The lady put Raquel Welch on me (Sparkle) and I was totally shocked and dismayed because it seemed like way too much hair. Now that I've gotten used to it, I really enjoy it, and my friends say that it makes me look younger, than my thinning hair did. Today, ten months later, I absolutely love this wig. Hi Jill, Yes, your perspective is always interesting and helpful. I have a Noriko May in Chocolate Frost R ... I have found ways to deal with the issues you struggle with. I cut off the adjusters, then I snip the wig right where the outer edge of the nape meets the cap. I sew a 1/4" piece of the elastic (from the adjusters) into the space to create more room for my circumference. This keeps the wig from being too tight. Also, I sewed in fabric -- the same type of fabric as the wig grips are made of -- into the cap along the perimeter. This helps with the itch-factor, plus I am able to use It- Stays to adhere the piece to at the front of my hairline. It works wonderfully. I hope these ideas work for you. Good luck! Cathy

Thank you for your very informative videos. My hair has gone so thin, that if the wind blows it up it stays up. Now wearing wigs and have 3 so far. Love the long straight part of the wig at the back of this one and the colour on you. I went to a shop in Manchester UK to but my 3rd wig. Safer than buying on line.
Noriko wigs are definitely my preferred brand. I love the fullness of the wig, and it is pretty natural. Most of the time, the average person wouldn’t know it’s a wig.
you're so right about the "wiggy" feeling. My "first" wig is a "Director's Pick". It was bouncy and clumpy and no matter what I did, it looked awful. I'm still working with it and thinking of straightening it! Thanks for your great videos! So helpful!.
I had this wig (Reese) 6 years ago and did a review on her in Almond Spice. I ended up selling it bc I never wore her. Now, at 50 years old and 6 years later, I purchased her again. She is very close to my bio hair and I hate doing my hair. I have several wigs but Reese is so cute and hassle free. I guess my point is as I aged my styles have changed. I purchased her in this color after watching this video. The chocolate frost R is so cute!!! Thanks for the video!

Those are both adorable wigs....I just totally cut out the adjustable tabs with the metal being cut out also...it all has to go and then I secure with a few bobby pins and I am out the door. I hope that helps you. Love your reviews and you do look adorable in everything!!!!!

I just discovered how amazing these wig grips are!! They didn’t look like they would work but OMG! It made my Julianne petite wig (which is actually a little too small for me) fit perfectly! Go figure! I wish I had invented it 😉 Yeah, that bra strap thing REALLY BUGS me too. I don’t think I’ll order another wig without the Velcro from now on. Much more comfortable. FYI, the Julianne wig actually has the Velcro. I too, think this color is stunning on you ❤️ I also have a Reese wig, but have never gotten used to the shape. It’s got a weird and unnatural rounded business going on, that I have never been able to make look good except to bring that poofy stuff in closer to my head with the use of a headband. But you’ve done wonderful things with it! It looks fabulous on you! I’m really loving that Kate wig!

I totally agree with you on Noriko Caps. They tend to run small, and they do have more spots that itch or irritate. I REALLY wish they would address these issues because I love their wigs. I have Kate...CUTE, CUTE!

I love the Reese on you the best. I have wigs that scratch around the front edge. I sprinkle powder around that edge and blend it in with my fingers. You cannot see it once the hair piece is on. This works for me. I also added a strip of bias tape (sewn in place) that also helps. I speaking of two different methods on two different wigs. Just to mention, it could help you too.
Yes! With other brands, I end up taking about eight wefts out & sewing clips in. I recently discovered Noriko Kate and love her. She fits perfectly with a wig grip and no alterations, other than some thinning (a little too much perma-tease for me). And, I live in the windy desert, working outside with no problems so far. My 2nd Kate (in chocolate frost - thanks to this wonderful video) arrives in a few days. It's difficult to find affordable petite wigs in styles I like. I'm now sold on Noriko! And Kate... She's adorable.

The milano topper grip (large) works without the bulk of a wig grip. …also, cutting off the adjusters made my Noriko Storm fit my 22” circumference comfortably. Thankfully they make Reese in a large cap, which is on my wish list. 😊
The PermaTease is what drew me to Noriko. I have Millie and was complimented 2 weeks ago on it. I was told I had the perfect hair for my facial structure. She had no idea it was a wig. I was thrrilled!!!

