I remember the first incident from when I was a kid. I lived in Covina not even half a mile from the Ortega house, right across from Royal Oak Middle School. Didn't hear the gunshots, but definitely heard the sirens and saw the insane fire all the way from my house. I'll never forget it. I passed right by the house several years ago while on a walk with a friend and it was still under construction and unoccupied at the time. I had completely forgotten about the event until I told my friend "god damn, that house is giving me an eerie feeling. Straight out of a horror movie." She then reminded me that that was the Ortega house. It sent a chill down my spine as I instantly remembered the fire from when I was a kid and I stared at that house for a long while afterwards. I'm skeptical but open to believing in spirits/energy, and that was the strongest feeling I've ever had in my life. A massive wave of negative energy washed over me and left every nerve in my body unsettled. If there's ghosts in the world, I'd bet there's some there because that place felt like a heavy rift.
I just checked two months ago out of curiosity and it looks like a new family lives in that renovated home now. Hope they don't have the same feeling I did when I passed by that place years ago.

The second case is truely disturbing, considering this man's complete control over his insane double life. I probably wouldn't have suspected him for one second, because he kept up his facade of 'nice and normal' so perfectly over so many years and was so highly functional in every day life... How is this even possible? Did he suppress his real needs for decades? Did he develop this side of his personality only later in life? Is there a past we don't even know of? Would be interesting, to hear his wife and children about him...
