@@Jusuff I realize this comment is very old, but i couldnt imagine Arsenal bird being someones first introduction to the Ace Combat brand superweapons. Its shown at the beginning, its well known through the game and you defeat it at the end. Every other game speaks of them, sometimes has them used but doesnt show them until you fight them. Air combat is the only one that really just throws it at you. Feels unlike anything else in the series when you fight it.
The airborne fortress in this game is the grandfather to the UI-4053 Sphyrna,Arkbird,XB-0 Hresvelgr,Aigaion,Kottos,Gyges,Glephnir,Spiridus,Orgoi and soon the two Arsenal Birds Liberty and Justice.
Also a fun fact, apart for both Arsenal Birds called Liberty and Justice, Liberty is allways in Space Elevator, the first down was Justice(kind of meaning of truly justice after Trigger's false incrimimation), and at last the Arsenal Bird Liberty was down, this could end the war as a truly liberty, but certain Z.O.E ravens was free
I remember the feeling entering the final mission. Start the mission, press and hold square to view minimap and the only thing on it is this massive object and when you look up and see this enormous fortress thing slowly emerge in the distance, then the 0:45 second mark of the song cuts in as you go ".... Oh man... that thing's huge," spine tingling stuff. Adore this game.
To think I felt intimated in my childhood youth..., but even as a child I knew what this meant, this thing represent the enemy getting angry to the point they are unveiling their best air fortress yet. Either this thing be destroyed or every thing we've done would be all for naught. It was do or die for real, for the last time.
I recently played the 3 first AC games and honestly this was one of the coolest moments of them, the build-up with the soundtrack was amazing. Now I'll listen to this when I fight the aigaion.
This song has a very calming but larger than life tone. It makes you feel ethereal as you fly towards your target, and it almost hypnotizes you into focus as you engage. Could not have picked a better song for this mission.
This song really embodies the bizarre feeling of awe at the superweapon; It's like having to do battle with some eldritch abomination, and you're asking yourself: "How the heck are we shooting this behemoth out of the sky?"
Ah the memories. I was maybe 8yor while playing the mission. I remember first time seeing it, the fortress scared the shit out of me. But I kept booming and zooming with the old trusty Tomcat and when it went down that was the best moment of relief ever! xD
the last bits of the melody really match the condition where we hunt the escort fighters, since we have to move right/left constantly, just to get them lock on
This song makes me want to play warthunder to have moment of stuck in nervous feeling during staring at radar wishing for my missile reach earlier than enemy’s
You never forget your first superweapon kill.
Mine was the Arsenal Bird in AC7. It felt like you just slayed a giant beast

But XB-0 produced before air combat airborne fortress
@@Misi-mas he's talking about the fact the Airborne fortress is the first air fortress being introduced to the series

“Gentlemen, this is it. Our final dogfight. We can rest when this over knowing it’s our Last Refuge.”
I love that bass guitar that cuts in at the 0:45 mark!

This music, silence and fear.
I wish for DLC Expansion of AC7 that takes place in the Skully Island.

I'm still adoring this game in 2018...are you too ?
I played it when I was younger, I played it today, in 2019, and realized how good the music is, it's pretty fun.
The chills I got as a kid the first time I flew up on that flying behemoth with this purring etherially in the background.. D:

The beginning of the massive superweapon trend, wow did this thing blow me away when I first see it

I had trouble finishing this final stage back in the day. Hands used to be sweaty as fuck on my playstation controller ha ha

Incoming Missile, dive, DIVE!!!
This may be your final mission
Hit and run. just hit and run.
It's like a Vangelis tune. Great sounds for the final boss.
That opening 45 seconds is absolutely ethereal.
ここ、無限?に湧いてくるラプターがある意味脅威
The most anime song on the track was OF COURSE for the giant flying fortress 😅😅😅
My shit right here take me back to being a teen
I remember the huge airborne fortress, and I tried to destroy this many times.
This song makes me want to play warthunder to have moment of stuck in nervous feeling during staring at radar wishing for my missile reach earlier than enemy’s
When you drop a tank of liquid nitrogen into the crater of an active volcano from a B29 Superfortress
I didnt realize during the gameplay how this music has an epic vibe.. maybe because I was busy trying to shooting down that crazy mothership
1.25 speed actually sounds pretty good :D
Sounds like top gun
Last mission !
Memories…
Best moments...
The original final mission banger
This soundtrack reminds me the ACZ' soundtrack
ラスボス
Fuckin BADASS