Adorable, Jill! Great video. I don't have a lot of experience with Noriko wigs, but I have a Mane Attraction basic cap and an Envy basic cap and It Stays works well with those... wonder if Noriko is made with a different material.

FOR ITCHINESS: I'm also a VSP. So I use solicone wound tape. Putbit on wig and so very thin, doesn't affect fit. Totally stops the itchies!! Good luck!
Your gorgeous in darker wig! Stunning! I started wearing the wig headband grips because of the itching. Wow what a difference it made to my wig wearing! I do place a tiny bit of tape at back of shorter wigs like Noriko Billie in Bubblegum!

I have the same issue with Noriko sizing...and have to pull mine off as soon as I’m home. My very favorite and I’ve tried many....is Jolie. She’s a longer bob than Reese and Sky but not too long for my taste. She’s also the most comfortable I’ve tried...and I adore the color creamy toast. Try that one Jill! Beautiful color....so wish they made it more in other styles. Great reviews!
You can purchase mole skin in a package. I saw Junebug use it. When you said that you looked like a Palm tree ....I lost it! Haaaaar!See ya ~ Lee ( I have a handy hint; I put a rubber band on the holdie part on my mascara, it keeps it from flipping out of my hand)
Can I suggest trying a wig cap made of bamboo and treated with aloe vera with your wig grip might solve the problem of the cap irritating your scalp. Also I understand the Milano now make a wig grip with an integrated wig cap. Worth a try.
I have Reese in Red Pepper and Chocolate Frost. The red pepper has been washed a few times and it really tames her! You might feel more comfortable without accessories after a few washes ☺️
I got Tori in chocolate frost and love it too. Most of my wigs are ash blondes and grey/silver. I'm ordering a new reese and am deciding between chocolate frost and mocha h By the way, I ordered 2 wigs my first time. One was Reese. My bio hair was/is very fine, but wasn't thin before I started losing it. I was noticing just before you said that you were a highly sensitive person that none of the things you mentioned have ever bother me with noriko come but I'm the type of person who's highly tolerant. Because of a congenital defect I lost my teeth in my twenties. They put those dentures and and I just have lived with them for 30 years and most a times they hurt and I don't even think about it because I just tolerant to things like that period it's a good thing because when they pulled my teeth I had 22 root canals and caps & crowns! Then they began crumbling! I had a congenital defect where I was missing whatever causes your teeth to reject acids, so mine absorbed them, causing them to become chalky. That wasn't known in my teens when we took lots of advantage of my moms great dental insurance! I don't, however, tolerate hot and tight wigs! Ever since I was in kindergarten when mom would send my to school in those hard plastic hwasbanda with shark like teeth, I'd have a headache by noon. It took me years to be able to tolerate wearing glasses without getting a headache! So, my noriko gave me plenty of headaches for a while. I've got a petite/average circumference too! 20 7/8". I find a noriko wig is sort of like tight jeans out of the dryer, once you've worn it a while it seems to form to your head and feel loser.
Everything you said is true but I have one too and wondering whether the strips in the back could be cut and loosened more than it allows now. I was thinking of cutting them and sewing them 1/4 inch looser. Usually the other wigs I have have adjustable straps vs. this Reese wig. What do you think? Do you think wig glue might work with this wig when it is slightly small to hold it from moving "up"?

