I love every response given to each question. Pharisees and scribes often came to Jesus with questions, to test him or set him up, but He never gave a yes/no answer. Jesus often gave them references, parables, stories or reply them with another question and let them do the thinking for themselves.

      He’s a theologian and not a historian.
You can’t be seriously doing theology and pretend to be doing history. They are not completely compatible. No one can mix water with oil.
History is what happened in the past and when historians use the word history, they are using it to try and establish what happened in the past, with empirical and archaeological evidences.
What historians tend to say also is that you can’t use religious arguments to prove historical arguments. With religion, all you have is belief arguments and faith arguments.
Just like you can’t use mathematical arguments to prove or argue for philosophy. They are different realms of discourse. Theology and history are different realms of discourse.
If you pretend you are doing history and in fact you are doing theology makes you disingenuous.
And you doing theology by trying to convince people with big grammars because they don’t know much about the subject also makes you a dishonest individual.
To claim something is historical requires a critical evaluation of all the sources of information presented to us so we can be able to determine or establish the level of probability of what being said to be true or false.
Anyone who totally believes in Abel doesn’t understand how history and theology work.

The contradictions pointed are majorly in figures not in the incident and message content, like Dr Abel affirmed when people as humans writes as secondary authors in different ages or generation on the same thing as humans there is likely to be contradictions but the content of their messages is what matters, even for me iam not sure of my exact birthday because i have two different dates from different sources but the bottom line is that i was born in that year in the course of our narration on stories there may likely be contradictions that is what makes us human. The BIBLE is the word of GOD and inspired by the Holy Spirit and written by mortar men like us. The central message of the Bible is the Redemption plan of God for mankind which was anchored on JESUS CHRIST our Lord and saviour. Matthew 1:21

greetings to all beloved in the Lord. I am not Togolese but I am a man of God. When he says there are errors, he is right. These are translation errors in reality. The fact of translating one language into another has caused certain words or expressions to change the nature of the sentence, resulting in an erroneous interpretation. In John 15:2 it is written . Already the term removed or subtracted causes confusion since it implies cutting. Now the Greek word used is "Airo" which means to raise or lift from the ground.... Just to say that any branch which is attached to the vine but which has fallen or is on the ground will be lifted... it is the idea of mercy and grace that is conveyed there. So every child of God who, despite being in Christ and falls, the Lord comes to his aid... But this verse is used by preachers to speak of hell... What can we say about verse 6 of the same chapter. I didn't come to teach but let's know there is a translation problem. There are plenty of verses but I'll leave it there. this is also why some preachers check the Greek terms most often... Thank you and let us be blessed

Where is the evidence that Jesus said this?
Let’s throw in some historical curveballs and methods of questioning any source of information or data.
Did Jesus really said these things?
If Jesus said this truly in John, was the writer following Jesus around taking notes 🗒️?
For how long did the writer follow Jesus around with notepads 🗒️ collecting all the sayings of Jesus.
Do we have these words in the other gospels?
What we know is that the writer heard stories about Jesus and tried writing them down. What we do know is that all the 12 disciples were illiterates.
All we have historically is that none of the writers of the gospels ever met Jesus. None of them ever witnessed his ministry.
None of the writers ever mentioned their names nor said anything regarding seeing Jesus.
Their descriptions of events were written in the third person.
As far as we know, Jesus’ apostles never wrote any books, which is not surprising if they were illiterate fishermen from Galilee.
To some extent the Acts of the Apostles can be looked at as a source of reliable record, it says (Acts 4:13) that both Peter and John were “unlearned” (ie illiterate).
Besides many of the events recorded in the Acts of the Apostle contradicted many events Paul wrote in some of his letters.
What we also have historically is that the Church Fathers of the second century attributed two of the four gospels to the apostles Matthew and John, which required them not only to be literate, but because they were very quite fluent in writing Koine Greek, which would not be the language the real apostles might even have spoken in their ordinary lives. The followers of Jesus were Aramaic speaking Jews from the Rural area of Galilee.
The apostle Peter and how important he was in the Jesus story did not write any of the gospels or been one of New Testament authors, but what we have is that two epistles were written pseudepigraphically in his name.
For some reason, a book was written in the name of Jude, although it carelessly indicates that it was written long after the time of the apostles.
Other books written in the names of various disciples have been rejected as spurious.

