Just today as the trial I’ve been going through for so long seems so overwhelming God lead me to this song it told me because He lives I can face what ever happens to come because I have the victory through Him and that’s enough for me
when Daddy adjusts his baby’s little headband, and Mama sings, too, the Love of our Father in all His tenderness, is shown. Tomorrow is my sister’s funeral. She died and died quick (3 wks from diagnosis to passing) but she glowed as her family held her. Because He Lives...she entered Heaven, all earthly labors completely, and forever into His Light.

Man I have not cried this much during a worship song in a long time. During this time it has been difficult to see the light at times but this classic hymn really got me today. It also takes me back to church with my grandparents singing in their church when I was a kid. I am just really moved and encouraged this morning from this. Instead of looking for this time to change, or looking back to better times, we are to look to Him. He lives and is alive in our present life. Thank you all for this.

Chills Becky, chills. Just gave me chills. Back in 96, I was in a crack house getting high. I looked out the window as many people do and my aunt Lynne, the most godly woman I have ever known, was sitting in her car in the middle of the road. It was 230 in the morning. I walked out and asked what she was doing there. I will never forget her words. She said, "I woke up, and Death was standing in the corner of the room. I started to wake up your Uncle Mike to tell him that I love him because I thought Death was there for one of us. Death held up his hand to silence me. He told me where you were and said I needed to come get you. He said our King made him pass over you 3 times tonight, but that you were surrounded by demons that had come for you. Er-Bear(thats what she has called me all my life), leave this place. The Lord protects you because you have parents and an aunt that prays for you day and night. God sent me to tell you that my prayers cannot protect you anymore if you choose to ignore this warning." I left everything in that house without looking back. I found out later that everyone in that house had decided that when I ran out of money, they were going to kill me. I wrote this because I KNOW He lives. I know He calls to us. I know He protects us. Praise God for His mercy and intervention.

When we were expecting our first, we found out she had heart problems, to the point the doctors told us she might not make it to labour or beyond. I would utterly bawl my eyes out as we worshipped singing this song. "How sweet to hold, a newborn baby...but greater still to know this child can face uncertain days because He lives". We lived uncertain days. We still live them. But we also live in "because He lives". Hallelujah! And no, still can't make it through without crying. Thank you for a beautiful rendition of a hymn I will always hold dear and will always be a deep heart prayer of mine.
