Hi George! It's the mod author here. I'm really pleased to see you're playing through the mod, I hope you enjoy it! If you have any questions about anything, feel free to reach out. Looking forward to see you playing through the rest of it :)
Hey, out of curiosity, have you considered adding in the marvelous Meridia’s Champion armor and parts of EQUINOX Temple of Merida into your mod? Both are awesome additions that add some more Meridia accurate things such as spells and weapons/armor. Sorry, big fan of Meridia here.
First of all, I just started playing the mod and it is interesting so far. Well done on all the hard work to get his out. Just a little bit of criticism that I have encountered so far. Twice now I have encountered instances were you are given three options and the middle (more neutral) option is ignored and forces you into a binary choice. I say binary because they are clearly morally good vs morally bad choices. I generally think it is just bad to give players the illusion of a choice or just ignore player input. Why give me a middle option if you are just going to ignore it? In this mod it is usually, "Oh yes, anyway..." and now you have to choose one of the other options. Just something to consider.
@@eyesack6845 And only if you make a specific choice during that quest. The reason I've never seen it is I always bring back the sapling instead of the sap.
Oh btw, dunno if you caught it... on the table downstairs is a letter from Danica in Whiterun to them. Just flavor text stuff, but kind of a cool tie-in to what one of those characters was talking about.
And she has the audacity to call YOU chatty! The very nerve of Marith! 🤣😂 Oh Ardwen! Yeah her and her puppers have been hanging out in Whiterun for about a year now in my current timeline. I have no idea where she came from.
I hope this mod isn't just "Meridia the BIG GOOD" and actually delves into some of the shady and morally ambiguous parts of her character. Ya know, like Umaril, the Purified, the whole hating free will thing...
@@justsomeyoutuber222because it's more believable and interesting plus stories are usually about the generic good vs evil it's been done billions of times already.
She also was real big into the cruel, evil, slaving ayleids. She also likes to wipe people of free will and make them mindless slaves herself. Not really the most non-evil look.
Downloaded this mod a couple of days ago. haven't done anything with it yet. Meridia's new voices sound good. also have you downloaded the Armore Patch yet?
I never saw the Paladin --- got fed-up waiting --- went to the Shrine and saw a new thing on my compass >>> I did bring DawnBreaker --- nothing was said. "Talk to everyone..." as he walks past the pale chap in the tent. I sneak shot the Necro... No trouble from the guards
oh my divines THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING THE MAGNA-GE LORE. I've been telling this to people for so long. Meridia isn't a deadra! She's an emo magna-ge who fell in with the wrong crowd.
There's no real difference between magna-ge and daedra except for one group fled to and live in aetherius while the other dwell in oblivion - they aren't different types of spirit. Since meridia was banished and now dwelled in oblivion, she is a daedra. Simple as that.
@@nephatrine There's little difference spirit-wise between Daedra and the Aedra, by that logic. The Magna-Ge chose to assist in the creation of Mundus, before they realized Lorkhan's trick. When they became aware of the deception, they fled to Aetherius. The Daedra never participated in the first place, meaning they lost no power. Meridia, as a magna-ge, has a deeper connection to the Mundex-Terrene than any other Daedra.
Meridia is very cool, she’s not technically even a Daedra, she was originally an Aedric being, one of the Magna-Ge created by Magnus, known as Merid-Nunda. She was cast out of Aetherius for “consorting with daedra” and created a realm in Oblivion for herself under her own power. She’s like a narcissistic Angel who hates the unholy (or what she deems as unholy) for a real world religious analogy.
You could call them "anuic" if you want to consider the monomyth as having any actual basis in reality, but they're not aedric. The magna ge, daedra, and aedra are all the same type of spirit/creature. Some were tricked by Lorkhan and became Mundus, some fled to aetherius, and some stuck around and set up shop in Oblivion. The ones chilling in Oblivion are daedra and guess what that makes Meridia? Sure, she didn't always but that's true of all the daedra.
ok my question though about this is what if the db is a vampire, but is champion as well when I did the original quest. but if you think about merida could use the vampire to her advantage to kill other undead considering being undead vampling is stronger in restoration magic. I'm vampire but I can kill other undeads like no tomarrow with her restoration magic. in turns she doesn't have worry about being infected or turned like humans do but her main food source is already dead bandits.
Wow, they are whitewashing Meridia quiet a bit. She's a prince of energy and in Dagerfall she was a personification of greed. Stealing energy and objects of mortals. If she was such a hater of undead then she wouldn't have been so worshipped by Ayelids. Besides that, it looks promising, I will check it out when I start my next playthrough.
well that is a thing that tends to happen in tes world and ours, people ignore some aspects and focus on others. Boethia is quite different in the khajiit pantheon compared to the Dunmer's beliefs, Nords used to see Arkay as Orkey a god of orcs and death
I'm hoping it's a thing of they're worshipping an idealized version of Meridia since they're without direct communication with her. And that with direct communication they might go "oh, this isn't what we signed up for."
ah yes mod for merida the one deity all my friends compare me to yet is nothing compared to me. context im anti undead but my hatred of them is so intense my friends love to compare me to merida even tho her hatred of the undead is nothing compared to mine lol
I wonder what would happen if you started this as a vampire... Wouldn't Maridia be an Aedra, not Daedra? Because Aedra are the "good" side while Daedra are the "Evil" side. Here hold this... barely wound them, they run off to cower, the 2nd guy comes and doesn't talk, and starts attacking the 1st. You can kill the first, or walk off, but when the 1st is dead, the 2nd guy proceeds to stand there never approaching you, you can keep whatever item handed to you by the 1st and go sell it for a few more gold.
She's kind-of an Aedra, but not quite; it's complicated. Her original name was Merid-Nunda, she's a Magna Ge, aka a 'Child of Magnus' who make up the stars in the night sky after they tore holes through the veil of Mundus into Aetherius when fleeing the creation of the Orbis. But she was cast down from Aetherius into Oblivion for 'consorting with illicit spectra'. Instead of claiming a pre-existing realm for herself, like the other Daedra; she created one by bending the light of Aetherius into her own realm called 'The Colored Rooms'. TLDR: she's a special little snowflake who's neither a Daedra nor an Aedra, but holds the same level of influence as a Daedric Prince.

