They actually don't destroy the costume. They have several replicas that they have their actor change into as needed, scene-by-scene that makes it look like it was destroyed.
Wish I could double like for how well this was made, alot of people cant get the right jawline shape of the mask and you got that and everything else pretty spot on. Well done!
