Even though Tim is a leader,he still listenes to his co-workers whenever they correct him and learns from them which actually makes him a great leader.
Actually, that’s what makes him a leader in the first place. No one gets to where they are on their own, they have help, they help in return without expecting anything else and they give credit where credit is due.
What I like about this is that Bradford realizes Nolan is just down to help him and his family with the house, with no agenda or need for a favour in return, and he realizes John would be a great union rep because of that same attitude, so he breaks his rule and speaks up.

If you bothered to look at the Neilson ratings, you'd see it scores terribly for its time slot. The ONLY saving grace the show may have is that it does go up against tough contest from Sunday Night Football. However, that will be decided in DVR reviews, like you mentioned, which are NOT publicly available at the moment, so you can't say if those views are good or not.
I think that Tim should realize that Ashley Isn't his person but also realize that Lucy is for him, she brings out the best in him every time.. i believe that they will find there own way to be together finally! I noticed it.. :) Who thinks so too??!
I agree with you about the characters and that the "Chenford" stuff is based on something deeper than flirting, the idea that another person makes you better. A theory I have in how they fulfill audiences expectations, is to have a shift in their professional dynamic. Imagine in Bradford was injured so bad he thinks he might never be a cop again (something akin the battlefield recovery we see war veterans go through) and Chen being a gifted counselor is there for him. A story line like that or something similar is your best context for a romantic moment where forget their professionalism. Whatever happens, it's just a nice change to see characters that truly respect each other in this fractured age.
For whoever is just seeing this clip, earlier in the episode or maybe previous episode, Bradford said he never endorsed a candidate. That' and how big of a deal Bradford is in the department are what make this so damn aw inspiring
Lol Smitty’s reaction. Also, I like how Tim listens to Lucy. He seems to do that a lot when it comes to important things, and she listens to him to. They clearly value each other’s opinions, which I think will cause a bit of trouble in his apparent relationship with Ashley. I hope he is able to find closure with his father, because he clearly wouldn’t be okay never talking to him after he dies. Even if it’s to just tell him how much of a horrible father he was, he needs to say something.
Ironically Officer Nolan disagrees... in an earlier episode he gives his best friend Ben the advice that closure doesn't make you feel any better. It's what you make of it that determines your life. And pushing/influencing Tim so that he engages his past again is wrong. It should come from himself, out of his own desire
Honestly in this scene Lucy behavior irritated me. instead of her ackonwledging that Tim has every right to be angry and that he is deeply hurt and talks to the sister pointing out these things she just takes the sister side automatically.
@@arx5638did you even watch the scene? She never said tim doesn't have the right to be angry. She recognized he had it the worst but suggested that trying to go forward is better than being stuck on the past
yes. I agree. He's like Busan Hero in one-punch man. He's not the protagonist. But he shows great character, and good judgement so many times. He's my favorite character on the show. Nolan is nice but he's the protagonist so he gets special treatment.
I will do the same as Bradford did about his father and anything about his father, Help about the house but never ever meet his father for the rest of his father's life.
Man, living in LA must be insane, if my dad left me a house that could be worth a million bucks, I'd just straight up retire. Bradford out here talking like a million bucks is just some good money they could get while still working. Crazy
Rent in LA is pricey......what they pay for rent for 1 bedroom in LA I can get a 4 bedroom 3 bath in another state and have some actual privacy instead of living on too of one another
Nolan is essentially Ted lasso. He is a dude with unique background which makes the exact opposite of what anyone would consider him good at the role and surrounded by dramatised pessimists, only for his unmatched forward drive and relentless optimism forces them to be better people while actively being angry at how much they’ve changed. Harper, bishop, Bradford, Gray all did it.

Nolan helping with the house because he knows what to look for after being in construction for many years. Probably brushed up on California building codes as he worked on his own house. Always make sure you get a professional to make sure there are no hidden surprises.
