Pretty much the same training if not lower the mileage you would do for an 800m runner and implement more speed work. I myself am 400hurdler and training is similar with 450 550 and 600 training sessions mixed with hurdle tech stuff. You just have to find the right program for your specific needs as well.
@@natevalencia3874I agree incorporate more speed work and start training that weaker hurdle leg ASAP so you can alternate efficiently or chop down a stride due to fatigue in race
Same as these other comments, incorporate at least one speed day (30m-150m max effort) and decrease milage. I wouldn’t run more than 20miles a week. once outdoor hits I would always have a day that I ran 200/300s over hurdles race pace
Love the dive across the finish line 😂
I Met Cass last year at APU Last Chance, he is just a chill guy.
Just hanging out 😃
Nice comparison. How do you decide on 800 v. hurdles in racing and training emphasis?
Basically 100% locked in on 800 rn but I wouldn’t mind running both once I get better at the 800
Any thoughts to doing this commentary topless? Asking for a friend

😂
any tips for a 800m guy switching to the 400mh?

@@Cass-Elliott could you please do videos on 400m hurdle tips and analysis
There is a lot of poetential bc you ran about 50.0 than closed in at about 55.5 at the Holloway pro classic.
Hopefully gonna get fit enough to lower that second lap!
