Fun fact the voice actor for crane Roger Craig Smith is also the voice of ezio auditore and sonic the hedgehog Edit: he's also the voice of Chris Redfield in resident evil 5
See, what they managed with this game was making a playable action flick. The vibes are simple and all the better for it. Be strong, help people, get recognized, fight the bad guys.
i played it back in 2015 and i remember guns being way more rarer than it seems in the video, also there were no crazy attachments just regular guns. for some mind boggling reason, the guns were a lot more powerful if you found them earlier in the game. so i created a new character and got all the guns in the earliest point that you can find them with low exp then i gave them to my main character.
ya know... crane could just hid at least 1 box of antizin and then just come back to it when it's daytime, he could then tell maybe just brecken about his mission. after faking out about losing the chance to get a box of antizin only to reveal at least a day later after striking a deal with rais group. and then continue on from handing over jade to fight in the pit
This is one of my favorite games that isn't also in my Greatest of all Time category. So much of it doesn't work, but the vibes are often goddamn immaculate. The soundtrack alone is one of the biggest highlights in this game. And then there's the fact that my best friend gave it to me because he was too scared to play it because of the night sections. For a PS4. A console I did not own at the time and just kind took it with me through the various moves after high school, college, etc., until I eventually had more stability and money to finally buy a PS4. Great game, excellent gameplay, and even the thin story and characters have their charm.
Ypu know, a fun indie game might be one where ypu play a character that would normally be an NPC in a game like Dying Light. Just doing dailyissions to stay alive, sometimes running from monsters, all while seeing news reports about what the "main character" has been doing. Maybe once or twice having to do something to help out.
Favorite moment in the last QTE fight is when Rais starts monologuing again and Crane, exasperated, interrupts him saying, "Oh would you just shut the f*ck up!"
It's my personal belief that Yusuf (Fake antizombie drug guy and all around douchecanoe) is the guy who caused the lower floor in the tower safehouse to become lost, HE turned, then started rampaging
I remember actively SHOUTING at my screen during the final showdown… “FIGHT WITH BOTH HANDS! YOU HAVE CARGO PANTS! JUST PUT THE DATA IN YOUR POCKET SO YOU CAN USE BOTH HANDS TO FIGHT, YOU STUPID !” I wasn’t a huge fan of the game, myself. The mechanics were decent, but having the main character consistently make terrible decisions without my consent was pretty frustrating.
I played this game on 3, then 4 systems (Switch), I played every event, found every egg, saw every sight, played every DLC for 7 years! And still play to this day. My inventories today are astonishing! Lol. I just wish DL2 had been as good.
never noticed this till watching the video at 1:52 when you hear the sound that you upset the runners? i forgot the name i think they are saying ether run away or get away
The bombers were the worst of the worst, simply because the AI has a tendency to spawn them RIGHT THE FUCK BEHIND YOU while you're stuck dealing with a horde of regular infected or something. Also, the volatiles look more like mind flayers than zombies, there is no way in hell a rabies variant made those abominations.
I fucking hated bombers the most out of any other type, half because the concept of exploding from the inside makes my lizard brain short circuit in a bad way, and half for the reasons you mentioned.
You can't get over having a basic warning that gives people a heads-up? You realise that a content warning is just a warning, right? You can breeze right by it. I enjoy the horror film The Autopsy of Jane Doe, but I would've appreciated knowing ahead of time that a cat is mangled and killed in it. That wouldn't have stopped me watching it, but I wouldn't have been surprised by it, and some people prefer not being surprised by things that are particularly upsetting to them. If it doesn't do anything for you, it's not for you. I don't understand why you're against something just because you don't personally need it.
@@khanlusa keep doing what you're doing! Some people just don't understand, but that shouldn't hold you back. Personally I don't need the warnings, but i like them; it shows me that you really care about your audience.
Rais is a very toxic interpretation of a man and tho I don't appreciate it as a blanket castigation of my entire sex there a necessity to portraying it from time to time as the overwhelming majority of men are nothing of the sort and those few like rias usually receive a well deserved and judicious beat down to attitude adjust them... Every so often they Rais up, 😅, and actually become the most powerful and unstable version of themselves. As much as dying isn't a particularly polished story whilst being an exceedingly polished game, it is essentially the depiction of psychopaths and sociopaths seizing profit and power in times of catastrophic calamity for the general populace and while that seems an absurd concept the unfortunate reality is it happens every day if you just read up on your history.

Wait I didn’t know Roger Craig smith played “that boulder punching asshole” - Heisenberg
He's also Mirage in Apex
He's also Origins Batman
@@spudmeister9566he’s gonna voice him in that new vr game too
How happy you were to find that little platform on the electric pole !
I always hate that part of the mission so it was a very nice surprise! 😂

This game is still fun to play today. That music with the synth pitch running about, gives me 80's horror vibes, which is my jam.

You thoughts made me realize why I liked this game so much it isn't the smartest most completed story but it's an enjoyable one
Its a fun experience, I'm having another go at it

This game is one of my all time favs. Its a simple story but it checks out.

Great vid! Gawd that ambience at the start with the noise alerting the infected was just *perfection*
Thank you! It really sounds like someone who has gone absolutely feral is coming for you, doesn't it?

The nervous chugging of the redbull was too real 😭
You can actually tell Crane saw Rahim as a little brother... Story's simple, but the telling is complex...
ok thanks, now the trailer makes sense and its so fun to see that bracken has the awareness of a child
Gold semi auto engraved shotgun and UV light are my favorite weapons

Fun fact, part of the design for the volatiles(the jaws in particular) was based off of the Reaper vampires from Blade 2
Wow green hill zone looks more like the slums right about now
wonder if the incomplete cure the files for which we're supposedly looking for is the same as the one found in the following
Its a shame they never made a secuel
Lmao.
it's weird hearing sonic in the zombie apocalypse
Dying light is a pleasure. Guilt doesn't factor into it in any way at all.
Will you ever get to covering Atomic Heart? It will be nice to see it.
:D
I can't get over the content warning.
Like how is this useful?
Why would anyone that has issues seeing that click on this video?