Thank you for sharing your belief that the Bible is without error. I appreciate your perspective and would like to respectfully explain why many scholars and theologians acknowledge that the Bible contains various types of errors and inconsistencies. These do not necessarily undermine its spiritual significance but reflect its human authorship, historical transmission, and interpretation over centuries.
      1. Historical errors:
Some events in the Bible conflict with archaeological or historical evidence.
      Examples:
The Census at Jesus’ Birth (Luke 2:1-2): Luke claims a census occurred under Quirinius while Herod was king, but historical records show Quirinius governed Syria years after Herod’s death.
Daniel and Belshazzar (Daniel 5): Belshazzar is described as king of Babylon, but historical evidence shows he was a crown prince under Nabonidus.
      2. Scientific Errors:
Descriptions in the Bible sometimes conflict with modern scientific understanding.
      Examples:
Genesis 1: The sequence of creation (e.g., light before the sun) contradicts astrophysics. This is because the sun gives us light. The sun gives the moon it's light as well.
Leviticus 11:6: Hares (Rabbits) are described as chewing cud, which they do not biologically.
Firmament (Genesis 1:6-8): The Bible describes a solid dome ("firmament") separating waters above and below, which is inconsistent with modern cosmology.
      3. Contradictions:
Certain passages appear to conflict with each other.
      Examples:
Abiathar vs. Ahimelek (Mark 2:26 vs. 1 Samuel 21:1-6):
Mark 2:26: Jesus says David ate consecrated bread “in the days of Abiathar the high priest.”
1 Samuel 21:1-6: The priest at the time was Ahimelek, not Abiathar.
Would Jesus make this kind of mistake? You still don't think this is an error?
      Judas’ Death:
      Matthew 27:5: Judas hangs himself.
Acts 1:18: Judas falls headlong, and his body bursts open.
      Who Purchased the Field:
Matthew 27:6-7: The chief priests use Judas’ silver to buy the "Field of Blood."
Acts 1:18: Judas is described as buying the field himself.
      4. Unfulfilled or Confusing Prophecies:
Some prophecies in the Bible appear unfulfilled or open to interpretation.
      Examples:
The Prophecy About Tyre (Ezekiel 26:7-14): Ezekiel predicts Nebuchadnezzar will destroy Tyre, but historical evidence shows Tyre was not destroyed by him.
Jesus’ Prediction of the End (Matthew 24:34, Mark 9:1):
Mark 9:1: “Truly I tell you, some who are standing here will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God come with power.”
      5. Numerical Errors:
      Discrepancies in numbers across accounts.
      Examples:
      The Census:
2 Samuel 24:9: Reports 800,000 men in Israel and 500,000 in Judah.
1 Chronicles 21:5: Reports 1,100,000 men in Israel and 470,000 in Judah.
      Solomon’s Stalls:
1 Kings 4:26: Solomon is said to have 40,000 stalls of horses.
2 Chronicles 9:25: Solomon is said to have 4,000 stalls.
      6. Ethical Issues:
The Bible sometimes reflects cultural norms that conflict with modern values.
      Examples:
      Slavery:
Leviticus 25:44-46: Permits owning slaves from other nations.
Other verses also allow owning of slaves from within the nation of Israel.
Galatians 3:28 Emphasizes equality in Christ, stating, “There is neither slave nor free.”
Luke 17:7-10: Jesus himself uses an example of a servant (slave) in a parable but does not condemn the institution of slavery.
So, is this not an error that God would approve of slavery? Did he create some people lower to/than the others? You don't think this is an opinion of man that God endorses slavery?
      7. Translation Issues:
Errors arising from translation choices or differences in manuscripts.
      Example:
Isaiah 7:14: The Hebrew word "almah" (young woman) is translated as "virgin" in the Septuagint, influencing Christian theology.
These examples highlight the complexities of interpreting the Bible. Recognizing errors or inconsistencies invites us to approach it with both faith and reason, understanding its human context.
I hope this helps clarify my perspective.

@householdoffaithtv7185 Read 1 John 5:7-8 KJV and NLT versions and you will realize you don't have to believe everything you read in the bible as some of the version of the Bible have been corrupted. King James corrupted the verses I dropped here in order to back up his claim that the Bible talks about the doctrine of Trinity. Do you know of the other multiple bible verses that have been corrupted over the last 3000 years? That's why the earliest manuscripts help. The earliest manuscripts revealed the atrocities committed by King James in the KJV version.

The message of the bible is authentic and infallible however, It has not claimed accuracy with every single text in it. For instance there is a confirmation that Jesus appeared to them from both authors but the details varied. Until we find out that the bible is claiming infallibility with text, we will acquit it on trial in the court of law on the base of singularity of one message. Thank you

He is not even answering the questions. The interview seems to be set up by Dr Abel. So many questions he wasn’t answering. You can’t explain errors out the way he did. I am also an author. If there is an error in my book, I can’t blame it on the mind of the reader. A verse of the 42 years and another said 22 years and now you want to give spiritual meaning to that? If the book is all correct, it really doesn’t need anyone to explain it.
What is the measuring rod to determine what book made it into the bible? The people that determined the measuring rod were not even believers in Christ. They were pagans who were trying to form a one religion to rule their empire and conquered territories with. Therefore they hid what was going to liberate humanity and doctored the whole document. How you see the bible all point to the man Jesus was all cooked up, it wasn’t a divine arrangement. Dr Abel shouldn’t make that sound like it’s a spiritual or divine thing. Saying “40 authors who never met each other “.
The council of Nacia who cooked up the canonised bible was put together by the then emperor of Rome who had an agenda that had nothing to do with God. That can be seen in the way the Roman Catholic run their show. It’s all about religion and has nothing to do with God. Religion as we know it is nothing but a means of control and accusations of wealth. King James seeing how powerful the Roman Empire had become using the instruments of religion and the bible further edited the bible to also suit his own agenda. With all due respect, Dr Abel Damina didn’t do justice to those questions asked. The interviewer also couldn’t take it further by demanding answers. It all looked like arrangee stuff. You heard the interviewer say he personally believed in the authenticity of the bible. That surely gave him away and let me know it is arranged. It is not only Christian that clams that they have peace with God , all religions claim the same. Even Islam. So Christian can’t lay claim to peace with God.
    I come in peace.🙏

