i was mixing drums for my band, took me about 8 hours and i can't get the bass drum to come out of the speakers and this video saved me another 8 hours, thanks a bunch, and i wish you all the best
You’re correct in your approach. Saturation is the way to go. There are other ways to get richer harmonics too. The original 808 bass drum circuit used a triangle wave as its foundation I believe. Low pass filtering square & triangle waves is nice. I just hate that phone speakers are the reason all the 808s sound like farts now. 😒
I'm using bandlab but I'm having a problem where the bass in my track can be heard loudly in headphones but I can't hear it on ANY speakers. I'm new to producing I'm just a rapper tryna make his own beats.
I got a little lost… you duplicate and then??? Shut off, but it looked like they were both on. This is an excellent tip. Thanks if you can help clarify!
Duplicate and leave them both on but turn the saturated track down in volume so it shows up on the phone speakers but doesn't ruin your sub bass on large speakers. Hope that helps!

Like small speakers or all speakers? Car, monitors, blue tooth etc?
@denk_studios it's more of a problem trying to hear my bass on my phone speakers it cuts out and you can only hear the drums and vocals