You're right about not trying a Noriko wig as your first wig experience. I made that mistake. I bought a Noriko Sky, in large, since my circumference is 30, as my first-ever wig. It was SO AWFUL!! I looked like a blonde Q-tip. I think the large cap had probably more permatease than even a regular cap. It felt like it was several inches thick.
I've found several good wigs, since then. :-) My favorite brand, for the large size caps, is Gabor. Very stretchy! It's also light-weight. But as for color, I wish they all had the color choices of the Noriko. The Chocolate Frost is lovely!
I am also a Fibro sister and an HSP. When I wear my Norikos in the fall/winter, I get a roll of silicone wound tape and put some around whole perimeter. Works!! Get it at CVS or Target for around $10
My 1st wig, as with many of us, was Reese in Chocolate Frost-R, and now I'm spoiled because I cannot find any others to even come close to this fab color! Anyway, I wanted to share what I did to alleviate the itchy permatease at the hairline. I got really close with small scissors and just cut it off! I took about 1/8" from the edge and cut down as close as possible. Works very well! I also use It Stays at the hairline and that edge is glued down anyway so, since it does not move around there is no itch on the hairline. Curious as to why you are itching right over where your wig grip lays? OK I'm off to buy a Kate in the one and only CF-R!
Two days ago I received my first wig ever, a Noriko Sky. I love the way it looks and didn’t find it itchy at all but now I’m thinking I should look at a different brand for something a little cooler for the summer. Really loving the Raquel Welch wigs!
Hi Jill these are both so cute on you will be nice to see without the black background because it looks like it's a very dark color and it's hard to really see the full style however I for myself have found a way to take care of the itching in any wig I use those hair nets that have the lining around the edges and they fit snug but they're all netted all the way through I use it stays underneath from temple to temple then I put the wig over it but I'd put more it stays on top of that little wig band and that takes care of the wig sitting next to my skin it's thin and there is no movement I'm good to go for the entire day no itching so that's my little trick that I use maybe you can try it and it might work for you but check it out that may be a Winner wishing you a wonderfully blessed New Year👍⚘🌟❤🤗
I wondered if you've ever owned a Belle Tress wig. I currently don't own a Noriko wig but Belle Tress is the same to me about being itchy around the front hairline.

FYI. In one of your videos you mentioned something about returns and exchanges of wigs. I'm new in the world of wigs. I ordered my first wig from "Name Brand Wigs on line. Unfortunately the color was horrid on me. I returned with no issues. I also wanted to let you know QVC offers 30 day free exchanges or refunds. Right now, they are offering 90 days return due to the Pandemic. No charge.. Just wanted to give you those updates. I still haven't ordered another wig. Trying to decide between Jet by Estetica or prestious\Toni Brattin. Sorry for long chat!
You are soooo correct....I just received my 1st wig and hated it!...it was number one of its brand and looked great on the You tube model...expensive ...was looking forward to wearing it and when I put it on I felt I horrible...it is sooo much hair...my head looks huge...:(....I’m exchanging it...concern will not like any wig sine I’m not use to them...u Look gorgeous...thanks for the advice
Thank you for the tip about using the hair powder. I just got a RW wig in Voltage, and it's supposed to be a Large, but it doesn't cover my hairline at the sides, and my hair is very short, but white! I may be able to work it out with some of that powder. Or maybe I just need to order grey wigs!

I change out the bra strap things to velcro . I am also a princess and the pea type and wig grips are awful for me.Just too tight and bulky. I also take off my wigs when I come home.
Hi Jill. Can you tell me the name of that hair powder that you are using. Does it come in different colors? I think your videos are great. My Noriko Sky is the most comfortable to me and I can wear it all day with no problem. But my Raquel Welch, Henry Margu and Jon Reneau are so itchy and uncomfortable to me that I take them off the minute I get in the house. And they are expensive! Those are the ones that are itchy to me even with the lace fronts.
Hi, Jill! Please look at the video called "Make Wigs Comfortable" by Lori's Lemonade Stand. Reese was one of my favorite wigs at one time. I, too, couldn't stand the itching. Just yesterday I saw this video. I think it's worth watching and trying. It really makes sense for the person who is willing to go the extra mile to make a wig work.
I have that exact same wig and color and wear a wig grip. For me, It Stays DOES work. I roll it onto my actual forehead and then press down the edge of the wig over it. Wait until it dries before testing it, of course.
I started wearing wigs in May and my first purchase was Noriko / Reese in Chocolate FrostR. I loved it so much that I bought Jackson and May. In between these 3 purchases I bought other brands and styles and I sent every one back or sold them. I recently purchased "Jamison" and it looks terrible on me and figured out why. The others were all "flat" and I've gotten used to how the Noriko's with the permatease look on me! Do other brands make wigs like Noriko? TY!

The milano topper grip (large) works without the bulk of a wig grip. …also, cutting off the adjusters made my Noriko Storm fit my 22” circumference comfortably.
Thankfully they make Reese in a large cap, which is on my wish list. 😊
The PermaTease is what drew me to Noriko. I have Millie and was complimented 2 weeks ago on it. I was told I had the perfect hair for my facial structure. She had no idea it was a wig. I was thrrilled!!!
Adorable on you. Love the color. Agreed on the Noriko caps. Well made, but warmer due to closed cap and permatease, and smaller. However, they wear like iron. Quality wigs for the price point.

