You mentioned your maternal grandmother from PR, and I immediately thought of my late maternal grandmother. Grams was an awesome cook. And an awesome woman in general. She could cook, Sew, crochet, bake, can, and pretty much everything. I miss her so much. Thank you for sharing your memory of your grandmother, because I remember my Grams in the kitchen when we'd visit her in Up State New York up around the Canadian border. She abd her second husband would have the most amazing garden.
Yes! My mom and Aunts were always in the kitchen. As you know , I’m from Puerto Rico and Fall is my birthday and Fall is my favorite season, lots of memories….. I very much enjoyed darling as always. Beautiful sourdough bread! I bet the flavors are just wonderful:) I love fall too and it's a cozy time of year and I enjoy sitting around the fire pit and cooler weather. The days are getting shorter and the shadows are changing. I am sorry to hear about your tomatoes and I will say a prayer for you that you will get a great amount next time. Take care!
After a very long time my homemaking mojo is back. I have been following on purpose channels like yours to find inspiration again. In February I suffered a huge burn out,my body completely shut down, it was the scariest thing I have ever experienced. It literally felt like my body and mind couldn't support my lifestyle anymore. Took me two months to start functioning again and I am still work in progress. My days are filled with cooking,baking, maintaining our home clean and cozy, I spend a lot of time with my kids,my dog and my husband. I no longer care about superficial things: I wear what I already have in my closet, I even stopped using make-up for a while. I don't feel the need to hide my imperfections, I just have this huge yearning to be present, to live slowly and peacefully. Thank you so much for being such an inspiration. I am so glad I found your channel. ❤❤

You are not alone on the tomatoes! It seems all of the tomatoes here grown crazy big with flowers but no fruits! Or I got huge green ones that refused to ripen! And there have been plenty of bees as well. I thought I was just me but apparently wide spread issue this year. I do have an overwhelming amount of jalapeños so I will be pickling those (for the 4th time cause they went crazy this year!) I always get my homekeeping mojo back on upon getting close to fall. Great video thanks!
@@MichelleL22 same here! Flowers and lots of bees and I did have some green ones that just died off. It’s been a zucchini and basil year for me lol. I haven’t grown jalepenos but those would be great to have too. Thank you for watching 😊
I tried the sun-dried tomatoes after you showed how you made them on your very first recipe using them and they truly are good. What type of little oven do you have on your counter? It looks very handy.. The bread looks amazing! have a great weekend
@@sharenp3839 oh that’s right! I remember you telling me. The little oven is an emeril legasse all in one my mom gave me for Christmas. It works so good and it’s nice having something I can bake in that won’t heat the house up every time. Enjoy your weekend too ❤️
