In Foundry your base ores have a finite amount to them and you'll eventually see them running out which can cause all sorts of issues in your factory so in this video we're going through how to make the ores infinite so you don't have to worry about your automation lines coming to a stop but you'll need to be really far in the game to get this done or use the debug menu to speed things up a bit. Yep, also I haven't dug a single hole since I unlocked an elevator (the regular one). It digs for you, also it provides electricity.
Extremely addicting game. Only at science level 4 but having a blast
Very addicting game. I have just reached science level 4 and realized that once at this point it will take much more time to reach the fracking level than I expected. After watching your video kind of worried about the pipe setups I'll need to make just to use the fracking towers now. I think it may be best to just build pumpjacks closer to the fracking towers and make the fracking fluids that way closer to them. May be a pain to get power to them only that way, and it would decrease the pipe work needed and pumps. The airships and freight elevators will be a must for me once the fracking tower is unlocked. I'm not running 2k belts anymore, lol. It's fine early game with the jetpack unlocked, but not once you have reached end game. Thanks for showing this as I was wondering how this fracking stuff was going to work. Now that I know, I can plan ahead accordingly.
I would agree to use pumpjacks to get olumite closer but there are some very isolated veins and we found piping to be easier to use than setting up a whole new area to get the liquid to the fracking tower. Not only that but if you get power poles and cable you can just run those to a transformer and power your foundation that way which makes it a lot easier than connecting building blocks to setups really far away if that makes sense. Is it true for every miner on the core you need 5 liters of fracking liquid per minutes per miner?
That's what the game says but it seems a little low.
Took me 3 days. Of average play time to get ore minors. And 1 more day to get fracking stuff. Easy peasey.

Is there an ore vein for olumite, or are those only on the surface? Because you need that to make fracking liquid, so if that is not infinite too, then I assume you will run out of the olumite close to you, and have to keep searching farther away to make more liquid. I realize the game will end by then for most people, but anyone trying to make a true megabase will have to keep expanding to make more fracking liquid.
Olumite is a liquid that is extracted with a drill and the reservoirs are infinite, they work like the ore veins rather than the ore nodes 👍

@@Born2Game olimite is not infinite as far as I know if 'V' over a patch it will show you the remaining capacity