If you notice, everything Christian has a pagan undertone. Christmas, Easters, Sunday etc. The truth of it is that Christianity has nothing to do with Christ. It is purely a religion created by the Romans to create dominate the rest of the people and accumulate wealth. That is you see that the Vatican 🇻🇦 is single-handedly the richest organisation in the world. The same system is replicated in the Christian church today. The pastor is rich and 80% of the church is put yet they are the ones that contributed to make the pastor rich. That is evil any which way you look at it. It inhumane and that is what Christianity is about from it’s foundation. It is a system and it is unfortunate that even the practitioners of the faith are not aware that they are in a system created to subjugate the rest of the people. Questions need to be asked but it is unfortunate that the moment anyone begins to ask questions Christian and the leaders of the religions are uncomfortable. Christianity thrives on the ignorance of the people. It is the system of religion, that’s how religion works. It needs you to just accept its tenates, no questions asked. They words like believe, faith destiny to dominate the place of reasoning. It is canality to use your mind (brain). So what is your God given mind for?
I personally love Dr Abel Damina but the truth be told , he doesn’t have answers to so many things as far as Christianity is concerned.
As long as your only source of knowledge is a book that was written by people that have evil agenda, that book cannot be trusted and therefore can ultimately not represent the voice of God to humanity. There are good stuff in the bible don’t get me wrong but the bible is not the express word of God to man. The bible is documented stories and history of people that lived on this planet. The story overtime had been altered, things were changed, added and removed from it. I come in peace 🙏

Errors that are blatant now lies in the eyes of the reader? 😂😂😂 Is that supposed to be a joke? So now it’s the reader's perspective that defines the error? Wow, what an explanation. And then he claimed the authors didn’t see each other. Let’s assume some didn’t, but didn’t they read each other's work? Have you thought of that? I mean, some scriptures reference other scriptures, indicating they were aware of other passages. Some authors were very knowledgeable about the Torah, which allowed them to reference it in their writings. The assertion that they didn't see each other, and therefore it must be divinely inspired, is a weak argument. Smart way to evade the question.

    • @thethinking-agnostic7130
      @thethinking-agnostic7130 5 місяців тому

When historians use the word history, they don’t assume or presuppose.
When historians want to establish what happened in the past, all they have to do is to employ historical analysis to critically evaluate all the sources of information available to them.
All the books we have written as recorded Jewish scriptures were written centuries apart. They were written by people who never knew nor met each other.
The books were written at different places within the empire and at different times. The books were also written by the authors for their own specific audiences and also for specific reasons.
Most of these books have gone through multiple editing and through many theological changes.
For example, the book of Isaiah as people are aware of is just one book. But it’s now well known in all academia and divinity schools that the book was written by three different authors and were written many centuries apart.
In other words, history is not about making assumptions. History is what happened in the past and it’s about what we can establish that happened in the past.
To be able to establish what happened in the past, we have to critically examine all the sources of information available to us to determine what really happened.
We can’t use religious or theological arguments to prove historical arguments. They are two different realms of discourse.

This man talks loads of nonsense.
Please stop listening to this nonsense this man is saying. He uses big English words to make him believable.
The first person we know in history that chose the books we have in the New Testament is Athanasius The Bishop of Alexandria in Egypt.
Anyone can look up the name and compare it to this man’s claims.
Also, the first Christian theologian to first create a canon of the Christian bible is French church father Marcion of Synope. He had 1 of the gospel that we now have as Luke’s and 10 letters of Paul.
Anyone can look up the history of this man and his teachings plus his theology and the differences he taught his followers between the god of the Hebrew Bible and the god of Jesus.
Jesus if existed didn’t leave any writing for his followers.
Besides, none of the writers of the gospels ever claimed to have met Jesus nor were eyewitnesses. All we have are just church traditions and stories.
That’s why you will have it written on the pages of the gospels like for example “the gospel according to so and so”. The writers didn’t give their names nor signed the stories.
The names given to the gospels were pinned on the books by the early church fathers to make followers believe in the stories and to help make the books authoritative.
Besides, when you do a synopsis analysis of the 4 gospels, you will realise that some of the writers copied from each other words for words with theological changes in different places.
And that’s why there are loads of contradictions and discrepancies in the stories.
All we have are traditions that were left behind by the dominant Christian group who later chose the 66 books that became the Christian bible.
Many other books were burnt and destroyed by the dominant group that we now know as the Orthodox.
Orthodox means we have the right belief and Heresy means wrong beliefs. Those who had the power and money to influence the decision of the empire later became the Orthodox group and for example the Roman Catholic Church.
