I started writing in 7th grade. My middle school music class did a project on how music was related to art and I decided to choose graffiti as my category to do my project on. My grandma took me to a local train yard so I could snap some pics of graffiti to use for my project. I fell in love and started practicing my own pieces in my free time. I remember finding an ArtCrimes website and it showed tons of different writers. One of the first guys I looked up to was Ichabod because I was so fascinated with how many different pieces he had. The full cars have always blown my mind. Here we are 16 years later and almost daily my son and I go benching together. Its always nice seeing an Ich piece pass by as it reminds me of my beginning years! Huge respect to the LEGEND!
Growing up in Stockton I lived right next to the railroad tracks where they'd park the cars and I remember seeing ich quite often along with many others.
I've caught around 2-hundred Ichs in the last 3-years here in Georgia, from small monikers to full autoracks. Makes my day to be able to catch one (or more) with the trusty Nikon.
He is hands down top 3 in my book. No question. Amazing job “documenting” his work. He did the no jumper interview and said over 6,000 trains. WOW! Would be an honor to meet him. Even an autograph would just be the greatest thing ever! Hope he paints another 6000 trains
Awesome production and dedication to your craft. As a bencher, I appreciate the effort it took to get this much material and then put it together. Seen ICH for years and lots of catches here on the West Coast. North America has some incredible Writers and the volume of their work is almost unimaginable considering what it takes to put up these great pieces. Peace!
Out of every 4 times I go out, anywhere between 4-6 hours, and I see maybe one or two ICH pieces..... I'm in SoCal, and it's frustrating. One rolls by and I get like 3-4 flicks and it's the f-ing holy grail of the day. Also looking out for Troll Slayers, Ian Moon, Roek, Jaber, Beazy, Rade, Habanero, Duel, & Boog on wholecars, 125, etc.....
Caught a full car Neckface years back in nw indiana that was just a big weird hand and his name signed in it to the side. Seemed rare but I'm not as close to the bench as I used to be so exposure is limited.
@@alen-commentnazi8774 because I document every piece of graffiti that is worth documenting. Been doing that for 25 years now. Just as long as he been in a game I have a lot of hard copies of ICH from 2000