Adorable, Jill! Great video. I don't have a lot of experience with Noriko wigs, but I have a Mane Attraction basic cap and an Envy basic cap and It Stays works well with those... wonder if Noriko is made with a different material.

FOR ITCHINESS: I'm also a VSP. So I use solicone wound tape. Putbit on wig and so very thin, doesn't affect fit. Totally stops the itchies!! Good luck!

Your gorgeous in darker wig! Stunning! I started wearing the wig headband grips because of the itching. Wow what a difference it made to my wig wearing! I do place a tiny bit of tape at back of shorter wigs like Noriko Billie in Bubblegum!

I have the same issue with Noriko sizing...and have to pull mine off as soon as I’m home. My very favorite and I’ve tried many....is Jolie. She’s a longer bob than Reese and Sky but not too long for my taste. She’s also the most comfortable I’ve tried...and I adore the color creamy toast. Try that one Jill! Beautiful color....so wish they made it more in other styles. Great reviews!
You can purchase mole skin in a package. I saw Junebug use it. When you said that you looked like a Palm tree ....I lost it! Haaaaar!See ya ~ Lee ( I have a handy hint; I put a rubber band on the holdie part on my mascara, it keeps it from flipping out of my hand)
Sew or glue mole skin over itchy parts in wig. S👀 ya~

Can I suggest trying a wig cap made of bamboo and treated with aloe vera with your wig grip might solve the problem of the cap irritating your scalp. Also I understand the Milano now make a wig grip with an integrated wig cap. Worth a try.
I have Reese in Red Pepper and Chocolate Frost. The red pepper has been washed a few times and it really tames her! You might feel more comfortable without accessories after a few washes ☺️
Love your videos but maybe showcase light wigs with dark backgrounds and dark wigs with lighter bsckground as it’s hard to see xx

By the way, I ordered 2 wigs my first time. One was Reese. My bio hair was/is very fine, but wasn't thin before I started losing it. I was noticing just before you said that you were a highly sensitive person that none of the things you mentioned have ever bother me with noriko come but I'm the type of person who's highly tolerant. Because of a congenital defect I lost my teeth in my twenties. They put those dentures and and I just have lived with them for 30 years and most a times they hurt and I don't even think about it because I just tolerant to things like that period it's a good thing because when they pulled my teeth I had 22 root canals and caps & crowns! Then they began crumbling! I had a congenital defect where I was missing whatever causes your teeth to reject acids, so mine absorbed them, causing them to become chalky. That wasn't known in my teens when we took lots of advantage of my moms great dental insurance! I don't, however, tolerate hot and tight wigs! Ever since I was in kindergarten when mom would send my to school in those hard plastic hwasbanda with shark like teeth, I'd have a headache by noon. It took me years to be able to tolerate wearing glasses without getting a headache! So, my noriko gave me plenty of headaches for a while. I've got a petite/average circumference too! 20 7/8". I find a noriko wig is sort of like tight jeans out of the dryer, once you've worn it a while it seems to form to your head and feel loser.
Everything you said is true but I have one too and wondering whether the strips in the back could be cut and loosened more than it allows now. I was thinking of cutting them and sewing them 1/4 inch looser. Usually the other wigs I have have adjustable straps vs. this Reese wig. What do you think?
Do you think wig glue might work with this wig when it is slightly small to hold it from moving "up"?

You're right about not trying a Noriko wig as your first wig experience. I made that mistake. I bought a Noriko Sky, in large, since my circumference is 30, as my first-ever wig. It was SO AWFUL!! I looked like a blonde Q-tip. I think the large cap had probably more permatease than even a regular cap. It felt like it was several inches thick.

I've found several good wigs, since then. :-) My favorite brand, for the large size caps, is Gabor. Very stretchy! It's also light-weight. But as for color, I wish they all had the color choices of the Noriko. The Chocolate Frost is lovely!

