Hi there! I just purchased a 2005 Speedy Mono Classic from TRR. The brass lock is attached to the vachetta tab like yours. In the description it states lock is included but it says nothing about the keys so I may not be getting a key. I will find out Monday when it arrives. Thanks for mentioning where and how to locate the key for my lock. I was hoping I could get it from LV.

Awww, isn’t it fun to find the ones connected to a year that had meaning? This one happened to link with the year I got married, and my Speedy 30 is 1989. I was just hanging out in college then 😎
It is hard to find! Although the new ones just have a microchip, so those will be impossible 😁 What kind of smell? Sometimes just setting the bag out in the sun for a couple hours a day really helps.
@@VintageSac It’s like a food smell I’m not sure why but it’s so intense it’s nauseating! I put the laundry crystals in a little baggy and letting it sit for a couple of days also dryer sheets and Lysol on the inside I’m hoping it works so I can use it as my everyday bag
I owned an old speedy myself, however the canvass is slightly damaged. I think it caused from a cigarette burn :( Not very visible and worse though. However, I'm thinking of selling it as I am now scared it might be prone to more damge.If you know what I mean:) I love vintgae though and it was my first @t you think it is worth selling and just get mysellf a new one or?:)
Thanks for watching! I can’t give any advice as I’ve never had to deal with damaged canvas, but it does affect the value because once the canvas is damaged, LV won’t touch it for repairs.
@@VintageSac I understand, I bought the handbag 2nd hand myself and wasn’t careful enough to check the canvas properly. However, I went to LV store and had my SA checked the handbag. They can replace the leather parts, but not the canvas part unfortunately which I already expected:(
Hello, just adding to the conversation. I know some people buy damaged bags because they upcycle the canvas to make key chains and things. But, they are looking for a deal so you prob won't get much for it. If the damage is only noticeable to you i would use it unless you really just want a newer better condition bag. Do you belong to any othe LV facebook pages? That's a good place to buy and sell.

You’re welcome! LV does sell the keys and locks as a set, but that wouldn’t help you to remove the old one. Hope you enjoy your bag 🥰

Yikes! I have also put coffee crystals in a fabric pouch and that may also work. Good luck!
