Not sure how I ended up here, but I know what CLASSIC material this is! Mad props to Hoolihan, Big Chuck, and 'Lil John! Great memories! Big Ups for posting!

Thanks! Classic Hoolihan and Big Chuck...love it!
One caveat: although Parma is truly Kielbasi Country, this segment was filmed mostly in Cleveland's Slavic Village area, where Big Chuck Schodowski grew up, as noted by the business establishments shown.
Hey, that horse really ate up that kielbasi!

Grew up in Slavic Village back in the early 70’s. Nowadays a lot of the stores and shops are gone.

One of our friends who has since passed away loved this skit. She recognized all the places. I can still hear her say "oh everyone got laid out at Komoreski"

Lol, Loved these guys! I lived in Parma during these years. If you're not from Cleveland, you won't appreciate the humor.

Anyone from the Midwest with a large Polish community would get it, I hope.

You should all read Big Chuck's book for the inside stories.

Watching these skits really bring back some favorite childhood memories! Too bad slavic village and the nearby neighborhoods and streets have lost its luster i remember how it use to be. So sad, but fond memories

I grew up in Michigan and these guys made an impression on ME -- just from watching them with my Ohio cousins on visits. I wish I could see their satire of the "Salvo" laundry detergent commercials. Remember "Salvo" detergent? It was like a compressed disc of detergent, and you'd throw one of these discs in with your laundry, and the commercials had a big giant ancient Greek- or Roman-looking fist coming up from the washing machine, presumably to show the stain-fighting "power" of the detergent. Anyway, in the "certain ethnic" version of this commercial, the fist would come up from the machine, but a bra was stuck on it, and the fist had to nervously shake it off. Comedy Gold. Damn that was funny.

Growing up in the early 50's and 60's in Cleveland, I used to crack up watching Big Chuck & Hoolihan. and The 'master, Ernie 'Ghoulardi' Anderson. Those guys put Parma on the map. Those were some very good days and you were proud to be a Clevelander.
The only thing missing is the Papa Oom Mow Mow" clip that The Ghoul used to throw in.

Brings back many memories of Fleet Avenue. Sadly, most of those establishments went out of business long ago.
