nick dean no, he's naturally agressive, you don't need to go through a lot of break ups in order to be pissed, some people can get angry really easily and use that as an advantage in lifting.
Alexis Carvalho "naturally aggressive", I think you'll find that it was mainly the tren. I've known people who take it and they are not nice to be around when they're on. He's a lot more passive now that he's off the tren ( i think).
Still one of the all time greatest videos on the internet. You inspired me from day one back in 2012 and I’ve followed you ever since. I watch this video at least once a month. I live the basement day every day!
Henry Rollins: "Iron Never Lies"- In some ways, powerlifting is truly the most brutal of all sports, because it's so simple. How do you make progress? By doing one more rep or adding a little weight to the bar! If you are not adding rep or pounds, you are not making progress. In every single workout you always have to put it all on the line, otherwise there will be no progress. And progress is very easy to measure. MMA is very tough, but how the hell do you measure progress? How do you know whether you made any real progress in any given workout? Can you know execute a technique better? Or were you learning a new technique that will be nearly useless? Some dude beat you and in a rematch you beat him. Are you getting better or is he getting worse? Did you have a good day or did he have a bad day? Or did he just, for some reason, happen to give you an opening which you were able to capitalize on? In a stark contrast...Iron Never Lies! Powerlifting and weightlifting should be more popular and there should be more money in it. Good supplement and good "supplements" are not cheap...nor is lots of high quality high protein low fat foods. But, strength sports will never be as popular as baseball, football, soccer, hockey or MMA. Mark my words...MMA will be huge and it WILL pass boxing. It was huge in Greece and Rome "a while" back. I hope to god gladiator shit never makes a comeback and I for one will never watch people getting murdered. MMA is all fine, though.
I do believe top level powerlifters could be top level in many sports with the kind of dedication and (really) obsession they have. McGregor said "I'm not talented, I'm obsessed". George Leeman gave a truly great rant about powerlifting motivation, along th same lines as Pete here. And, good deadlifters likely have long arms, meaning their "ape index" is good for MMA. Most powerlifters might be a bit too heavily built, though, meaning they will be on the short side for their weight class. And the most important thing a fighter must learn is how to take a punch...and you only learn that in the ring be it full contact sparring or (preferably) a real fight. Dring peacetime no army can teac soldiers to control their fear in the face of very real possibility of death or serious injury and be able to function. The only people who willingly stare death to the eyes are extreme athletes, most notably the late great Dean Potter. Pretty much the most respect I have will go to war veterans and the most will go to war heroes...and the absolute most will go to people like Desmond Doss (Hacksaw Ridge).
You inspire me to go smash records dude! I'm just getting back into it after many years out of the game and now I'm on beast mode and nothing will stand in my way to smashing the New Zealand records #smashyourgoals
Pete you are awesome. you are an animal. Hopefully 1 more year and after high school I could get into powerlifting. 815 deadlift is amazing. As of right now my deadlift is only 405 max with a straight bar. I just gotta work my way up. i bench 275 and squat 505 at parallel. Hopefully one day i can be as strong as you. keep up the great work ! from Seth Thomas
Damn keep pushin Rubish. Respect from Kansas powerlifting. Anyone know anything about fucking up elbows from deadlifting? I've had to stop because when I extend my elbow after lots of heavy deads something hurts like a broken bone but only when I extend it wrong. Had X rays and not shit was found. Farmer walks too. Figure this is as close to a dead lift forum..
Dank Memes Give Me Wet Dreams the question is why would you reply to this 4 year late comment? Then again the bigger question is why am I replying to you 1 year later?
you where destined to lift big weights and put them back down! lol.. well i was destined to go to collage and become a cardiologist and make 900 grand a year, and get money to perform surgery on people like you who took way to many steroids.
Tendinitis or the ligaments in your joints not being strong enough yet. Why it only happens with heavy deads the rest of your body is up to par which is why your able to still lift. I found fish oils helped a lot and icing right after training to bring down some of the inflammation.Learned this from pro baseball pitchers wearing an ice sleeve on their pitching arm right after a game.
Some days, while I'm just sitting, walking, thinking, eating or anything ... I just get the urge, the anger, to go deadlift.
YES!
+Mr. Green wtf bro
+Mr. Green that teen testosterone going skyrocket, boy! Better use that now and get strong as fuck till its late!!!

This guy probably went through a lot of bad break ups
+Damian Kenney why do you say that?
+Alexis Carvalho because he has serious issues, have you not seen his lifting videos?
nick dean no, he's naturally agressive, you don't need to go through a lot of break ups in order to be pissed, some people can get angry really easily and use that as an advantage in lifting.
Alexis Carvalho I'm already aware of that, it was a joke.
