Today we are sharing our joy with you. We bought an electric oven. Now Darlene and I can bake bread and cakes, pies and muffins. Then we went to the jungle. I decided to show my wife a beautiful interesting place I had recently found. There is a river running through the jungle. We ended up at the top of a waterfall. From here, the Filipinos have piped water into their homes. Free water from the mountain river. Next to the river we saw a spring. The water was clear and we decided to give it a try. A local confirmed that it is drinkable. There are a lot of tropical plants and flowers around us. Very unusual and beautiful flowers in the jungle. We had a great time in the rainforest and returned home on our motorcycle. The next day my wife made delicious muffins in our new oven. They turned out just like they did in the bakery. Very beautiful and delicious.

I think you should carry a bolo knife or a stick to protect you against snakes or predators… you need to be able to protect yourselves. Be safe!

Darlene/Boris please be very careful in drinking the water. You never know what bacteria/parasites might be in it. It’s still safe to filter it before trying it. Please use caution and take care of your body always 🥰🇨🇦

Never drink from an stagnant water source, if you must only from a clear moving body of water

I agree don’t drink from water sources like that. It would be very easy to either boil that water and then cool it down or run it through a filter. There’s a brand of filter called a Sawyer mini that is perfect for drinking from water sources like that.
The Sawyer mini actually threads onto a plastic bottle you fill up the plastic bottle and squeeze some water through the filter to purge the filter and then drink as much as you want from the filter. Then after several uses, you can backwash the filter by pushing freshwater in reverse through the filter .
A friend of mine drank from spring in Cuba and got a parasite almost killed him.
I was also told that there’s not very many places in this world that you can drink from wild source to dangerous. Dangerous to even chance.
You cannot tell if the water is pure by just taste alone.
The fruit that you picked is still not ripe. The color is golden yellow if it's ripe.

I think it’s just natural to be excited like them on little new things they have or encounter. They started from scratch living a life on their own. So I think it’s just natural as we are too when we started everything new. .

Boris does a great job of taking photos with his camera, the path that you have taken is isolated and there is hardly nobody around but the foliage is very green with a wild Bird of paradise flowers. Someone had advised for you to bring a stick used by trekkers for protection. I think that it can be USEFUL 🎉🎉🎉😂😂
trekking stick and a pocket knife (foldable) is a must since you like hiking or going to remote areas.
Be very careful parking and leaving your motorcycle 🏍 Anywhere, especially leaving it parked unattended. There are thieves everywhere!!!! Never be too trusting! Don't leave anything valuable in the box at all! ❤❤

The area looks awesome with lots of natures beauty. One particular nature that really catches my attention is the reddish flowery (oh yah! "birds of paradise") ornamental plant. It reminds me of my younger days because my Mom and Aunt used to have this ornamental plants in their gardens. I'm glad locals don't pillage the beauty of the surrounding natures.

you remove the hard skin and the fruit is white and it tastes sour and sweet. masarap iyan. you ask the local folks. i could be wrong. tawag sa amin "kalapi".
