    I think back a few years ago when we looked at a van set up for off grid living. It had solar and five car batteries and was fairly limited in what you could run. The progress has neen amazing.

    Great system. I hope they develop the pack power connectors to 90 degree low profile ones specically designed for a stacked install. Impressive though.

    Very good video, again and well demo'ed. I have the Ecoflow Delta Max 2k, which at 22kg I thought was fairly heavy, but your 'mini me' expansion is much smaller than my equivalent (which I have not needed, yet). These batteries are great for on the move, off grid or even for garden events. By the way, you unintentionally cracked a pun, when you said 'the app tells you Watt is going on' 🤣

    Do the inverter and extra batteries charge at the same time when you plug the system into the grid to charge ?????????
    No one can answer me 😢

    Not a bad unit. Will happily power a tumble dryer. But could do with a bigger mppt. To take 2000 watts of solar

    Very good review, Unfortunately my AC200Max + B230 is not synchronous. What do you think is the problem?

      Ours did that for a bit but seems to be back in sync again now so maybe just run a few more cycles of them plugged in together

    Do they offer a shorter cable to link to the additional battery?

    • @ABusAndBeyond

      I don’t think they do. I think it’s the same cable so if you had two additional batteries the run between the two devices would be longer

    If the electricity in the house goes out for whatever reason and it's cloudy outside then the power station is only going to charge your camping fridge, tv and fan for about an hour right? I don't think I want to drag that heavy battery out to my car to charge it there, even if it is sunny outside where I live we have shared backyards and I'm sure my solar panels would disappear in no time at all lol so I don't think this is for me.

    • @ABusAndBeyond
      @ABusAndBeyond  Рік тому +1

      It runs our Camping fridge for over a week. TVs and fans are very low power users so it would last for a few days running all those items continuously

    Just a couple of points you cannot actually use all 2048Wh there will be some losses to the inverter and the battery cannot go to 0% probably 1650 to 1700 is realistic. Also if you are charging wireless there will be additional losses so closer to 75-80 hours for the iPhone at 15W. These conditions apply to all power stations so still fair to use the topline figure for comparison.

    This is a bit disappointing news that you can only run a fryer for 1 hour. This thing cost $2,000 here in Canada and it seems like I could only cook a single breakfast with this and I just bought one. I thought there was more power than that.

    • @DD-co1zn
      @DD-co1zn Рік тому

      It's not the batteries fault, it's just that type of heating/cooking method is wildly power hungry. You should look into the Instant Pot. The 3l basic one is 700w peak (just to get to temp, then it drops massively to maintain), while the full & XL sizes are 1500w peak. There are many ways to cook with these devices. Lots of UA-cam recipes and reviews showing what's possible. Instant Pot also make an Air Fryer lid for their pots, so you can cook a chicken - for example - in the pressure cooker on low power, and then use the air fryer lid for the last 15 mins or so to make the skin crispy.

      @Paul-pb3vq Рік тому

      It takes you an hour to cook breakfast blimey you must cremate you're food.
      I could cook a full English breakfast in quarter of that time.
      Air fryers are very economical on power.
      And an low wattage induction hob. Sorted.
      This will power my caravan easy for wild camping

    That was more a list of features than a review
    Isn't it strange that when items are provided for review to any UA-cam channel it is rare for any criticism of the items to be offered
    If you had to pay for the items "reviewed" would you buy them ?

If they buy it then yes i will listen let em spend £500 plus on a power bank without the solar panel!!!!!! working on the van in you drive way NICE good use. Agreed. The set up shown is currently just under £4k in total on the manufacturers website, the two boxes plus solar panels. How's that compare in functionality, space taken up, weight, and price, to a lithium battery off grid set up currently available for camper vans?

      @@simontree317 How do I know whether I like it unless I watch it ?
      The title of the video say that it is a review but it is nothing of the sort. I expected to find out whether the products were worth buying and especially whether they behaved as advertised. Instead what I got las a list of features
      I would have been more impressed if the products had been used over a period of time in real situations but as it was I could have found out everything that was said from the manufacturers website. I am willing to bet that in the real world the products do not perform as well as advertised in this video unless used in perfect conditions but I will probably never know
      As a result of this video I have unsubscribed from this channel

      I have watched quite few videos on this channel and I think there are a lot that contain gifts from these companies so I can't see anything negative being said which is a shame really.
      I can't help thinking they would have more subscribers if they didn't promote the thousands of pounds worth of kit they receive.
      I'm sure I will be classed as a hater but it's just an honest opinion as a viewer.

    What do you get out of promoting the bluetti, the last video I watched you we’re installing a battery system to your van………… what has changed?

    • @ABusAndBeyond
      @ABusAndBeyond  Рік тому

      Nothing has changed. We got in touch with Bluetti way back before we had installed the electrics and knew it would be great for the interim period but also knew that it would allow us to expand our off grid capabilities in the van. If we know we are going to a campsite with electrical hookup we can leave it at home but if we plan to be off grid we can take it with us.
