheist would be in trouble for refusing to believe in the existence of a god ... just think of how much worse trouble you might be in for taking words out of the god’s intended context ... which in turn caused shunning, bullying, and even death to those whom the god just might perceive as being innocent of such spiritual crimes.
    There are now hundreds of ex members of clergy that have joined The Clergy Project, to find employment elsewhere.
    From Apostle to Apostate: The Story of the Clergy Project … authors … Catherine Dunphy, Richard Dawkins
    As former clergy who have left churches of every denomination, synagogues, mosques, convents, monasteries, and theological institutions, we stand as examples of the reasonableness of doubt and its thoughtful conclusions. I cannot help but think that we offer a compelling voice for why science and secularism do a better job than religion and superstition of answering the so-called ultimate questions.

      The background noise is distracting, useless, and caused us to stop listening.

    So, Edwards spends huge amounts of time arguing with an atheist about God? Talk about a waste of time! God created mankind because of His Love. Aside from the perfect unity of the God head, we are the object of His love.

      The scripture calls it contending for the faith, and souls have been saved through this practice!!! Image someone who knew and had the truth, but withheld it from u, because they saw u as a waste of time???! The mind of Christ is to serve!!!!! Such it is Paul and the disciples which were before his conversion, also preached and contended for the faith in the squares, souls won over to Christ!!! U need a new heart!!!!!!

      Did you not pay attention to the video?! Spinoza gave a solid argument which attacked the sufficiency of God and his end in creation. Jonathan Edwards dismantled his argument.

    He owned slaves until he died. He even gave them away in his will. There’s no way he is a man of God. He never got over the sin of enslaving people.

      Bible does not say that this is a sin.

      hes just a man. men cannot completely just stop sinning. that's impossible =/

      @@quintenandjoannklonowski134 I believe that the kind of slavery that made people victims, stole them, made them slaves against their will - is a sin. But we see that there was a kind of slavery in the NT that was ok. For example Philimon and Onesimus. Read the epistle to Philimon - very encouraging.

      The Foxy even more reason that I don’t believe in the Bible. I’m just going on what is terrible and if your Bible doesn’t consider enslaving people a sin then it’s very flawed.

    • @RellBlunt
      @RellBlunt 4 роки тому +4

      The Foxy I would hate for my only defense for slavery is “the Bible doesn’t say slavery is a sin”. Does the Bible not realize right or wrong within humanity? That’s disgusting.
