Awesome video and I 100% agree to what you say in this video. Here's why: two month ago (just before Corona became severe) I visited my first ever competition. I competed with basically the same cube as you describe in this video: a stickerless Yuxin Little Magic with black internals which I magnetized on my own. I even went one step further. I polished the frosted surface (with polish for aluminium metal) to make it glossy and shiny. Using Ångstrom Dignitas and Gravitas the sound and feeling gets muuuuch better. And I didn't choose this budget cube because I had to. I also chose it over an GTS2M, WR M, a MGC 3 Elite, a Dayan Tengyun,... I 100% agree that you feel a kind of a connection to a cube when you completely set it up yourself and adjust it to your preference.

I never lube my cube or ever take it apart. This magnetic Little Magic is so smooth and click into place to retain its shape that I can never go back to the original non magnetic one. The turning is effortless (may be a bit too effortless at the beginning). Once you get better at solving and want to get faster or have better experience solving, get this one. It's cheap and feels amazing. I have to keep fighting the urge to pick it back up, it's so good. I may want to experience the higher priced cube just for comparison, but I think this is good enough.
I used to main a little magic until recently, and this video made me decide to get one. Best decision of my cubing career. Excellent cube, and the new one is even better.

id like some medium magnets, id like a stickered version,some new stickers (whatever you'd recommend), tighter (ish) tensions and some lubicle silk for lube i also have a more agressive turning style just like you so just do what you can :-) my pb is 26 seconds atm and im pretty much a beginner but i promise that ill do my best to persevere and get better have a great day and peace ✌ ps you're officially my favorite cubing youtuber, keep it up man!!!
I already use a little magic that I have not set up as my main haha, it’s the only 3x3 I am willing to spend money on and I have gone through 3 so far, I make the mistake of getting it from amazon where it is only stickered in my country, anyone who has used a little magic with original stickers knows they don’t last. I would love the same settings as your, It doesn’t bother me, I would love even getting that box of parts, it would be an honor. I started cubing a few days ago with a Rubix cube, then I went on Amazon and bought a stickerless Little Magic, it was such a massive improvement that now when I use beginners method I can get a under 1:00 time
I am using a qiyi thunderclap for years but it never satisfied me, one of my friends bought a yuxin little magic and I didn't love it that much because it was not on default settings but it still felt better than my cube and now as you customised it, it might be the best cube I've ever owned
The ylm 4x4 centre caps have the same centre cap popping issue in my experience, an I’m not even fast at 4x4, I cant imagine how it would be when you turn fast

6:59 Have you tried cotton modding it? By stuffing pieces of cotton balls into each piece, it makes it less hollow and slightly heavier, making it feel a lot less cheap. Tried it on my Meilong M and it worked great, so I assume it'd also work on the YLMM.
Magnets - strongish, tension - medium, Max command in the core, mixture of max fleet and command in the piece( such that the speed is not too fast, not too slow

I just tried to do this. My black cores/center pieces won’t hold the sticker less caps in they fall right out. Did you glue yours after tensioning or did you use the stickerless core/centers with black edges/corners? I might put a very thin even layer of glue on the edges of the stickerless caps and let it dry and see if it make it a tiny bit thicker enough to make it a snug fit. Or try a tiny tiny drop of glue on a small piece of the cap in the corner to hold it in but hopefully be able to be forced back off without too much difficulty if I need to disassemble the cube or adjust the tensions. P.S. this can’t be done with a meilong 3m. The pieces includes the stalks as one piece per side instead of the faces being able to come off the stalks/bottom side like on the yuxin little magic.
Great video as always! If I win I would like mine with light magnets and lubed as you did yours and factory half bright stickers if possible, consider I'm not from the US or Europe. Also with that scratch on your cube it might not be comp legal but I don't know how strict the delegate might be at your competition.
You can remove (or lessen) the mark of the cube by taking out the piece and using a hairdryer, just place it all around the piece and the heat will eventually lessen the mark.
