not sure if this is why the tiger showed up, but this song was inspired by Hoshi. Hoshi mentioned in concert that there was an instance when they were talking during tour and he said something wrong. Woozi immediately told him he stepped over line and Hoshi replied I'm sorry but it just so happens that it's my first time living today. Woozi took note of his phrase. Yes, the tiger is very proud that he inspired Woozi.
JOSHUA was represented by meerkat due to its behaviour and characteristics that was shown in MV "they tend to live in underground networks that tend to have certain different entrances" And the tiger at end represented hoshi becuz this beautiful song existed just becuz of him 🥹🥹🥹 These little things are random but it's really meaningful if focus on every detail
I am a huge ONE DIRECTION fan and a proud 'CARAT' too and i have said it before and say it again, SEVENTEEN is the only 'ONE DIRECTION' coded group in the world. I mean look at the MV, the vocals , everything is so healing and perfect , no western music, pure kpop, the genre that kpop has been missing all these years!!!!!!!!!! 'NOBODY DOES IT LIKE SEVENTEEN'
I've been WAITING for your reaction!! I cried through the whole thing...and cried even more when I saw the tiger! I'm sure you know most of this already, but I'm sharing what I wrote under another reaction. Joshua (aka Shua) has been likened to a meerkat, since he's always looking around with those big deer-like eyes; and I guess he's wondered if he was lovingly called that or not, only to find he has a SHUAKAT fan club. Woozi has said many times he HATES going out and has groceries delivered; so I think it's precious that when he finally faced his fear to go shopping for himself, he gave the helpful grandmother (a tip of the hat to his own grandmother who inspired the Vocal team's first song "20") a bouquet of chamomiles as a thank you, which is the official flower of Carats and also represents calming and healing, as a thank you. The rock is Jeonghan and DK's pet rock named Jjongdol. They take turns caring for him and even post pictures and updates on Weverse about how Jjongdol is doing. :) Perhaps DK and Jeonghan are setting Jjongdol free, and it's their way of releasing comfort in pet rocks and finding it in each other. (??) I know DK never liked school because he said his butt wanted to move too much; but I think his line "I want to be alone, but I don't want to be alone" as he sits with Jjondol (an inanimate object) is the point. As for Seungkwan, he LOVES his phone and has said he wouldn't be able to live without it. (I also can't help but wonder if it's a little tribute to Moonbin who doesn't call him anymore; and one of the last videos we saw of Seungkwan and Moonbin together were them riding bikes...) As for Jeonghan, he has said he doesn't like getting older as his eyesight is getting bad. So each member brought their fears and heartache to the Tiny Issue Club, or TIssue Club where they were able to talk things out, gain support and find REAL friends. I LOVE how Seventeen tackles the REAL issues of people (especially young people) today, and never fails to give hope, support and comfort! I saw where someone else commented that the members are representing the various stages of life: Seungkwan (elementary school), Jeonghan (middle-/high-school), DK (college), Joshua (young adult professional) and Woozi (older years when feeling closed off). And seriously...I ABSOLUTELY ADORE how Woozi thanked Hoshi for inspiring the song! "It just so happens that it's my first time living today" is what Hoshi said when he made some mistake in one of the concerts; and Woozi took that inspiration to make this masterpiece. Horanghae forever!!
