I'm ashamed to admit I wasn't really aware of Dave until he recently came on Rogan, to set him straight on gaza and his previous guest who convinced Rogan that Israel was justified in its violence. Then, about a week later he famously destroyed Cuomo on Valuetainment. Now I'm obsessed with him.

@@timothylandess1035 I think he's a living god. I want to follow him, and worship him, and touch the hem of his garment. And I was impressed with his brave conclusion that climate change probably isn't real. Considering how the establishment exaggerated and blundered the covid response, why should you ever trust them? And his insight about humanity's natural propensity for status seeking and consolidating their advantages was breathtaking it its depth and searing honesty.

I never really cared for Stephen Colbert.
I thought he was a one trick pony.
Wheel him out for the sabotage interview

Stephen Colbert has had a long career, but his legacy will come down to one image in our heads.... him dancing with syringes. In an era where so many odd things happened surrounding covid, his dance skit singularly summarizes the propagandistic nature and the absurdity of it all.

What makes him unique is the speech he delivered at the White House Correspondents dinner, in front of little Bush. He showed--even if only for a brief moment--what people in the media can and should do to authority figures.

Are you really propping up Stephen Colbert as a symbol of standing up to authority? He only stood up to Bush because Bush is a republican. Colbert is a democrat establishment spokesperson. If you only stand up to authority when a certain party is in power, you aren't anti authority, you are partisan. Colbert cucked for Obama, and now he is cucking for Biden. Don't be so easily fooled.

Found Glenn exposing the vast crimes of Dubya. When I realized I'd been hoodwinked by Obushma, I stayed with the intellectually consistent, as the anti-war activitists and civil-libertarians disappeared into their cognitive dissonance. The transformation was so thoroughly complete that the Dems nominated a Neocon in 2016!
Dr. Paul showed me that he epitomized more of those SAME values I'd always possessed. And furthermore, the banal Red Team talking points weren't all hypocritical, with someone who earnestly practiced them.
The principled people didn't change; the fickle masses did.

I think “prestige” media is a more accurate term. I don’t think organizations like the associated press, PBS, or Harvard qualify as corporate. They are all semi prestigious institutions that all seem to act this way.

Their is nothing wrong with being successful, the problem is that what's considered "successful" now has been captured by corporate interests. Talent, Intelligence, Skill, Ability etc. Will naturally be scarce and naturally rise in Rank under a Merit based Culture and Institutions. But in a Monopoly based corporate captured culture they only promote, hire, reward, push etc. People, Information and Behavior that benefits them only, No exceptions.
Never before in History has it been more obvious that being called an ism and phobe is actually a badge of honor, the people in the mainstream are either naive about why they are where they are, and considered it a combination of hard work and luck, or they are either overly confident that they are narcissistically self centered that they are the next messiah. None of them realize they have selected and artificially elevated because they benefit the powers that hoist them up.

Comedy Central used to be an amazing channel for stand up comedy.
I remember vividly after 9/11 the amount of off the wall Muslim jokes by black comedians, it was one of the greatest periods a then 13 year old could find relief in.
