Matt is the real deal. He shared some time with me a few years ago and he’s exactly the kinda guy you see here. I ultimately went the stock route because of where I live (expensive Bay Area, numbers don’t work) but if I lived anywhere else his advice and experience is unmatched. He’s done both landlording, investing, and fixing units to increase value. He literally does every aspect of RE investing, including finding ways to negotiate the best price for a new driveway for one of his properties. You legitimately can’t do better than him and I still follow him regardless of the path I’m choosing. Thank you Matt. You’re a legend 👌 Andrew P.

I absolutely loved this episode. While I am not as far along as Matt I relate to his story and personality quite a bit. I really think that someone who is constantly taking responsibility for outcomes in life and using them as a way to reflect and get better can't help but be successful. I think most people hold themselves back by trying to justify why things happen or why they are not getting ahead. While that may feel good it also holds you back. It's hard to look in the mirror and say I am not achieving the results I want and it's my fault. What do I need to do differently, but I promise doing so will get you where you want to go. GREAT VIDEO MINDY!!!

beginning investing in 1998 was a great time overall , if you invested in index funds instead of individual stocks , and were dollar cost averaging from 1998-2024 ... it went to crap in 2000 , but then you had 20+ years of good times at the end of the period ... fire sale prices for 10 years and then huge growth for over 10 years ... its almost a perfect time to start investing in index funds with the benefit of hindsight
I wouldnt change anything. I'm thrilled with how it worked out. And of all my friends who all started around the same time. I'm the only one who is retired and not working make multiples what they do. But that's ok. They like their choice.
