This DIY cement desktop fountain is easy to make and requires only a few supplies. By following our steps, you'll be able to create your own cement desktop fountain in no time! So take a look and let us know what you think! N°42
✅ TOOLS & MATERIALS
▪ Submersible Water Pump
▪ Sculpting Tools Kit
▪ Stainless Steel Palette Knife
*** Supplies:
Detergent Bottle
PVC Tube (for pump) : Lenght 25cm, Inlet Diameter : 6mm
Cement: Ordinary Portland
Sand
Gauze Wrap: You can use also a "Cheesecloth"
Metallic Grid
Metallic Wire
Aluminum foil

NB: The white fabric is: "Gauze Bandage". You can use also a "Cheesecloth"
*** The mix of cement contains:
2 cups Ordinary Portland Cement
+ 1 cup Sand
+ Water

Note: To avoid cracks, while the concrete project is drying, be careful not to expose it to the sun. It is better to cover it with a cloth to slow down the drying.
NB : The white fabric is : "Gauze Wrap". You can use also a "Cheese Cloth"
I learned that the hard way. I made a model house and it dried too quickly, cracked everywhere. Took me ages to repair it 🙄

Thanks for sharing, Darling! I want a fountain for my garden but they are quite expensive. Next summer I'm going to be very busy. The only suggestion I have is that it would be nice if you named all the materials and colors and to explain a bit each step even if is only with subtitles instead of voice to make it more easy the tutorial. Besides that I think is perfect.
Thanks for your suggestions. About the colors used, generally I make mixtures of acrylic colors to arrive at the good color sought, it is for this reason I do not give the reference of the colors.

So wonderful my husband gets so upset about me recycling bowls and jars but, now he is going to be fit to be tied over this. Bowls from stuff you buy makes great storage containers. And glass jars make great canning jars or even odds and ins for stuff. My motto is why buy when you can recycle. He tells me that I cost him less than any woman he has ever had before in his entire life. Well, there is a reason for that recycle what you can and when you can't look for clearance sales for clothing and such.

After the initial cement foundation, what did you use for sculpting? More cement? Could you please give the ratios? Thanks
The mix of cement contain :

The difference between the 1st and 2nd coat is only the quantity of water.. the 2nd is more less water

كيف لا يتأثر الاسمنت والالوان الاكريلك بالماء ؟
سؤالك في محله،الاسمنت لوحده يتشقق طال الزمن اوقصر،لذا وجب خلطه بالرمل الناعم،النتيجة ستكون مذهلة،اما الاكرليك فلا خوف عليه لانه اصلا من البلاستيك. حظ موفق.
الخلطة فيها إسمنت و رمل و ماء و هذه الخلطة تقاوم الماء .. الأكريليك مقاوم للماء و إذا أظفت الفارنيش أحسن أيضا