Jil, what brand do you recommend for a first wig? Preferably not too pricey.
I am also a Fibro sister and an HSP. When I wear my Norikos in the fall/winter, I get a roll of silicone wound tape and put some around whole perimeter. Works!! Get it at CVS or Target for around $10

My 1st wig, as with many of us, was Reese in Chocolate Frost-R, and now I'm spoiled because I cannot find any others to even come close to this fab color! Anyway, I wanted to share what I did to alleviate the itchy permatease at the hairline. I got really close with small scissors and just cut it off! I took about 1/8" from the edge and cut down as close as possible. Works very well! I also use It Stays at the hairline and that edge is glued down anyway so, since it does not move around there is no itch on the hairline. Curious as to why you are itching right over where your wig grip lays? OK I'm off to buy a Kate in the one and only CF-R!
Two days ago I received my first wig ever, a Noriko Sky. I love the way it looks and didn’t find it itchy at all but now I’m thinking I should look at a different brand for something a little cooler for the summer. Really loving the Raquel Welch wigs!

Hi Jill these are both so cute on you will be nice to see without the black background because it looks like it's a very dark color and it's hard to really see the full style however I for myself have found a way to take care of the itching in any wig I use those hair nets that have the lining around the edges and they fit snug but they're all netted all the way through I use it stays underneath from temple to temple then I put the wig over it but I'd put more it stays on top of that little wig band and that takes care of the wig sitting next to my skin it's thin and there is no movement I'm good to go for the entire day no itching so that's my little trick that I use maybe you can try it and it might work for you but check it out that may be a Winner wishing you a wonderfully blessed New Year👍⚘🌟❤🤗
I wondered if you've ever owned a Belle Tress wig. I currently don't own a Noriko wig but Belle Tress is the same to me about being itchy around the front hairline.

FYI. In one of your videos you mentioned something about returns and exchanges of wigs. I'm new in the world of wigs. I ordered my first wig from "Name Brand Wigs on line. Unfortunately the color was horrid on me. I returned with no issues. I also wanted to let you know QVC offers 30 day free exchanges or refunds. Right now, they are offering 90 days return due to the Pandemic. No charge.. Just wanted to give you those updates. I still haven't ordered another wig. Trying to decide between Jet by Estetica or prestious\Toni Brattin. Sorry for long chat!
You are soooo correct....I just received my 1st wig and hated it!...it was number one of its brand and looked great on the You tube model...expensive ...was looking forward to wearing it and when I put it on I felt I horrible...it is sooo much hair...my head looks huge...:(....I’m exchanging it...concern will not like any wig sine I’m not use to them...u Look gorgeous...thanks for the advice
Thank you for the tip about using the hair powder. I just got a RW wig in Voltage, and it's supposed to be a Large, but it doesn't cover my hairline at the sides, and my hair is very short, but white! I may be able to work it out with some of that powder. Or maybe I just need to order grey wigs!

Thank you, Jill! I have a Reese too, and I always have to use clips or headbands. She’s just weird on my long face. If I don’t use the hair accessories, it looks like I’m wearing a football on my head. I have to really tame down that bulk on the sides

I change out the bra strap things to velcro . I am also a princess and the pea type and wig grips are awful for me.Just too tight and bulky. I also take off my wigs when I come home.

Hi Jill. Can you tell me the name of that hair powder that you are using. Does it come in different colors? I think your videos are great. My Noriko Sky is the most comfortable to me and I can wear it all day with no problem. But my Raquel Welch, Henry Margu and Jon Reneau are so itchy and uncomfortable to me that I take them off the minute I get in the house. And they are expensive! Those are the ones that are itchy to me even with the lace fronts.
Hi, Jill! Please look at the video called "Make Wigs Comfortable" by Lori's Lemonade Stand. Reese was one of my favorite wigs at one time. I, too, couldn't stand the itching. Just yesterday I saw this video. I think it's worth watching and trying. It really makes sense for the person who is willing to go the extra mile to make a wig work.
I have that exact same wig and color and wear a wig grip. For me, It Stays DOES work. I roll it onto my actual forehead and then press down the edge of the wig over it. Wait until it dries before testing it, of course.

I started wearing wigs in May and my first purchase was Noriko / Reese in Chocolate FrostR. I loved it so much that I bought Jackson and May. In between these 3 purchases I bought other brands and styles and I sent every one back or sold them. I recently purchased "Jamison" and it looks terrible on me and figured out why. The others were all "flat" and I've gotten used to how the Noriko's with the permatease look on me! Do other brands make wigs like Noriko? TY!
