For my sewing kit I spent a few extra dollars and got a pack of needles that are pre threaded. I don’t know if you remember how difficult it is to push a thread thru the eye of a needle, even with the little tool, but imagine trying this in the woods when it’s dark and you are stressed. Same goes for ,my fishing kit. Buy hooks that are snelled. Sure beats the hell out of tying every tiny hook to a line when you are tired and hungry.
Would your older kids be able to tote a small backpack with a Lifestraw water bottle, some comfort snacks, and some small fidget/stuffed type toys? Maybe a change of clothes? My older two are 8 & 9 so they have their own bags customized to them. My three year old also has a backpack, but his is just snacks and things to keep him busy and out of trouble.
Hey hey. Yup my older kiddos have bug out bags. I've done videos on them in the past. I keep clothes in their bags and in my truck. Mainly because they grow and I don't want clothes in the main pack that I'll be swapping out constantly.
MERCH. Don’t forget some dollar store single use super glue. From fixing equipment to first aid superglue and gorilla tape will take care of a lot of stuff.
I'm mixed on whether or not to add a toy or two or something for the little one. On the one hand, thats extra space and weight used, on the other hand, it's arguably a very important item for morale for the little one.
@MarineX I know this subject is frowned upon on this app, and I don't want to get you into any trouble, but I was hoping you would be able to provide me with some advice. I was debating on getting the Springfield Armery Hellcat. Have you had any experience with this model? I was looking at getting the base budget friendly model. If you can't answer, I totally understand.
Quite a few needlessly heavy items. A few items that shouldn’t be included. As an ER physician since the late 90’s you can throw that snake bite kit away. There is not one “snake bite” kit that has been shown to be effective at removing venom from any animal bite or sting (snakes, scorpions, wasps, bees, fire ants, etc). Even the most basic research will reveal their ineffectiveness. Any story of success will be just that a “story”. Your video is nicely done though and gives people plenty of ideas for their own bag. Cheers
People won't think you're crazy when it hits the fan and they're standing in front of it! Love the videos.
Wildfires are big where I'm at.. and the only reason I would need to bug out. Thx X.
Social claps: am I a joke to you?

Convoy L21b Sft40 flashlight would be better on rechargeable 21700s
Plenty of other flashlights that double as a power bank with 21700s like the sofrin q8 plus
Thank you
Thank you
"MERCH" I got some great ideas from this, appreciate it 💪🏾

Thanks much! And I’d rather have the kit and have it not work, but cause no additional harm, versus not have it at all

If this is the only bag you will be carrying you might want to consider adding a menstrual cup for your wife.