You're one of my fave Seventeen reactors. Thank you for your reaction and your kind words too! And this is a bit long but thank you for reading cause they really put a lot of elements in the MV that are so relatable, Seventeen- or ordinary-persons-wise 😅 SEUNGKWAN is someone who seems to be always on the edge, either cause of constant calls or his alarms. I feel like he's got a lot of deadlines to beat that when his phone fell into the fishtank and turned into a fish, he wanted to get it fixed cause he knows he needed it for his daily life but neither a fisherman nor the Oppo staff accepted to fix it 😅 he then just made it into a pet fish, even showing it to DK (who had a pet rock 😆) and at the end his polaroid said 'I hope the day would come when my noisy alarm is less annoying'. His one way of reducing stress? Popping bubble wrap, which is probably so relatable with a lot of people, including me 😅 WOOZI, who in real life we know is an introvert and doesn't really like going out, has a robot who even does the errands for him, like doing the grocery. But being alone only with his robot friend, he eventually felt like there's a missing piece of him as he was doing the puzzle. He tried to overcome his situation and visited the supermarket himself and gave flowers to the grandma staff, probably a way of thanking her. Somehow it feels to me that it's a way of saying we might rely on AI/robots but having to feel that connection with another person still gives a different, warmer feeling. In his polaroid shot, it said 'My friend who brought me out into the world' talking about his robot friend. AI/technology can be a friend but let's not forget about human relationships too. DOKYEOM is a student who seems to be struggling and coping with stress in his studies and his college life in general. While this is relatable everywhere else, I feel like it's especially true in South Korea where they put value in studying and grades so much that a lot would say, 'Grades isn't everything' . His way of coping is to have a pet rock (who even won a trophy 😆). On his exam paper (apparently like an MBTI one taken when you apply for jobs), he even wrote Dol (rock) instead of the answer 😅 In one scene at the T(iny)ISSUE CLUB, he himself was the rock which what he also probably feels at times, that he is a Dol Meori (rock head) or someone whose head doesn't absorb anything/someone who isn't bright. Incidentally, I came across a video which claims that young people in SoKor now take rocks as pets to cope with stress since rocks are easier to take care of. I'm not sure tho how true this is but the video did include a clip of Jeonghan and his own pet rock, Doljjong, so some say JH was the one who started this trend 😆 Towards the end, we see DK throwing his pet rock away with Jeonghan, probably to symbolize him breaking out of his mindset that he'd never do good with his studies. In his polaroid shot, it said 'With Dolkyeong, who won first place in the idling contest'. 😆 JOSHUA is an office worker who is like a meerkat, cause he seems to be looking at everyone, monitoring them. Turns out, in the note with the umbrella, it said Joshua Daeri-nim (Assistant Manager Joshua) meaning he must be at least a position higher than most of those around him. The reason why he's looking around is either cause he's a supervisor to them or he's anxious of what others might think about him, if he's doing a good job. He seems to be stressed about it that he even dreams about it, falling asleep in his car. Unknowingly, his colleagues actually support him, even having a Shua-kat Club 😆 the note on the umbrella said 'Asst. Manager Joshua, thank you for lending me your umbrella' and we see him at the MV's beginning, how he's rained on. He also found a flyer with his photo that said 'We love how you look at us. Keep looking around like a meerkat and we will support you whatsoever, Shua-kat!'. Seems he himself didn't know that he's actually doing great in his job being an assistant manager. In his polaroid shot, it said 'With the Shua-kat Club' 😆 And with JEONGHAN, it seems he's suffering from a physical disability that he feels an inferiority complex about it. But during their T(iny)ISSUES meeting, when he took off his glasses, he actually saw everyone in a different light. I feel like he tends to downplay his capabilities and feel he's not good enough when in fact, he didn't really need the glasses. The board he was reading when his eyesight was getting checked said FOREVER IS A LIE. In the end, he also threw his glasses away (in another fishtank) and in his polaroid shot, it said 'Look directly at it, without glasses'. I think in a way, it also gives the message that we shouldn't overcomplicate things at times. See them as they are. There was a small word after T of TISSUE: Tiny... so it actually reads as T(iny)ISSUE CLUB and the flyer when zoomed in says it's a club where you can share your tiny issues and people there can help you solve them. It's why the 5 of them got together and got to help and support each other. I love how they highlighted also the importance of a support group like your family and friends especially at times you feel exhausted, troubled, alone, or lost 🥲🥰 And ofc, Hoshi's cameo. If you're a Carat, you know even without context that when you see a 🐯 it's no one else but Hoshi 🤣 it just... clicks! 🤣 and it's all because of his quoted line 'Sorry, I'm also living today for the first time' that Woozi got the idea for Cheers To Youth 🥰 He shared that story during their Follow Again concert in Seoul about the time when he apologized to the members of something he said that the members felt was a bit too much and said, 'Sorry it's my first time living today'. 🤭 I feel like CHEERS TO YOUTH is the younger sibling of FML... their messages both meant to heal and inspire everyone! ❤️🥰
I understand about you brooo , sometimes I don't really want to talk to other just like what you said I just wanna by myself but not all the time , is just a period of time and I will start going together with my friends again . sorry for maybe wrong grammar but I trust that you can understand it haha
