  • At only 20 years old and already headed into his 3rd season. Jonathan Kuminga is currently the warriors best prospect. He's showing all the signs of developing into an incredible two-way player. Will the Warriors allow him to grow into his own?

    Kerr said JK should be ready for a full rotational role. JK has done nothing this summer to dispell that notion. That sounds like 20 - 25 min a night to me.

    I fullly expect him to play some starter minutes but to play the main rotational position behind Wiggins, Dray and occasionally looney throughout the year. Kerr loved to play with his lineups and test versatility throughout early season/preseason. Jks proven himself to be the eventual replacement for Wiggins

    Jk minutes are going to increase. They had to shelf him to pump up Poole's value in order to move him more easily. Now, with a real point guard not trying to impress baddies, he will be far more effective on the second unit.

    Kerr is known for preferring to play veterans over younger players, so the acquisition of Rudy Gay may be troublesome for Kuminga. However, I expect Kuminga to be the first choice sub when either Green or Wiggins are rested in a game. So, a good 20-25 minutes a game should be the least of what's expected from the young man.

  • @LonneLou

    Kuminga and Wiggs will help CP and Steph in scoring with their mid-range shooting. They were also the best two way players that the GSW had last season. Looney did all her could but he didn't have the length to challenge the likes of Giannis, AD, Jokic or Adams of Grizzlies (even though he was out this year}. And, Draymond didn't even attempt to stop the bigs. I believe JK can be as versatile as Akeem Olajuwon as he take his game to the next level.

  • @Ronaldalan114
    @Ronaldalan114 11 місяців тому

    I’m not hearing anything about his defensive IQ or assists. The warriors do not need offensive contributions. If JK wants Dre’s spot, he has to be the defensive presence Dre is. He has to create plays and passes to the far superior offensive players on the team. This is a team game, and while JK could be a center piece on other squads, in GS, he is a role player. It’s that simple

    • @SwishCulture
      @SwishCulture  11 місяців тому

      His defense has always been his strong point. He's able to move the ball but what he lacks in facilitating he makes up for in scoring. Having him be a Draymond clone isn't ideal. Think about it. Imagine this team built around Draymond instead of Steph. How easy would it be to come by a player like Steph to complement your winning piece? He needs to be an elite scorer which will give him passageway to being an elite two-way wing. Poole would've naturally have been his next-gen teammate, but we'll see what happens moving forward.

      Look we all know Kerr is a goat with all the rings and has forgotten more about hoops than everyone here combined. He had to juggle far too many balls last year with all the issues they had as well.
      But I'm convinced MM and JK are ready for more time and the team would be better as a result. Kerr rode Klay and Steph during too many cold spells and they ran out of gas against the Lakers (barf).

    As long as he makes the effort to defend and rebound, he'll get the minutes. Warriors damn near ran Looney into the ground last year. You could see something clicked in the middle of last season and he started making the effort to defend and not just score. He was then rewarded with more playing time. Warriors offense became so predictable and with no true big, we were crushed if Steph had an off night. CPII is going help him evolve and play smarter. Hoping Wiggs comes back bouncy too. I'm really excited to see the team this year. I feel like people aren't talking enough about Saric. That guy is awesome. We should just sign Javale as a backup center and we'll be set. Just 1 true 7 footer please!

    • @SwishCulture
      @SwishCulture  Рік тому

      Kuminga was one of the best defenders last year. I agree with Mcgee for at least the presence but they're not gonna sign him. I think kerr's just gonna volley between Loon and Saric. How many mins we think Kerr should give Kuminga tho?

    • @sfgurlyeah
      @sfgurlyeah Рік тому +1

      @@SwishCulture I think Kuminga should get 20 minutes. I think Kerr needs to go all in and let Kuminga make a couple of mistakes and not take him off the court immediately. It's a confidence killer. He's dynamic and if he doesn't reach his potential this year, it will really be Kerr's fault this time. He's better than Wiseman and the sky's the limit for him.

    @leonangelarevalo2596 Рік тому +4

    I hope rises to where he has supposed to get, at this point is up to him to put the work and forget about Kerr . the warriors development program is somehow overrated . and the talent evaluation staff has dropped the ball multiple times they knew Wiseman had zero reps in college and took it anyway , knowing that they use centers in limited roles, then why take a center that high in the draft, besides you don't have a veteran center for the kid to look after , draymond is not a center , he can teach defensive master classes but can't teach offensive moves to a young player that want to be like Kevin Garnett... I hope Kerr don't hurt kuminga trajectory ..

    The Dubs now have a bench that, by the All Star Game should rank as equal to almost any Top 10 starting team in the NBA, by the Dubs' system if not in individual talent. Let Kuminga learn to dominate with Paul and other future superstars playing around him. Taking some minutes from Dray will not perfect his game since he will be a third or fourth offensive option to Steph, Klay and Wiggs and only his defense will improve. With the second team he can be a primary option and grow into his game quicker. He is still a year or two away from reaching even 80% of the player he will be when he's 25 and an All Star if given the minutes along with teammate familiarity. Playing alongside CP3 for the next year or two should speed up the process considerably.

  • @semigeniusreally8988
    @semigeniusreally8988 Рік тому

    Dynasty-oriented teams don't have championship aspirations; they have championship EXPECTATIONS! Let's leave the aspirations to the Suns, the Kings, the Lakers, the Celtics and the 76ers. The Dubs now enter each season expecting to finish each season drinking champagne and that mentality and approach to the season is the difference. The Nuggets had a taste of that champagne last year, but thinking like a dynasty is not even close to being there yet.
