My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!
The start of the book is available for FREE online on Smashwords.. .Thank you so much for suggesting it! I did exactly what he said ...wasted time, searching around for all sorts of methods and ignoring the Wellesley course via edX. I don't love it, but it does organize me. And Ivantsiv's study time suggestions, etc. are exactly what I needed to just stop messing around and get started! Again, THANK YOU!! And that's just from the free section...planning to buy it!
Wow! Helps so much to see the words slowed down! Fantastic to see how the lips and tongue move with pronunciations - some very subtle stuff going on and I learned how to correctly say words I have been stumbling on since the beginning! THANK YOU!
I lived in Italy for two a half years from 1990 to 1992 while serving in the USAF and I now wished I would’ve tried harder to learn Italian while over there. I am now using these tutorials on UA-cam to make up for not learning the language back then.
I've learned a lot from your video tutorial than the others. The phasing was really awesome, very clear in enunciation and very precise as well. Loved it all. Looking forward for more video tutorials from you. Thank you for sharing. Godbless you more🙏🙏
I've been messing around..tried Goldlisting but what I was choosing made no sense and it took me ages. THIS DOES...excellent for Goldlisting! Felice is excellent and I'm going to work through this series now because after exploring many things I keep coming back to MANGO free from my library and also ItalPod Eventually, I will become a paid subscriber but I want to work with the free Mango and then cross oer to Ital Pod...
Felice you are an EXCELLENT TEACHER with a very clear pronunciation. My native language is Spanish and I find Italian very easy to pronounce. Please keep making videos and again you are a GREAT TEACHER with a very CLEAR pronunciation.
That's good to know because I learnt Buongiorno as meaning either Good Morning/Good Day/Hello, so I've always thought you could say it as a more formal opening. Turns out it only means Good Morning.. that's the problem of learning languages by yourself; you have no one to tell you you're learning something incorrectly. It's so difficult learning a language alone. Thank you for the comment by the way... I've been learning Italian for a little over a year now and can't believe I've learnt one of the most common words incorrectly. Which makes me worried of what all else I've learnt wrong 😩
buongiorno does not mean hello, it means good morning. Ciao can be used as hello or goodbye or you could say Salve which is a formal way of saying hello
