It would be cool to get one of those giant balloons on a rubber band from the toy store. The kind you bounce and are swirly in color. That would make a HUGE bowl! LUUV your ideas!

Thanks! I'm kicking myself that I didn't do this one before Christmas bc if I had everyone in my family would have gotten a glitter bowl!!!! Glad you enjoyed the project! xo

Great question! It's pretty sturdy. Especially if you apply a nice amount of your glitter solution, but I would still treat it as if it was glass. Be delicate with it. But it's such a fun little statement piece!

Oh yes! A little jewelry bowl or a fancy catch all of all those keys, change and bobby pins that some how end up in my pockets. Great idea!

tip: to make it more hard and solid use three layers of tissue paper of any color of your choice and then add the glitter. the tissue paper will look nice in the inside and make it more solid and the glitter will look awwwweeesssoooommmmeeeerrrsss!!!!

The bowl is beautiful! use it as an "ACCENT" piece next to bookshelves, on a bathroom for lipsticks, makeup holder, etc
on the entrance to hold your keys, on a nightstand to hold light items...

I really like this one because normal videos on these glitter accent bowls tell you to leave it for a couple of hours until it dries and then they still dry soft and bendy and stuff but the trick here was to leave it OVERNIGHT which is what they didn't do. Definitely gonna try this and maybe put all of my jewellery inside it

When doing things like that it is best to cut a little snip near the tie of the balloon and slowly let the air out so that you don't risk the bowl collapsing

Super cute, but I would just glitter the inside or outside of a glass bowl (depending on what you'd use it for) so that it held up better.

Oh!! I'm thinking of doing that like you did as a first layer, and then maybe repeating it with a second layer of another color, then one color inside, one color outside! Do you think it would work?

Quick tip I learned from these:
If you don’t like the rough edge of the bowl you can just skip off the ragged parts. Just be sure you don’t it diagonal or it will look funny!👍

the reason yours blew up is because you popped it instead of deflating balloon if you pierced it at the top of the balloon were the color of the balloon is darker (where you tied it) and pierce it and let deflate it should come out fine I hope this helps

It started out very cute when it dried but days later it flatten out. I even tried it a second time, I let it dry, then used spray glue thinking it would help hold it into place and it still flatten out.....good idea over all but how do you get it to STAY a bowl

    • @aishwaryamalhotra6749

If you put concrete mix instead of glitter and glue and after it dried just use glue to apply glitter inside as well as out side I think it will stay forever...
