I was in the audience for this record ( see part 2 at 4.29, I was the young guy who asked the question.) Big thanks to the uploader for bringing back happy memories of skipping college for the day, this made me laugh. Met Val and Carol outside the studio beforehand and have to agree with the comments about Val; pompous and money driven. I didn't even recognise Carol at the time, who was so demure and ladylike and seemed used to not being recognised.
I have noticed this as well. In every one of her interviews I have seen online, she seems to dominate the interview and comes across as very full of herself.
I agree that Val Lehman seems full of herself, but not unlikeable. Furthermore, when a person acts in a defensive way, which she does rarely, it indicates feelings of insecurity rather than its opposite, so she is "more to be pitied than censored", no?

Good HEAVENS! I didn't know both of our Miss Bea's daughters starred in the show! I enjoyed young Yvonne! I remember her saying 'I'll fix her'!
Nice interview i am lucky to have one of the last autographs of carol burns she seem very nice id only wish id met her

Carol is so much nicer than Val to talk to. I met and spoke to both and theres no comparison. Val is stuck up but Carol is very polite and humble.
