Talking about “When Wales play the whole country stops”
I used to work in a supermarket and I swear when the rugby is on, there was like 1-2 people in the whole store for the hour or so while the game in on.
It goes dead.
Rugby is everything to the Welsh.
Thanks Cuthby.
I enjoyed this. Good interview.
Great interview!
Just beat the Argies, it’s good to get as many wins as we can under our belt, to breed confidence going forward post WC. Cymru am byth! 🏴
Come on England and Wales are as crap as each other.
They only just beat us who are the worst English side I think I have ever seen.
Revive is a bit much.
Wales have not met anyone with any ability yet. And Fiji should have won the game against you other than adropped balland some seriously one sided officiating.
At least we beat fiji
@@sshee179 Mate I got 8/1 odds of Fiji beating us. That was always going to happen and I can away with a win.
@@tombutcher3021Wales where 17 points up 9 mins to go mate
@@tombutcher3021wahhhhhhhh wahhhhhhhh cry more
Cuthbert giving Morgan Morris a mention. He should be in that Wales squad soon
Who ?
Good interview Alex
I've really enjoyed Alex Cuthbert as a pundit on this and the Scrum V pods- talks a lot of sense. As a Welsh rugby fan, I'm embarrassed at the way he was treated by his own when his form dipped a few years ago
Wales are playing rubbish, they should have won but basically played s**t so get over it !
@@topcats7750 eh?
They are bringing in Kieron Hardy, because of the injury to Anscombe, they need two number 9s and they have been playing Tomos Williams at 10 in training, so they have backup if Anscombe doesn't make it.
I would rather have Hardy at 10 than Williams, especially if you want a controlled performance.
Without Toby ....its going to be tough one of the great No 8s
Comments on this video are so stupid - compare how wales looked in the 6 nations and warm ups to that performance against Australia, that’s a revival and then some, “warrenball” is such a stupid term that no one seems to understand, it refers to a defensive game plan with a crash ball 12, sure they’re still playing low possession defensive rugby but Nick Tompkins is there for his playmaking, and we have some actual interesting attack formation now
The only difference will be if u lose quarter final game the record books will say out in quarter rather than semi ,but the best teams will make the final no matter wat .The way u got look at it is the quarter final is huge more so for France , Ireland, south Africa , new zealand this is there semi final .and for Wales , england, Argentina,Fiji this is a quarter final ,who ever wins with France , Ireland, south Africa, and newzealand will see that final right in front of them well before the semi final kick off unless huge upset .
Jim Jim Jim ….. you just played it terribly . We under the radar and we going to improve moving forward. Never right Wales off
'write' off
The best thing about Wales "RWC renaissance" will be the salt levels of their tears, when reality sinks in come the 6N............... sitting on Italy (if their lucky)
Looking up England's arse.......... again!
Unless the WRU divert even more funds to Matt Carley and the charity of his choice.........
"Ireland won't look forward to playing us" LOL!!! The reality is Ireland didn't look forward to playing you because they were knocked out and were rather looking forward to going home!
Who have they played to say they are revived?
Hold on. No one was giving us a chance of getting out of the pool - even many welsh supporters. I saw some predictions that we’d only beat Portugal.
Now the talk is we were in an easy group and we’ve been lucky with the draw. I guess you can’t win with some people 🤷♂️
Yes but was this revival down to Gatland? Are we "Gatland's Wales" now? Play for your country, not for a Kiwi.
@@BobCratchit-773 You say that like the coach doesn't have a massive impact on a rugby team
@@spaghettibadger647 Not exactly. I want a Welsh coach. PS - Great name!
@@BobCratchit-773can u name a welsh coach? Be grateful gatlands done more for welsh rugby than almost anyone
Seriously? Ireland be concerned of Wales? LOL. Is he on mushrooms?
wales win that game
Ireland will lose eventually. It’s inevitable. They won’t go on a 100 match unbeaten run will they? I’d be surprised if they get to 20 tbh. At some point, they’ll lose a game. At some point, they’ll lose a big game. At some point, they’ll lose to one of the other home nations. Why not Wales in a potential semi final?
Look to be fair, it’s unlikely. We all know that. As Wales fans though, it’s good to see our team win and play with a bit of freedom again. That was missing for so long. The players looked jaded and totally lacked confidence. That seems to have been dispelled now.
Every team will have a minimum requirement, for Ireland it’s probably getting to the final. For Wales, it was getting out of the group.
The Welsh boys will have to believe they can beat anyone. That’s the correct attitude for professionals like them to have. It’s the same for England and every tier 1 nation. At least, it should be. If you don’t think you can win, why bother turning up?
Famous last words and Ireland are known bottlers...too much guiness 😅
We will see. I'l lbe betting big on Ireland once they have dispatched New Zealand.@@jacmatthews9914
@@welshed yeah but I’ll tell you one thing, it’s certainly won’t be against wales that we lose 🤣🤣😊😊😊
Catalyst 😂 Wales will be very happy to play the semifinal saving themselves for the losing prize third place play-off against England!
IF they make it to that point 3rd place is actually an achievement considering wales form in Feb at the six nations!
@@teenageHorrorMan8 I agree but these were men with a noose around their necks not knowing whether they would be able to keep up the mortgage payments. Take them away from the scrutiny for 4 months to do what they most enjoy and you have a happy bunch of boys singing "don't take me home".
Wales was really lucky against Fiji, Georgia put them in trouble for 70 min and they speak like they were France.... Damn this Saturday they gonna crash hard
Nah

Cuthbert not playing is part of the reason Wales are doing well 😊
Revived them by having them in a World Cup pool of 4 tier 2 teams.

@@deselby6669What?
Check the quote source..
He means google it.
As well as having Matt Carley on the payroll!
Wales have still got to play against a good side and then their lack of class will show where they really are in world rugby..
Old Cuthbert giving it ‘the typical welsh fan’ slag. Any other ‘job’ you’d be on the king cole cheeky git and that’s why you aint in the squad lad. remember who’s paying them small wages your on.
Wales was in an easy pool 😂
Gats didn’t have to revive anything
England had the easiest.
All the teams were good except Australia to be honest
England's pool of death 😂😂
Stupid comment.
calm down cuthbert, fiji should have beaten you,. wales were extremely luck
Fiji should have nicked it at the death, but Wales weren't "extremely" lucky. For the majority of that game they had control of the game and the score board.
They lost control at the end. That's it.
If they played Fiji next week, Wales would win convincingly
.
Cuthbert has been stealing international caps his whole career. Can’t believe he’s confused why he was dropped
