My vet was strongly saying no on raw diet because of sickness that can be caused from raw meat. I was so worried about kibbles and stuff and spent all day searching for something that I thought would be perfect and found ziwipeak, so glad you said something about it I’ll for sure get it now
My cats eat raw and it cured my one boy of tumors. They also lost weight, they were extremely overweight before. Also their coats are incredible. Everyone always compliments them when they come over. Raw is the best. Don’t let vets tell you otherwise. They get kick backs for pushing shitty kibble brands.

I'm so happy to have found you. We got a ferret from a friend who couldn't keep her (military) and we think she's about 9 mo old. We have her on dry kibble and isn't exactly box trained. She picks her corner but we have a box and are trying to train her to use it. She is also in a 3 tiered cage for most of the day but we let her out in a big fenced off area in one of our living rooms. We have two older mini Dachshunds and are working to be able to keep her out more after we ferret proof other areas. You're inspiring and very knowledgeable. I'll be watching ALL your videos.

No, you need to do kibble available in their cage 24/7 OR Raw. Mixing kibble and meat often can mess with their nutrients so its best to do one or the other.

Unfortunately no. Kibble is expensive because it is filled with real meat. The cheaper you go, you can get potatoes, rice, peas which harm ferrets. I would recommend surrendering your animal if you cannot afford a quality food. This may sound harsh, but you must feed raw or a ‘quality’ food. It will harm your ferret in the near future and isn’t fair. Ferrets are expensive pets and shouldn’t be kept if you cannot afford it. They need high quality food, expensive vet trips. It sounds bad again, but please surrender if you cannot provide proper care. They are not budget pets.

Also you’re 13 meaning the chance of you working is slim, so you rely on your parents to pay for everything and ferrets are expensive. So financially it’s hard for kids to be fully responsible for ferrets.

Hey, I have a question. I have had my ferret for a few years now and no matter how long we have another ferret with him, he hates them. I have rats that love him and he loves the rats and will play with them. I have tried several different ferrets with him and the longest I kept another one with him was about one month. I had to get rid of the other one because the one I have now almost killed the other ferret. He never shows any signs of hostility with my rats and vice versa. In my situation is it okay to only have one ferret? (They are out basically all day unless I leave and bed time.)
I am working on ferret proofing my bedroom which is the only room I have for her at the moment because I have other animals. But my bedroom has plenty of space. The way my house is setup is ridiculous so trying to ferret proof has been extremely hard. Especially keeping her out of the vents or under the vents. I bought something to block under the vent an it is working so far. I have a few more things to work out so she can be out most of the day, but im trying I make sure to make sure she is out alot of the day. There is a ferret rescue in Maryland and you can adopt a single for 80$ or a bonded pair for 140$. We only have one ferret i am thinking of adding another but still unsure. I just got a new ferret an was told she is about 8 months old but she is super tiny I feel like. An I asked if she was fixed and was told no but she does have the double dots on her ears. She has only been here for 1 week so I am taking her to the vet soon.

If your parents say they are too expensive, wait until you are older. They are expensive and require a lot of vet care. The smell will also not go away, because you cannot use scented things on or around them. No candles or air fresheners.
just wondering will my ferrets still be happy if i play with them for 1-2 hours in the morning and put them in the cage for 7-8 seven hours to go to work and let them out for the rest of the day before putting them to bed?

But my male also seems to have real loose stool unless I put eggshell in there food. I just have a few questions I want to do this diet so bad but is it OK to blend everything ? Hey, I have severe anxiety and depression and my ferrets have helped me mentally so much; however, depending on your illnesses, they can be a lot of stress and work. To explain; I also have OCD, and they poop everywhere. It has challenged my cleanliness and my anxiety about dirt; but in a good way for me. This won’t be the case for everyone. They require a TON of cleaning, grooming, money etc. If you can financially afford it, don’t mind the cleaning and the attention they need, then depending on the illness it can be fine. For me, they have helped my mental more than they have cause bad anxiety. However they still have added to my stress.

The smell isn’t really that bad !! It’s just how like a dog smells like a dog and a cat smells like a cat

if anyone sees this comment. is it okay to keep them in a cage all night? since i dont wanna have them out at night incase my cats get in and stuff. also when im at school will it be bad to keep them in when im at school or should i let them out when im at school?
I know someone who has a solo ferret but I think they probably did that for the ferret sake because it hates other ferret
My mom and dad wontg let me get ferret because they "stink". They won't listen to me about the smell!

Hello there i have a question. Um are ferrets a good pet to have for like mental health.. i mean some people have survice dogs and i know they arent really compatible.. but what im trying to say is can they be a good companion to a person if the person is a little emotionaly unstable?
Hey, I have severe anxiety and depression and my ferrets have helped me mentally so much; however, depending on your illnesses, they can be a lot of stress and work. To explain; I also have OCD, and they poop everywhere. It has challenged my cleanliness and my anxiety about dirt; but in a good way for me. This won’t be the case for everyone.
They require a TON of cleaning, grooming, money etc. If you can financially afford it, don’t mind the cleaning and the attention they need, then depending on the illness it can be fine.
For me, they have helped my mental more than they have cause bad anxiety. However they still have added to my stress.