I've only been able to play the first hour or so, but it's been a really great experience! Congrats on the launch :)
Congratulations on the launch!

Is it ported on Xbox one
Hi George I'm the voice actor for Valrar, I'm really glad you enjoy the voice acting! On the behalf of the whole voice cast thank you!
Dude your voice acting was amazing I hope to see you (and the rest of the cast) in more Skyrim projects!
I'm impressed by your quality.❤
ANOTHER HAND TOUCHES THE BEACON
can't believe they got morgan freeman to voice initiate velteth
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one to notice! LOL!!
Voice Actor for Velteth here! Hope you enjoyed my voice!! lol
I had to look that ecounter with Ardwen up. It's a vanilla random encounter. I've never seen it before either.
You sure about that? Cause i remember Ardwen being a character from Interesting NPCS.
@@MLPDethDealr32 You're thinking of Ureni.
Woah didn't think there was a random event I hadn't seen
I've seen it before. It only appears after a certain quest, and the quest itself isn't really the most popular, so it makes sense.
@@eyesack6845 And only if you make a specific choice during that quest. The reason I've never seen it is I always bring back the sapling instead of the sap.
I have been waiting for a mod like this for ever now this mod will go well with wintersun
Oh btw, dunno if you caught it... on the table downstairs is a letter from Danica in Whiterun to them. Just flavor text stuff, but kind of a cool tie-in to what one of those characters was talking about.
I might like this mod. Meridia is one of my favorite deadric prince.
Love your content. Keep up the good work.
Ooooh I just started playing through this myself! Looking forward to seeing how similar our choices are.
I haven't had a chance to fully explore this playthrough but it would be interesting to see what the colored rooms look like
It's a pity that the paladins don't have a more unique armor. Other than that, the quest mod looks really interesting.
That’ll come eventually. :)

@keeganwilson9062 Nice to know that according to you pedophiles can be brave heroes, and enslaving people isn't a crime against human rights.
Definitely going to enjoy this series
I still remember Umaril.
So basically good mod to use with Wintersun mod, having Merida as the daedra to worship.
8:30 rp: they had wards and illusion up so non members can see or find it
Looks good. I will have to give it a shot.
I can see Meridia evil in that you 'must' destroy all dark beings even at the cost of your life, it is you divine 'duty.'
She also was real big into the cruel, evil, slaving ayleids. She also likes to wipe people of free will and make them mindless slaves herself. Not really the most non-evil look.
Ardwen...a character I will never meet as she only shows up if you repair the Gildergreen with sap.
Downloaded this mod a couple of days ago. haven't done anything with it yet. Meridia's new voices sound good. also have you downloaded the Armore Patch yet?
I wonder what would happen if we met the first NPC when you have thralls with you cause my main save is a Necromancer lol 😂

I did bring DawnBreaker --- nothing was said.

Wico is such outdated skin tbh. U should try BnP skin it’s much more realistic despite how the front page looks
Yep and with the RSV patch the skins would be diverse.
Granted there is an RBT version as well. :)

Ardwen is from Interesting NPCs. You probably got you still had it installed on that save file.
Nope, Ardwen is from Vanilla Skyrim. She appears after doing the The Blessing of Nature quest.
Never encounter her. Theres one from Interesting NPCs with a similar name.@@SentryBot-vq9tu
Is it just pc?
