    dude very helpful, i got the faucet up and running in under 10 minutes thanks to you. Watched the video once and put the faucet up so quickly. I love the "quickdock" not having to go under the sink to put things together was a life saver.

    Good in theory but if your Laminate counter top has had some water damage, this clamping system will only further damage the crumbling particle board underneath. At some point when water starts to soften the counter, the faucet will become wobbly.
    I prefer the traditional big Lock ring system

    Just installed a KPF-2631 Oletto. Install went fine, but when I pull the lever towards me, I get hot water. Pushing the lever away (towards the wall) switches to cold! Lines are connected to the correct valves underneath. Could the cartridge be installed incorrectly? If so, how can I fix this?

      That is how my Kraus Bolden faucet operates. If you want to reverse the valve, simply swap your hot and cold water lines around.

    I got Kraus facet after watching this video since I liked the fact that I don't have to go under the sink to tighten up the screws and etc. I was wrong. Same old style where I have to dig under the sink and tighten up the screws and etc. Even the weight for the spray hose needed screws. Not sure if the US gets cheaper version or they cheaped out for the recent models. Very disappointed.

    I bought the KPF-2522sfs from Home Depot over a year ago and just now tried to install it. Everything went well until I turned the water on. Nothing! All the connections are fine and water is reaching the Quick connect mechanism, which is different from the one used in this video, but none from the faucet. The installation manual is not helpful in resolving the issue. The manual said to remove the spray head before turning on the faucet, but there is no way to do that. It seems their is a disconnect between the manual and the spray head, It seems someone had purchased this item before and return it, because I observe water coming out of the hoses after unwrapping from the box. Home Depot re-shelved a returned item.... Just my luck to wait so long to install it and that on a Saturday when customer service is closed....

    You guys really use screened washers there? I've never seen that before.
    Isn't it problematic to have screen there to accumulate deposits there and have to clean them out? Much more user friendly to only need to clean out the aerator at the faucet end. Personally prefer to not have any screening to built up debris anywhere in the fixture...

    • @KrausUSATV
      @KrausUSATV  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Dave,
      we do use screened washers as this can prevent debris from entering the faucet, thus lengthening the life of the faucet itself. The screened washers are removable if you prefer to install the faucet without them. If you do this, be sure to replace them with regular rubber washers, or use Teflon tape on the threads.

    • @davec3651

      @@KrausUSATV Can be hard to find replacement gaskets of the correct size. You should consider including a pair. To reiterate, it just doesn't make much sense... we're always instructed to hook up the water then flush out the lines before use... but how is it going to flush debris out of the lines when the intake valves have these fine mesh screens on them? Just some feedback, it seems curious to me.

    Do not apply teflon when using compression fittings!!! The water lines already have rubber fittings. I’m shocked this guy works for Kraus. The Teflon can get hung on the rubber gasket causing leaks.
