WOOOHOOO!! Very interesting video ,AND the BEST PART is discovering that you are in TUPELO!!!!! No more driving to Memphis!!! See you tomorrow, Monday!!!!
Two things... Chad meant inches of mercury, not pounds. Simple mix up of words. The Lucas mill has a bar attachment that replaces the blade and basically turns it into a huge 30hp chainsaw on rails. We didn't get any footage of it.
I noticed the pounds of mercury and thought, oh surely someone has already commented. I look and it's you, first comment first sentence lol. Great vid!
It's great to see these folks filling a very great need for wood workers. I'm jealous as I can be that I don't have something like that near me. Congratulate them for what they do.
That is an incredibly interesting video. Need to invite him to the city hardwoods meetup in December. I’m going to go visit those guys and check out their operation.
What a great video Jay, I found it very interesting and learned a lot! Thank you. I checked the link for the project packs, but looks like he's all sold out. Hopefully he'll be making more of them in the future.
That was a better-than-TV video, Jay - well done :)

Jay Bates - Woodworking Videos chad is a great guy, lives a few miles from me, maybe we’ll run into each other someday.
This was an awesome production Jay.
Your guest host is a natural on camera. I’ll be curious to see if there’s a slab project or two in your future.

Great, thanks for the video! Will check them out!
Is there a difference, if you dry the wood fast or slow (in weeks or months f.e.)? How reacts the wood?
also ; "Allen, you want to do any chit chattin'?" "Not really. Can't anybody understand me." : ) : ) : )
